Irving Nature Park is a natural jewel with vast biodiversity. Its well-preserved trails offer a captivating journey through diverse ecosystems, from rocky beaches to swamps. The panoramic view of the Bay of Fundy is spectacular, especially during high tides. However, signage on some trails can be improved to guide visitors. Ideal for nature lovers, photographers and families. Facilities are limited so it is advisable to bring snacks and water. A serene destination to enjoy natural beauty and relax amid tranquility.

A peaceful spot to go for a drive, walk, run, bike ride.
Trails and pit stops aplenty, outhouses available throughout, as well as gathering places for friends and family. There are lookout spots with Gorgeous views of the water, and a cookout area with grills.
Along the way there's never a shortage of wildlife.

Really pleasant place for a nice hike. We did the full loop around the little peninsula which is recommended but a bit muddy.

We had a great experience walking around the Nature park & Beach. Kids loved it and had fun at the Children's park too. We drove up the park and walked through the trails. The scenic view was wonderful.

This place is such a gem. We spent about 3 hours in the park walking a couple of loops as we tackled the Squirrel and Heron trails that go entirely around the perimeter of the park. You go from being surrounded by trees and quiet to sections that just open up to beautiful views of the water. It was a cool way to take in nature, get some exercise, and get away from our phones. Also to note is how well-maintained the park is! No garbage on the ground and the bathrooms we stopped at were fine (stocked with TP and hand sanitizer).

One thing that made our experience special was coming across a group that was having a small community BBQ and they invited us to join before we moved on. We obviously appreciated the offer for some snacks and drinks, but always love being able to connect with locals and talk about what it’s really like to live where we’re visiting. They were such a welcoming group and we loved meeting them!

Excellent location just outside the city offers a very welcoming first impression of the area.

There are multiple areas, trails and entrances so if you want to see it all, but are somewhat short on time, it's best to plan your routes. If you plan accordingly, you can also see the rise and fall of the tides. 600 acres comprising of a children's park, beach, forests, BBQ pits and picnic tables coupled with various activities throughout the year. It's a nice break from the more industrial feel of the main city area in Saint John.

Excellent and well maintained park and trails. Great place to tire out your kids and possibly spot some wildlife.

I loved Irving Nature Park because they could go to Irving Park for Dad and Me Next time, Liam's school field trip was extremely good in the past school years.

Beautiful forest trails, amazing views from the rock cliffs, and seal sightings at mid day low tide.
Beautiful day!

Well groomed trails in a breathtaking location. It takes about 2 hours to do the loop and the trails are well suited for people of all age.

The Irving Nature Park boasts splendid views of the ocean, Arboreal forest, and marshy areas with long slender boardwalks. It is one of my favourite natural wonders in the Saint John Regional area to visit! Sunshine or dense majestic mist, this place is a natural wonder for both tourists and locals to explore. A must see!

One of the nicest outdoor places to go near Saint John. Lots of wildlife and walking trails, the beach is lovely as well

The park is quite beautiful in the summer and still very enjoyable and peaceful in the winter! The only thing I would change is pave the road that people drive in on and park their cars, then they wouldn't have to constantly resurface it and it wouldn't be so harsh on suspension at the times they haven't gotten to it. Great place to come have a family bbq or any type of celebration really. Plenty of wonderful trails to hike, and many animals to spot

Two words: Gravel bike!

. But beware of the people walking on the wrong side or in group of many taking the whole width of the main trail.

Awesome little park, beach road is never consistently maintained however.
Today is like bombs hit it, can’t be healthy for vehicles

Only 1 thing to do there. Walk around and enjoy the beauty of nature. You can walk around or drive the little over 6km trail. The boardwalk is nice as well.

One of the best natural nature parks I have ever been to. So well taken care of. The picnic area with propane BBQ was incredible. Although we didn't use them. Loved the walk around the entire place. The lookout we're beautiful. Thankyou

Beautiful place, great for taking the dog on a nice run. Good for watching nature and plenty on places to just sit and relax on the waters edge.

This is a beautiful park with a nice driving loop and a great series of walking trails. There are usually seals in the surf around seal rock, just watch for a bit and you will see their heads popping up out of the water. We always stop when we are passing through St John. For some reason, people seem to walk on the road, not on the trails, so be careful when you are driving.

Sweet spot, again the difference between low and high tide is so very noticeable. Nice beach for a walk.

Plein de balades à faire pour les familles ou sportifs. Un beau parc naturel accessible aussi en voiture (limité à 20km/h)
27 October 2019 17:53
Lots of walking trails and parking options. Info center was very helpful and friendly. Boardwalk and structures needed a bit of TLC

Besides being the place where my wife and I first met, it is the best nature park within any city in Atlantic Canada, no question. Big, well designed for public access with lots of trails boardwalks and interpretive signs it's one of the jewels of Saint John NB.

A great, mostly quiet and convenient slice of nature. If it wasn't great I wouldn't bring my dog there almost daily.

Saint John's hidden gem!

One of the highlights of our annual trip out East every year. Scenery is stunning and it never feels over crowded and is the very opposite of pretentious. Our kids love walking the beaches, picking up shells/rocks and just sitting on a beach blanket. Highly, highly recommended destination for anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful natural park land. We explored the children's forest and the maze which is a great feature. The playground also has a zipline which the kids enjoyed.

This is a very popular location and is enjoyed by many people, especially on weekends. Kudos to Irving for providing and maintaining the park. It is definitely a place people should visit if they are in the area.

Good, but a lot of room for improvement, Jungle gym and free bbq points are not just enough every other thing is natural what is the input from Irving.
