I've been here two times.

The first, we experienced great service and wonderful portions, it was a comparison to Halifax sushi restaurants, and let me tell you japan go sushi in Moncton competes and wins on all levels!

The second time, my wife and I came, get this on the way back from Halifax to pick up Togo sushi for the kids. Again they accomodated and were amazing. I can't express how much you need to come here!

We were introduced to this place by a young man on YouTube. The food looked absolutely amazing and the gentleman gave it great reviews! We said that if we ever went to Moncton, this would be one place we would would DEFINITELY try. And so glad we did, we tried the Baked Scallop Roll! OH MY GOODNESS! By far the BEST dish I have every eaten! Each ingredients of this dish complimented the other! Absolutely DELICIOUS! My compliments to the chef! I would highly recommend trying Japan Go Sushi, and I will DEFINITELY be going back!

My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Tony, our server. His food recommendations were spot-on. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The service was attentive but not overly solicitous. As travelers, we appreciated being given a table near a plug (to charge our phones), and the chance to stay and relax a little longer after we had finished eating. Prices were reasonable given the quantity and quality of the food, and the personable and kind service. Gamsahamnida (Thank you)!

I wrote this a year ago (go below for updated version) : I love the ramen at JapanGo, it's tasty, a nice portion and deliciously spicy (seriously gotta try the spicy one, but then again I'm a lover of spicy food haha so maybe keep it simple if you are not used to) and the ambiance here is always calm and relaxed. I have been at this place a couple of times for either dinner or lunch and it never disappoints. A great ramen for sure and the staff is always friendly.
What you see in my photos is the chicken ramen and the veggie ramen, and a little snap shot of the inside of the restaurant, but in a nice weather day my husband and I enjoy sitting in their patio.
Also worth mentioning their sushi is DELICIOUS, the fried sushi is my favorite and I have found is one of the cheaper ones in town. One roll of my favorite avocado cucumber sushi is about 6 bucks for an eighth-piece roll and two bucks more if you want it fried.
I recommend this place for sure!

2023 review: I have gone back a few times since my first review, including last week and sadly I have been greatly disappointed more than once. The menu changed and the ramen now is just the ONE type (with pork). That would be fine but what's terrible is that, both my last two times, I have gotten a pork piece that is almost all fat and no meat. The ramen is still tasty but the quality has gone down for sure. Less veggies/meat and more noodles, too much noodles. And the pork is still tasty but what's the point if you can't eat it because is mostly a PURE fat piece. It is a shame, I liked this place so much. Their fried sushi is STILL awesome, I love the avocado deep fried roll. So if you are going for this, definitely go back! But I do NOT recommend the ramen anymore.

We had a wonderful meal here. Our waiter was well informed and provided suggestions we took to heart and then, actually tasted the difference.
Great portions quick service and an open and comfortable environment. Can't ask for more.great value.

My favourite: the Salmon Lover. If you are a salmon sashimi lover, you will definitely love this one.
Cute little spot, always a good customer service and a terrace in the summer, so you can enjoy your sushis outside!

The restaurnt is.just right in the centre of Moncton downtown. Have to find the place to park the car first.then.relax.enjoy yummy food The restaurant is cozy, small.but always so crowded customers dine-in as well as take-out. Friendly staffs, yummy flavors. Happy hang out

In 8 months in Canada, this is the worst sushi I've seen. To taste 5/10 in appearance 0/10 rice does not hold its shape, cut into different pieces. The hot sauce looked like it was made by two different people. Does not include ginger and wasabi

Great staff/service. Good food. Sensibly priced and good vegan options if that's your jam.
In my opinion they're batting 1000.

Had a great experience here. Their food was made quickly and delicious! Go in and take a look at their large selection of food.

Very fresh fish, tasty. But when I asked for extra caviar and even they charged me for it I didn't get enough. But overall a very nice restaurant.

This was my first time at this spot. Walked in right at opening to order a take out order. Also 4 other people came at two different tables. Had to wait just over an hour and half for my food. Longest I've ever I had to wait for sushi in my life! They said it would be 20 minutes.both these tables came in after me, ordered after me, but got their food before mine. Wasn't too impressed about that! I ordered Surf Clam Sushi they gave me Octopus Sushi. After driving an hour home, what are I am supposed to do. Little disappointed. That all said. Sushi was good. I'll go back to give another chance eventually!

Ordered Yakisoba for 3 and an appetizer. The waitress asked how spicy we wanted our Yakisoba to be so we went with medium. The food was ridiculously spicy, I was not even able to finish the plate (which was a small serving given the price and size of the bowl.) They also did not serve us our appetizer till we were done and waiting for the bill. Will never be back.

Excellent experience at this sushi restaurant. Everything was clean, staff were lovely, food was delicious, above standard and served in good time. The outdoor patio is a must on a beautiful summer afternoon! Highly recommend

Great sushi and noodles resto! Even the korean sundobu was tasty and spicy! They even gave us free spring rolls and gyozas, so nice!

We are delightful with great taste in fresh seafood and superb service. Also menu prices are very afforfable!

On our Sushi tour this place received 4 chopsticks out of 5. The price was most expensive but look at the location. Super chill downtown vibe. There were a lot of tempura on our boat so we did come out feeling fuller for sure.
Not a bad place. Service was great too and the sushi was very good.

Parking here is curb side wherever you can find it. There is a small patio out front with a few tables and umbrellas.

Staff are very nice. Inside appeared clean, not overly crowded with the tables. Washrooms were clean, up to date. Menu selections had a nice variety.

My husband and I have tried many Japanese restaurants in Moncton, this is our fav. Great food, awesome service.

Food was delicious and filling. Our 8yr old son loves sushi and their portions were shocking huge, the poor child could barely get a piece of rolled sushi in his mouth. Watch out for steep beer price, our bill was shocking after not seeing beer prices before ordering. Still I would highly recommend this spot bc staff was great too.

Great, friendly service. Very tasty food. I had the pad Thai and it was delicious. A little pricey depending on what you get but you get a good portion of food that fills you up. Great place, will be back.

First time there and we were quite impressed. The food was very tasty. My 6 and 8 year old sons like it as well

Always very friendly. Sometimes the food can take a little longer to come to your table but it's worth it. You'll never have a bad meal here

Walked in to place an order for take out and had a great experience. Was greeted and assisted quickly. As I was waiting for my food the gentleman came out with a glass of water and miso soup and pulled out a chair at the table for me. Doesn't seem like much but, I can honestly say I've never been treated that well at a restaurant especially while getting a take out order. The food is also amazing. Thank you for the experience!

We ordered 70 pieces sushi boat And it took them over 1 hour to get your food so be prepared! The sushie I find bit salty they put too much sauce. Forgot to add the service was not good they kept forgetting our order. Had to remind them. Went on Monday night where it wasn't busy at all

Good little spot! I had the Chicken Teriaki Sashimi Bento box for lunch - value is very good.

The miso soup before was good, the sashimi was great, and the bento was also very good.

Love the decor too, quaint and friendly, which is only reinforced by the friendly greeting (and response you get from the staff leaving!).

Definitely worth checking out at least once.

The Tempura was a big disppointment.
It was over fried with wrong temperature so it was very gracey. Tempura is the NO. 2 healthy food in Japan when cooked proper it Doesn't even have Oil on it. Very crunchy and Fresh taste inside. When they were cooking the restaurant smelled those old Oil smell. The location and the decor and the sushi we had ordered are all stander. But do not order their Tempura.worst I've had and I've been to most of the Sushi place here.

Had a wonderful time at Japan go, the atmosphere is cozy. The waitress Yukie was so friendly, and happy to help with my allergies and anything else we needed. Thank you so much everyone!
