L'Ancrage Bed & Breakfast and Cottages

My mom, Nan, aunt and myself stayed at the L’Ancrage in one of the barn houses end of August early September 2023 and had an incredible experience! The barn house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and cottage-y, very clean and stocked with all of the necessary items you would need! The owners and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate their guests to ensure everyone’s comfort and enjoyment of their time spent there. The property was so peaceful and beautiful as well, truly a perfect spot to relax with friends and loved ones. There are patios and porches overlooking the beautiful scenery to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a drink after a day of adventure. I cannot rave enough about the owners and staff for their impeccable hospitality, we arrived as strangers and left as friends. There is no doubt about how much love and care Kores, Liane and all their staff pour into everything they do. We would recommend staying at the L’Ancrage to anyone who visits this beautiful part of New Brunswick.

Wonderful place with very friendly owners. The barn house was practical, clean and comfortable.
A delicious dinner will also be served.
The boat tour with phoca tours was also super easy with lots of information about the area.

Stayed at this fabulous b&b for a night. Rooms are so comfy and we’ll equipped, hosts are amazing and breakfast is absolutely gourmet!

A home away from home. The hosts are very friendly and make you feel as family.
The rooms are spotless and well-equipped. The food is healthy and delicious with an European flair. The view is magnificent. We stayed there twice, this Summer, and we are looking forward to going again soon.

We’ve been blessed over the years to stay at many excellent hotels colleges etc.this was our first B&B experience it was beyond expectation
The location was amazing the host were beyond amazing the room with spotlessly clean the location was breathtaking and if it couldn’t get any better…… The complementary breakfast was one of the best Breakfast’s my wife and I have ever had…… If I could find a restaurant that served a breakfast like this I would have my own parking space can’t wait to go back

We stayed only for one night but had the best experience. Amazing hosts, cozy beds and delicious breakfast. They were very accommodating and it was a beautiful spot.

Staying here for the first time felt like visiting old friends. Our hosts made us feel at home in a way I've never experienced anywhere else! During our three-night honeymoon stay, our hosts set us up with bikes to tour the beautiful national park nearby, binoculars for birdwatching, and kayaks (and life vests) for a paddle up the river. On top of that, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the breakfasts are delicious. Outside of the main tourist season (we were there in mid-October) there's a limited amount to do in the area, but it's well worth a visit to see the gorgeous fall colours and to have the sandy beaches to yourself.

This was my first B & B experience and it did not disappoint. To begin you are greeted by the friendly hosts that give you a brief tour including the beautiful views of the river. There was a welcome sign outside our door with our names on it. Our room had everything we could possibly need. Very cozy & clean. The breakfast… I can’t even. Such a classy display of fruits, cheese, vegetables, OJ, a smoothie and then bacon & eggs. Just fabulous. We fell asleep with the air conditioner on (sorry about that). If anyone complains about the noise, it was us.
We can’t wait to return and visit their new restaurant when it opens!

Absolutely the best B&B I've been to so far. You can tell the owners are treating it as something they love to do, the place feels almost home and we didn't want to leave the next day. The surrounding is absolutely stunning, although beware of army of relentless mosquitos at 7 or so. Breakfast is amazing, way above anything else I've seen at other B&B. We'll definitely be back for a week long stay next time.

Wifi is also lightning fast, I measured 338/158 Mbps.

L’accueil des propriétaires, la propreté, la qualité des équipements et la beauté du site. Tout est minutieusement fait, Liane nous a conseillé les activités, les restaurants etc.elle s’est montrée très disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Que dire du déjeuner, tout simplement sublime!
Je suggère de faire la petite croisière de deux heures qui nous a été proposée par Liane, nous avons pu y voir des loups marins (phoques gris) divers oiseaux et très bien commentée c’était magnifique. Merci et félicitations pour votre excellent travail. Nous reviendrons certainement.

We love it at first sight. Its backyard is a beautiful lakeview where you can see the sunrise in the morning. It is close to the Kouchibouguac National Park. You can actually see it from the B&B. If you walk across the bridge close to the place, the sunset view, the reflection on the lake, is a beautiful painting by mother nature.

The owners who are from the Netherlands are so lovely. They have quite a story on how they ended up in New Brunswick, Canada. I will let you find out yourselves when you visit the place.

At the time of writing this review, they have started to build a fine dining restaurant as an extension to the site. We wish them the best as they continue to work on this expansion.

Perfect location and the hospitality was amazing. Would recommend this sweet B&B to anyone travelling the coastline of New Brunswick.

We haven't even stayed here yet and I'm already giving 5 stars. The weather was poor heading into the weekend of our stay, and Liane and Kores were both incredibly kind, understanding and relaxed about our needing to cancel 1 night. Already incredibly impressed and grateful for them.

What a great stay. Korea and Liane are great hosts. We stayed in one of the two barn apartments. Very very nice. Two upstairs bedrooms. The entire place is very well equipped.
