Had a great experience as always at this restaurant. The food is delicious and the customer service is top notch! Had a little problem with my take out order and they rectified the situation without hesitation. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back to this restaurant.

Our server was excellent, everything about the ambiance was great, and the food was very meh. We got an appetizer of meatballs to split and it came with the tiniest sliver of bread. Hardly enough for one, let alone two to share. My partner got the burger, which he enjoyed but fries were bland. I got a creamy chicken pasta dish and was left underwhelmed. The website said it would be tagliatelle, but what I received tasted like box linguine. The chicken was dry and the sauce lacked the truffle essence I was looking for. We got two desserts, the torta and the donuts. The torta was quite good but the donuts were very tough and the butterscotch sauce was gritty - miss in execution but good flavour. As it was our anniversary, they graciously offered us two glasses of champagne to celebrate. All together the bill with tip was about $140. Wouldn't recommend if you're a foodie, would recommend if you are looking for a vibe.

What an awesome evening of fabulous food. Oh and may I add that Perry, our waiter, just enhanced our experience to a whole new level Thank You. Will definitely be back!

A hidden gem of some of the best Italian food I have had coast to coast.out of the way up in New Brunswick, but if up near Saint John, then Italian by Night is a MUST EAT!

We came in for dinner and absolutely enjoyed everything.
The warm lighting and ambiance were very thought out and stellar. The kitchen staff and food were truly top notch- we ordered a pizza and the Oglio pasta and both were outstanding. The pizza dough and house made noodles were insane! So good!
And the service was really great - you could tell they were busy, but there was always time for a menu recommendation or question, and we weren’t rushed. I wish Google could let me do 6 stars.

This is the One, the standard in New Brunswick. Service, courtesy, delicious creative dishes, professional.
And amazingly loyal customers who often book a month in advance.

We didn't have a reservation having just arrived in town so we ate at the bar. The bartender was fantastic so attentive and witty with amazing cocktails. The food was 5 star. Definitely not to be missed.

Ravioli is always killer good.just a tad slow getting the food out to our table.service was good.recommend.

My partner and I went here for a late dinner. On sitting down a server told us that they were busy and that wait times may be longer. We did experience some minor waits, but nothing serious.

I opted for a seafood-based pasta and my partner ordered a steak which was the special of the night. We both found that the proteins of our meal were cooked extremely well and the quality of the meat/ingredients was exceptional. The plates came to around $40 and $50 respectively.

We did find that some of the sauces fell a bit flat, but nothing that would make us say it was a "bad meal" by any means.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere of Italian by Night can suffer a bit on behalf of its downstairs neighbors. The bar below the restaurant plays loud dance music which can be felt through the floor and heard through the entire meal. If you're looking for a quiet evening out, this may not be the place to go, but could be fun if you enjoy hearing muffled 2000s and 2010's hits! Our server made a few jokes about it, and it wasn't a big deal to us.

A good restaurant to eat at that won't disappoint, but in my opinion, is a bit too expensive for the experience. Taking a route that isn't the surf and turf might be better value for money.

A delightful experience as always! Our server Alex was superbly attentive and our meals were devine.

25 minutes of waiting (reservation at 8: 00 p.m, arrival at 7: 55 p.m. Seated at 8: 35 p.m.). The table where we sat had been empty for 10 minutes. Nothing is offered while waiting. The person at the reception and who places people seems inexperienced and does not seem motivated.
Clumsy server. She comes back after the order to say that they no longer have a dish (the waiters do not discuss with the kitchen to know the dishes available). Fast and smiling service (less than 15 minutes of waiting for the dishes).
The dishes are good, well cooked. The tiramisu lacks a bit of flavor.

Lovely spot, convenient location. Delicious menu, superb table service. Especially Alex and Jesse at the bar who went above and beyond to make sure that we had an excellent meal, fantastic service and a wonderful evening.
The Capris salad & meatball appetizer superb. We had the steak special medium rare, cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth delicious with tiramisu for dessert.
Definitely a return trip if ever in St. John, New Brunswick.

The food was delicious! I had a Caesar salad, linguini con sugo, and creme brulee. Everything was so good! An Italian lady recommended it to us, and she was right on.

The apps were the best part, main course was good but very heavy on pasta for the price, uncomfortably warm inside when I was there. Wait staff was great.

My favorite restaurant in the province. Food is wonderful and the atmosphere is always alive. Also really appreciate that the restaurant, from the kitchen to the front of house, is run by women (we love Dorothy!).

Awesome! The food is delicious and the service flawless. We had been here six years ago and rearranged our itinerary to eat here again - does not disappoint. Make a reservation very busy.

We went to this restaurant after reviewing recommendations on line and we’re not disappointed! We celebrated our anniversary.
We had a wonderful table by the window! The ambiance, service, food and drinks were outstanding!
They have fantastic non alcoholic drinks. My husband had a zero alcohol Gin and Tonic. I had a zero alcoholic Sangria! They were both outstanding!
We both had specials. We split a Caesar salad to start) one of the best I have had) Hubby had beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had a delicious beef ravioli in a white 3 cheese sauce. Yum! The bread was not included but available (at a small price) when asked for. We split a fabulous Pavlova for dessert. The restaurant provided 2 complimentary glasses of Prosecco for our anniversary! It was a spectacular experience and I’m very glad we went to this restaurant! Highly recommend. If ever back in Saint John, I would definitely return!

Our hostess was amazing sharing all of the details of each dish and great conversation. The atmosphere was lively. The price is on point for the area and meal portion was very filling. Very enjoyable experience and would recommend to make this a stop for anyone going out. Definitely book reservations.

Beware when making reservations for groups larger than that 10-12 persons as they will charge you for cancellations fees person irrespective if they fill the table post cancellation. I was charged on my credit card cancellation fees hours before the reservation time and the tables were used by others. Management originally confirmed no charged but call back later to say charges would apply as instructed by the Owner. Will book in further at other better less pricy finer eatery's.

Wow. The food is bursting with flavour, the wine selection is great, and service is wonderful. Dorothy is my fave and honestly I'll come back just for her. One of the staff is a sommelier and came out to help us choose the best wine for our meal, super knowledgeable and kind. Loved the ambience, there's lots of seating but it does stay busy the whole night!

My first dining experience was fully satisfying and frankly, quite impressive. As a former travel writer, I scrutinize eateries more than I probably should, since it usually diminishes the dining experience. Not so at Italian by Night. It is a well oiled machine, from the reservation process straight through to the cannolis on the dessert menu. I will definitely treat myself to a return visit - that is, if I can get a table! (P. S. - Our server Angie is a keeper.)
