Jolly Breeze Whale Adventures

I've been 3 times and have loved each experience. The crew take wonderful care of everyone on board. This time I got to see a couple of right whales, lots of porpoises, and a harbour seal. The trips have been good for bird watching too. The tall ship is such a unique experience, there's something for everyone including kids.

An amazing experience I would recommend to anyone. We were lucky enough to see some endangered right whales, harbour seals, and all other types of aquatic life. The crew and experience were top notch!

The ship was full of friendly people and a fun crew dedicated to giving guests the best experience they could. Free use of jackets and toques where there coild have easily been a sales opportunity.

The trip to the Bay of Fundy was so indescribably beautiful and we also saw whales. Highly recommended.

We attended a speedboat tour in early September. Great emotions, attitude of the staff and delicious cookies after returning.

Such a fun way to spend a few hours! The crew was fantastic and made it really fun for everyone. We saw minke whales, seals, bald eagles, deer. It was a great experience.

First time on this whale watching vessel. My daughter got the most out of it. They offered some face painting, some cookies and hot chocolate. We actually saw a whale breach a handful of times. Having been out on the other boats, seeing the whales or other sea life will vary. Either way, the whole experience was great and I'm sure I'll be on board again in the future. Thank you.

Lovely trip with a wonderful, accommodating crew who looked after us very well. Saw 3 whales, porpoises, eagles, ospreys and seals! Ran a little long so the young one was a bit restless but the touch aquarium helped break the monotony.

Love this boat. I've been out a few times. Always see whales. Wonderful informative freindly staff. Kids get to dress up like pirates before getting on. And they have a touch pool o board with local sea creatures.

Fun experience on the tall ship! Did see whales, porpoises and seals. They served a delicious soup and hot chocolate. Bundle up and prepare to get wet if you're at the front and it's a choppy day! (they'll provide jackets and rain coats, but bring your own layers).

Great crew, awesome ship…we didn’t get to see much of a whale but the kids had a blast! Next time we’ll take the zodiac because it moves faster!

Great experience for my family and myself. Saw 3 whales, seals, and porpoises. They had entertainment for the children as the kids didn't have the patience to ride out to the whales. Plus a sweet treat and hot chocolate.

Ok! Where do I start on this one? I am not sure about other operators for Whale Watching in St Andrews, but going by our experience with Jolly Breeze, I can say that they are the best. I will start with their website. When we are exploring for some nice whale watching tours, we came across Jolly Breeze and the amazing reviews left by the customers. After I sent through their description on the website, I didn't have any second thoughts about proceeding with them. If you are traveling with kids, I would STRONGLY STRONGLY recommend this operator as the kind of activities they have on the trip would keep the kids engaged in this 4 hour long whale adventure. There was not even a single instance where my kids were tired or bored. They start off with pirate costumes which gets the kids excited at the start of the trip. Once on board, they have face painting, touch and feel exhibits of various living sea creatures, coloring sheets, steering the tall ship, pirate treasure and what not! We were able to spot seals, porpoises and of course the minky whales. There were about 2 whales and we could spot them about 25-30 times clearly. We booked the evening slot and we're fortunate to witness the sunset on our way back which is just amazing. The customer service offered by this tour operator is just impeccable. We had a great time

This is one of those "wish I could rate it higher" places. Everything about this tour was great. Very kid friendly. The staff were pleasant, fun, and full of interesting information. The captain knew exactly where to go to find whales. The ship wasn't packed to the point you can't move. Bathroom was decent, refreshments available (bring cash), spacious room to sit.
There's no protection from the sun so dress accordingly and bring sunscreen.

The sailing aspect just added to the adventure. Good ambiance. Captain let's kids steer the ship.

Owners of this company should be very happy with their crew.

We booked this as a stop along our 12 hour drive.
We had an engine problem just as we pulled into the town. We had to get to St John's asap to find a mechanic before they closed for the long weekend.

We called jolly breeze to explain our situation to the receptionist, and see if we can reschedule. She immediately cut us off and said we committed to this booking, nothing she could do.

We thought they probably get annoying cancellations all the time, maybe if we go in person and explain, we can come up with a solution. So we walked there, and again the receptionist didn't let me finish speaking, and said nothing I can do.

After my negative review, we get a call from her, very friendly unlike before, and she said if someone walks in and wants a booking for our timeslot, they can sell our spot and refund us.

VOILA a reasonable idea!
She could have said that to begin with.
There was no reason to be short with us.

I never expect her to roll out the red carpet, I get it, it's a last minute change, it's annoying, I don't want to take business from them either.
But she didn't even take a sec to listen, or attempt to work something out until after my review. At which point she completely changed her tone and was very sweet and even asked about the car.

Anyways, we resolved the issue and they sold the tickets to someone else just 20 minutes later. Everyone's happy!

Been here twice on the zodiac in the last few months with family. Always fun and informative. Comfortable ans friendly.

An amazing experience! The gf and I went on this tour and it was definitely worth it! We saw several whales and seals which was awesome and the crew was great! Would definitely go on this tour again!

The tall ship is Absolutely a wonderful experience. The staff are very professional and good at all that they do. A feature of the excursion is an onboard touch tank used to educate the youngsters about local sea creatures. Face painting for kids and a cup of hot chocolate with cookies made the trip perfect for young and old. We saw Minke whales, seals and so much more.
