MacMillan's Your Independent Grocer Hampton

Prices are pretty high compared to Atlantic Superstore/Sobeys, but not having to drive 15 mins to another grocery store is also nice.

They don't always carry the items they advertise in their flyers. Yesterday I went in looking for unsalted butter on sale and it took 15 mins + three conversations with employees to learn that this location doesn't carry unsalted butter (so then why have it in the flyer?)

When I have the choice I don't shop here, but sometimes it's easier/more convenient than driving to Quispam

I really value a business that gives back to their community in valuable ways. I had a large amount of food leftover from a charity event and it was unexpected. I decided to donate it to the school lunch program the next morning and had to think fast. I had nowhere to store all the food overnight. I called, asked for the new owner. His name is Bruce. I asked if he would donate some space in his coolers to store the food until morning for the children. He said he just got his deliveries for the week and that space was tight, but he would do whatever he could to help. He said, "Just come down, and we will figure it out. " And that's exactly what he did. Last minute with no notice with his coolers stuffed, he still gave to the cause without question. I can't say enough about what it means to have business owners support the community and give back. I just moved here a little over two years ago. A sence of community is important for the new and the old. Bruce is the real deal and he will always have my family's business. Thank you for being an awesome community leader!

The new owners have made some changes that has turned this into a great place to shop! Lots of ready to serve options and fresh produce.

What a great small grocery store improving every day under new ownership. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This store has levelled up considerably under the new management. Better layout of the store with a decent variety of store goods. Service is friendly and efficient.

Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The store looks good with all the upgrades they have been doing lately.the only thing is they took the carts and put them outside.not sure if I like that or not. The last thing is that if you are looking at the hours they don't close at 6pm. Monday to Friday, they close at 8pm

This is a very clean store. When l asked two separate people working there where something was they both set down what they were doing and showed me where it was. Good old fashioned service with a smile.

Since Bruce has arrived, this store has become incredible! The staff has always been awesome, but with a new leader, it's truly amazing! It's so exciting, at least to me, to be able to purchase products that I would have had to travel to KV to purchase. The produce is always fresh, and if there's something that you'd like to see on the shelves, Bruce is more than willing to accommodate! Congratulations to Bruce, and to the incredible staff! Finally a great place to shop for groceries in Hampton! Thanks to all of you!
