Avoid this place.

We were initially quoted $400 but ended up being charged $776. The movers arrived an hour late, and during the journey to the second destination, I witnessed them stopping and waiting in a parking lot for 30 minutes. When I questioned this, the dispatcher couldn't explain the delay or the additional hour charge. Instead, he attributed the lateness to a different route taken to our second destination. I even had video evidence of them pulling into a parking lot and waiting.

We were charged $776 to move a couch, dresser, bed, small deep freeze, and an air conditioner just 15 kilometers away.

No investigation was done into this nor was there any reimbursement given. We were faced with hostility when calling to company to ask about these discrepancies.

My advice is to spend your money elsewhere.

Our experience from start to finish was excellent. The team at McMinniman's were professional and very well organized.

For instance: 1) our office move estimate was delivered promptly via email, which provided all the important details in relation to the move, 2) days before the move we received a phone call to see if we had any questions or concerns and to make sure the prearranged time for the move was still suitable, 3) on the day of the move we received another phone call to make sure everything was still on schedule from our end, and the movers arrived on time, as scheduled.

The movers were courteous and friendly and worked well as a team to get the job done quickly. Nothing was damaged and we would definitely work with this company again! Thanks to the team at McMinniman's Moving and Storage, our move was done with ease!

I heard about this moving company from my friend. My friend moved from Fredericton, NB to Alberta, with lots of stuff, beds, tables, bookshelves, etc, etc. The company went to their Fredericton home, and estimated how much should be the cost first (so they could prepare). After estimation, the company sent people to dismantle the furniture, ship it, and later, put it together in Alberta.
My case was moving from Fredericton to Vancouver. I had 48 boxes of books and clothes. All 48 boxes fast arrived in Vancouver with good shape. I am happy with their service.

They helped us move goods internationally and did a great job. Very professional, friendly, and responsive staff. They walked us through the steps, took care of everything, and everything arrived in a reasonable time.

From the first point of contact I felt like I had made a good choice in moving company. McMinniman's is responsive, friendly, professional and reliable. I have always moved myself with a U-Haul because I felt the price for movers was not worth it but let me tell you, it is SO worth it. I will never move myself again. I actually came in at less than the quote which was a nice surprise. 10/10 will be using them again if we ever move to another house.

Unfortunately I did not get to use their services, due to the fact that they were fully booked! There were only 2 days out of the month that were available, but those two days did not work for me.

The service over the phone was great! He was polite, checked out all available dates, apologized for not being able to meet my needs.

Since they are that busy, it tells me that many people are using their services.

The only thing I could suggest, is maybe expanding to something bigger! (Bigger warehouse/building, more trucks, more staff.)

I had McMinniman’s moving company move a piano from my dad’s house to my house. When I inquired about cost and availability, they were quick to respond. Setting up an appointment time was easy and fast. The movers took great care with the piano, they were on time, and just overall nice, pleasant people to work with. Very happy with the service! Truck arrived December 21st and we are still waiting for them to come back and finish the job (today is Jan. 3rd) as we were informed by the lead driver who picked up the empty trailer, that the dispatcher would be notified and that a crew of appropriate guys would be sent to complete the job. It was noted on our billing and load sheet that we had a very heavy cabinet which was located near the rear of the truck. Unfortunately the dispatcher must have missed that notation (and billing) and sent a crew of three (who worked their tails off on our move) who were not capable of lifting the cabinet into place (a two piece wall cabinet) which is now sitting in the middle of a room holding us up. This negative review is due to this and would have been considerably higher had the work been completed. UPDATED January 6th: Crew returned and lifted the top of the cabinet into place. Rating has been updated.

When a different moving company kept dragging their feet about handling our request, McMinniman's stepped-up and took care of business! They were quick to respond and gave enough information about the details, while also being flexible and able to adapt to the various issues that came up during the whole process. We were never left hanging or jerked around, and always felt like things were being handled well, with competence and professionalism.
We had a huge move, from New Brunswick to Montana, and McMinniman's worked as an affiliate of United Van Lines to get our stuff to us, even though we were already in Montana. Everything arrived in good timing, and the extra unloading details were handled by the driver, which made it even easier!
McMinniman's is a great business and we recommend their service, hands down!

Great crew, fun to work with. They were punctual, well equipped, and reasonably priced. Would recommend them for your move.

The movers did a great job, the furniture was in storage almost 2 months, before I got my apartment and they moved me in with out a hitch. Moving out of a slab house into a third floor walk up, with heavy furniture the men did a great job.

Our driver Jamie and the other movers did a great job loading and unloading, and nothing was damaged or lost. They had a positive attitude, and when our house closing was delayed a day (into our scheduled delivery day), they waited without complaint while we got the keys. Our cost was a little less than quoted as well, which was a nice bonus. I would recommend McMinniman's.

From the beggining of the quote to the final delivery of furniture from Fredericton NB to Nova Scotia, Perry was our driver who made loading a truck an art form, We can not say enough how great and fantastic they were and how smoothly everything went. I would totally recomend this company for moving. The price on the quote was what we paid, Thank you, you made a stressfull situation manageable. But if you take the insurance, you are not covered if you have packed the items yourself, FYI, we learnt the hard way when we tried to claim. Graeme J and Ed P

Provided us a cargo storage unit and delivered it onsite in our remote area and picked it up after the ice melted. They didn't charge us extra and they were top notch for us.

Would have rated them 0 stars if I could. The movers did not send enough trucks and were unable to move all of our things. THANKFULLY our old neighbour allowed us to store some things there which we had to go and retrieve on our dollar as McMinima's said "too bad". I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company in my life. I was also horrified when I called there one day. The person who answers the phone was extremely rude and swore at me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Amazing group of people, hard working and safe, vary nice to deal with. I give this company 5 stars all day long.

Don’t recommend. Paid for 3 movers - 1 of them got annoyed with his co-worked and walked off job before finished. Charged me almost twice what they quoted and have not answered my communication asking for explanation.
