I walk around the campground and through the day use area nearly every day from May to September. They have added some new cabins recently and soon will have a much needed bathhouse at the waterfront campground. The viewing platform overlooking the beach and out to Grand Manan is worth walking to. You can walk the beach all the way to the Roosevelt Campobello International Park and with some road walking you can complete the trail which leads you back to the day use area past the Rock of Gibraltar. The trails in the park definitely need maintenance however. Even the trail from the main campground to the day use area and waterfront campground needs gravel and drainage. The trail from the campground to rmRock of Gibraltar needs major maintenance. From the Glen Severn road to the Rock of Gibraltar The bridges are in good shape, but there are some trees that need to be cut. And also would be nice if they actually made a parking lot for the trail on the Glen Severn road.

Beautiful, quiet campground minutes from the water. Campground centrally located on the island. No water or sewer on site. Fire pit. Very large sites with a choice of fully and partially wooded or open field. Small playground with a mini splash pad. Camping cabins available.

I can't say enough about this campground. It's part of a provincial park so the rates are low. There aren't many amenities like a pool etc so you don't have tons of loud and annoying people around. It is nice and quiet and clean. The shower facilities are excellent and the staff is A+. I originally was scheduled to camp during memorial day weekend but one of the kids got sick the day before we left. I called to cancel and they refunded me no questions asked. I was planning on caulking up as a loss. So we went a couple weeks later. We were running late and weren't going to make check in before closing time. I gave them a call and they checked me in over the phone. No big deal. I will be staying again in the future.
PS.this is a power only hook up campground. No water or sewer but there is a dump station and potable water locations around the campground.

Excellent place. We had views of the long gravel Beach. Great place for hiking and fairly quiet too!
