Laagland's Auto Service Inc

As a woman, I am always worried about dishonest mechanics. I never have that worry at Laagland's. They are knowledgeable, polite, and very honest. Everything is explained thoroughly without being condescending. The prices are beyond fair, and every service I have had done to my car has been done extremely well. I wish I had known about them sooner!

I needed some work done to my air conditioning. They were not able to complete it due to a needed part they had to order (block kit). Understandably that may have been an issue that was still pandemic supply chain related. I've been waiting 9 months, calling every few weeks. I called another auto A/C service shop, who indicated that my part has always been available, got it over night, and fixed the next day. They explained it is important to fix ASAP due to A/C compressor running when window defog is on, and the longer it waits, the more excessive wear and tear on the compressor ($2K part). Something tells me Laagland's did not want the business.

Best shop in town. John (owner) is friendly and honest with the work you need done. Mechanics all know their stuff and are great at communicating details, etc.
I’ll be trusting my car with John as long as he has that open sign on. I’d advise you do the same

There is no room to stand car while visit to this place. It's more like junk yard of cars. The guys seems unreliable to me.

Always a great experience to deal with them. I feel like this is one of the few places that don't try to tell you something is wrong with the car just to make a quick buck.

Great service, fantastic prices. Called to have them look at a used vehicle before I finalized the purchase. They scheduled me in the day off, were thorough and informative about potential issues, and even reduced the inspection cost since labour didn't take as long as anticipated. 10/10 service would highly recommend!

Probably one of the best small shops in the city and they do excellent work. No overselling either. If something is legitimately broken, they'll tell you. -if it isnt, then your bill is pretty small! Parts costs often your choice as well as they'll provide you with a range of quotes from different suppliers. Been going here for a couple of years now and will continue to do so!

Had a tie rod go 50m from the shop. They managed to fit me in despite having a full day of work. Offered a lot of advice on follow up calls. Very satisfied.

I returned with my SUV overheating and I didn't receive a call that same day so I called back a day or two later.

Was told that they checked the thermostat, oil level, then that they added dye to the coolant to find it was leaking into the oil.

Going to cost possibly hundreds of dollars.

I am very poor at the moment so the vehicle sat unused for three months while I paid hundreds of dollars for taxis to/from work.

My father in-law took the vehicle and was going to have them replace the entire engine but, had a friend check it over and sure enough thermostat replaced fixed it.

Long story short, I am not sure the owner knows his mechanics are feeding him bs or if the owner is himself.

I use to recommend them to EVERYONE, this one issue has lost my business and I will never recommend them again.

Two good experiences here so far. Fair pricing, better than anywheres else I have been around town. Quick service too.

If you wanna spend $120 for an oil change that takes over an hour this is the place to go. Also place is a dump and ive heard from others they rip you off but had to see it for myself to believe it. Definitely one of those loser car shops you hear about.
