Hopewell Rocks Motel & Country Inn

The location is perfect if you want to watch the high and low tides of the Bay of Fundy But the hotel is dilapidated and dirty - the bed was like sleeping on a rock and we could hear everything our neighbours said through the walls.
We were actually put in the basement of the hotel?
The shower was a joke and the towels were dirty
It has so much potential but needs a lot of attention
The restaurant was a joke - my BLT sandwich had 1 slice of bacon cut in half

Top selling point for this motel is the location near the Hopewell Rocks. It serves a purpose as a clean place to spend a night. Our small room was a bit of an odd layout where the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom. Overall the motel would be a gem of a place if kept up a little better and the restaurant was actually working as advertised. I'm guessing this place was once a booming operation in it's day. Staff shortage seems to be an issue as we only ever saw 2 people that seemed to be running everything and struggling with language and providing even basic service which is unfortunate. The restaurant was just a very limited takeout menu with mostly appetizers. There was no bar. The fish and chips seemed more like packaged fish you would buy in the grocery store. The dining room section was closed so you had to eat outdoors at a picnic table or back in your room. We didn't stay for the included continental breakfast as we anticipated more disappointment an decided to push on to Alma where we had a fantastic breakfast.

The wi-fi was pretty much nonexistent. When I enquired at the front desk they just said there were too many people on it for it to work well. It didn’t work at all. Connectivity is extremely important to me when I travel and I probably won’t ever stay there again because of this.

The front of the building looks charming & not too bad. But we were directed to the back of the building, where the pool was. There is a screened in hallway in front of these rooms, with a screen door at each end. It is so run-down I was speechless, trim the weeds down and fix the screening. We did not use the pool. It is in a remote location & we were told that the restaurant may or may not be open due to staffing issues. Nothing close to get food. Room was clean but dated. Will not return

Honestly a star is generous.
Yes it's a bit dated but that can be charming- not the issue. The bed rolled around as it wasn't anchored. The shower didn't drain. You could hear every footstep as the walls were thin. There was no soap and only one towel and one face cloth in the bathroom. The "continental breakfast" was cereal, toast, mini muffins from a store and eggs in a slow cooker that were so tough and tasted like cooked in vinegar. The juice was in a jug homemade and was Tang.

No one around at check out either so a bunch of us left our keys. Which, was a bit dispointing because I would have provided this feedback to the staff directly and not on here given the change. Cleanliness was fine. Staff were polite. Location is great. However quality is lacking and I won't be back.

Super comfy beds, clean and location location location. Easy access to hopewell park. Pool was clean but lots of mosquitoes. Whole site was tired but clean. The continental breakfast was good and nothing special. The restaurant evening service was poor. Food quantity and taste surprisingly good just took an hour (1 cook, 1 server: high season). If restaurant had better service I would have given 5 stars. Gift shop closed no staff.

Clearly showing its age, breakfast very simple and everything in plastic packaging. The location to the Hopewell rocks and the heated outdoor pool are positive

Short one night stay on our way through in mid-June. The staff were friendly and helpful at checkin. We stayed in an upstairs room in the adult only section. The room was basic but looked like it had undergone some renovations. It was clean and had all the amenities we required with a great view of the Bay. Stopped in for dinner and, though the waitress was lovely, she was working alone and, with a backup of guests arriving at the time, we left for another place down the road. Breakfast was not fancy but had everything we were looking for with coffee/juice, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled egg, toast, etc.

Si vous allez coucher à cet endroit pour voir le Parc provincial d'Hopwell avec ces magnifiques rochers rouges, c'est l'endroit. Par contre, le restaurant ferme à 17h.

The staff were so lovely when we checked in. We were on fourth floor in adult only section. Had a little balcony with a bench, and with such an amazing few of the bay, it was incredible! The room was just the basics but we didn’t need anything more. Comfortable and quiet! And literally 2 minutes from Hopewell Rocks provincial park which was what we went for! I had a lovely experience and would go back in a heartbeat!

The room is clean, the bedding is clean, the towels are clean but somewhat gray.
The room has a refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer.
It does not have a microwave oven

Good size room, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, continental breakfast included, dinner available, close to Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park.
No refrigerator in room, noise-polluting thin walls and ceilings, spotty wifi.
