Living history! The period characters really bring the history alive. Well worth a visit of 4 to 6 hours.

My family has been going to Kings Landing every year for years many times multiple times a year.

It's a lot of fun and great experience so it makes me frustrated to give such a poor rating.

We went Friday July 21 with 17 people, 10 of which were children 6 of them under 10.

We packed snacks but everyone had planned to eat at the kings head inn.

However we were turned away from ordering food for 3 hours because they had a tour coming "They couldn't mess up the kitchen setup that was set for the tour", "the tour bus was running very late. "

So we made sure the kids ate the snacks and cut our trip at Kings Landing early to head to a Restaurant in Fredericton

We raised our complaints and left with them saying that shouldn't have happened, and they would escalate the issue and have someone call us about it.we have heard nothing.

Nothing was posted on the website that indicates this will/could happen and you won't be told until it's far too late.

If you are visiting with kids make sure you have alternate plans for food/drinks than counting on service at kings landing.

If you interested in 1900 Canada and history buff, then you must visit this. It will give y ok u a new perspective of life. Without electricity, internet and even without motor vehicle. This place is definition of minimalistic living. Such a nice, welcoming people. Just loved the place. A must go.

Hello from British Columbia! Ignore any negative reviews! This place is a gem and very inexpensive for what they offer. Beautiful structures, amazing actors, I tried hard to get one actor to break character and he was straight on point and wouldn't break! Absolutely amazing you guys, I wish we lived closer to bring friends and family!

Nice place to visit and get a glimpse of life how it was back in the day. Have a lemonade, grab a bite and visit the general store.
Utmost respect to the staff who stayed in character and costumes although it was 35°C outside!

If you would like to live a day from the old centuries, and get to know the daily life of people who enjoyed this life, then Visit Kings Landing.

It has been established and maintained to reflect the culture of old centuries and its lifestyle.

Staff are awesome, very welcoming, helpful, always smiling and guide everyone.

Enjoy the horse wagons ride. They have an old fashioned restaurant and bar, authentic printing shop.

I loved one of their house where they display the dried herbs inside one room and called it medicine room, as they use these herbs as medications whenever they are sick.

It’s such a wonderful place deserve a visit.

The famous living museum in New Brunswick. I was there for the Thanksgiving long weekend. The leafs are changing colour.

It was beautiful. It was a bit windy. So, you will need to dress accordingly.

The Kings Head is open but for advanced reservations only.

If you come early in the morning, parking will never be a problem. But if you arrive at noon. You would have to walk a bit to the entrance.

Overall a good place to learn and see things for adults and kids.

Great family friendly outing. You could spend the day here, maybe even swim in the river. The people playing the characters are very well informed and are happy to answer questions. Very relaxed. Endless horse and cart rides to be had.

Came to visit at 10am and didn't leave till 5pm. Everyone in kings landing is passionate about their role and history. Had so much fun interacting with the people. Make sure you ask lots of questions, and enjoy the experience

Visiting from Ontario. Have not been here for 17 years. Historical re-enactment site. People who work here are in character and it is authentic. Buildings, costumes, and decor = learning experience. Admission was covered by our National Trust for Canada membership so that was a bonus. Need a few hours to really take in the entire experience.

A very well done heritage village! The staff are all speaking & working in their period time & don’t come r out of character too easily! Missed only a few details due to staff on lunch. Particularity liked the main horse handler & the sawmill guys - full of humour & stories!

WoW notre
Coups de cœur à date. Un musée vivant avec de vrais personnages. C’est comme si on y était. Prévoyez un bon 4 heures.
23 July 2022 14:55
Beautiful place and the staff reenactment of the time period was amazing. Unfortunately we got there late which only left 2 hours to visit so if you you need yo give yourself at 4+ hours to really enjoy the whole experience.

Always a good time to be had. Easily could spend an afternoon here. I have been many times but this is the first since COVID restrictions have relaxed. Some buildings were closed and I contribute this to the COVID protocols. 100% recommend for people of all ages.

What an amazing place and experience. It really feels like stepping back in time. The actors are all super friendly and excited to tell you about how settlers lived in the 19th century. I highly recommend a visit especially if you like history or with kids!

Well informative & entertaining! Wonder why it's not in recommendation! We were on the eastern coast road trip and were lucky to found this spot by luck on our way to St Andrews
Worth a visit

Lots to see. Takes you back in time. Great service. Lots of parking and a great way to get your steps on while enjoying the view.

What a fantastic place to learn and enjoy some beautiful scenery. It was so cool to see so many of the staff/actors genuinely making things and doing the work of the period; they were all friendly and knowledgeable from the women spinning flax thread to the genuine blacksmith. Riding in the horse drawn wagon was definitely a highlight for the young kids.

This place is amazing! It's like stepping back in time! A great way of learning about living in 19th century New Brunswick. A must visit when in Atlantic Canada!
23 September 2021 17:23
ALL of the staff were excellent and informative. The gentleman in the saw mill was very knowledgeable, friendly and personable (and funny).
23 September 2021 16:33

Nice loved our visit, my advice if actors approach you play along it's fun. Be for or better against there cause and discover a hidden world ;)
20 September 2021 6:17
Great facility. It makes you appreciate how life was almost 100 years ago or so, and how people lived, worked, and made things happen. Great staff who were always 'in character' and extremely knowledgeable of their craft, and of the times that they are reliving for us. There is also an old style pub/restaurant on site, too. ;)
19 September 2021 16:06
Really fun experience. Friendly staff and great learning opportunities. We had got free admission the day we went because work was being done so it wasn't "the full experience" will go back
14 September 2021 22:41
Best place to feel and experience the past. Super friendly people, great attire, artifacts. Don't miss the Horse wagon ride.
08 September 2021 20:22
I had visited a handful of times as a child (and always loved it) but today was the best visit so far! Bringing my own children to see King's Landing added a whole new level of enjoyment. Staff/actors were so wonderful and engaging, the buildings were so beautifully preserved and presented and the joy of watching my kids run from place to place to was priceless! Can't wait to bring them back!

This is a very very nice place for a quick 1-2 hours cultural visit to see what life was like back in the days. King's landing has definitely wowed me more than once during my visit. The waterwheel and the Black Smith are the must see if you plan on visiting there. Enjoy and have fun!
04 September 2021 8:35
Stayed there for a whole afternoon and had a wonderful experience! Learned a lot about how people used to live, work and have fun. Quite interesting.
29 August 2021 15:14
Consistently an amazing experience. Everyone rightly talks about the history and educational value of a visit, but it is also agonizingly beautiful.
27 August 2021 17:06
Beat historic village I have been to, with the clothed village population, going around doing daily tasks like ploughing the field and cooking food.
26 August 2021 0:36
My S. O. & I went there when it opened and spent a good 4 hours and didn't get to view everything or hear every history story to be told.

We had amazing visit, it was our first time coming to this place and we both loved the adventure, story telling and the history behind Kings Landing.
They have plenty of history to be told and make sure if you go that you go has early has possible to give you enough time to visit the whole place.
19 August 2021 15:54
Really cool window into the 1800's. So many interesting old technologies to see, including the impressive functioning sawmill. All the people there are keen on telling the story behind the buildings, explaining how things worked, and answering any questions.
26 July 2021 14:10
I adore this place just as much now as when I was a kid! The reinactors treat you as if you're part of the village yourself, come by for a visit. It feels like you've traveled back in time, yet you feel right at home. There is so much to see and discover, it truly is a magical place! I also appreciated that they acknowledge their presence on the traditional territory of the Wolastokey and respectfully have their artifacts on display in the visitor center.
22 July 2021 4:12
The attractions were excellent as well as all the actors/workers, but the pub/food service was terrible waited for over 25 mins after being sat at a table and never had anyone take our order. We even asked several times to have a waitress come over and no one ever did, so we stood up and walked out.

It was awesome to walk through the houses and listen to the history of where they came from and what they did to stay alive
19 February 2021 6:33
It has become a family tradition to enjoy dinner here during the Christmas season. We were thankful to be able to do this once again in 2020!
