Love the new stairs, no doubt those will be around much longer!
The lighthouse definitely needs TLC, let's volunteer and get it done!

Just gorgeous. Walked over to the lighthouse at low tide. The landscape and the location of the lighthouse are wonderful. An absolute must.

Better known as the East Quody Lighthouse, this lighthouse is by far one of the most picturesque and interesting lighthouses I have “visited”. I put “visited” in quotes because we arrived at high tide, and the water was deep and turbulent in the chasm between the point of land that supports the lighthouse and Campobello Island itself. At low tide, it is possible to descend the stairs to the ocean floor and cross to another set of stairs that leads up to the path to the lighthouse. However, the island is in the Bay of Fundy, which has one of the most dramatic tidal changes on the Atlantic shoreline. A wall of water rushes in as the tide changes, and one can easily be trapped on the island for 8 hours until the tide changes. It is not safe to try to cross the ocean floor as the tide is coming in, or to try to swim across at any time.

Beautiful scenery, you can walk over to the lighthouse at LOW tide. Saw a few Minki Whales off shore.

It is well worth a visit if you are in the area. If you actually want to visit the lighthouse, you need to go at low tide and make sure your back on the mainland before the ride comes back in. You need to buy a ticket to go up to the lighthouse.
