Wonderful garage with excellent service and people extremely friendly and helpful! They certainly take pride in what they do here and want every customer to leave happy with a safe vehicle

The Midas in Fredericton is the only place I take my car when anything is needed: tires, oil, brakes, alignment, exhaust, you name it, they do it. And do it well. They're fast, knowledgeable, friendly and they take care of my vehicle like its their own. And at the best price in town (I've shopped around!). Their waiting area is super clean, Matt is super awesome and easy to deal with (I never feel like I'm being gauged - he's super honest), and I love their furry, gold reception mascot, 'Bee'. A great experience EVERY TIME!

*Edit: Company say because I filed a police report they will not help me. * Car was broken into. Very suspicious of the employees they have here. Had car in to be looked at, they left it unlocked after looking at it and someone took my stuff. So upsetting, I can’t trust leaving a car there again. Currently unsatisfied with the outcome. Would change this if it was properly addressed. No accountability!

Will charge you 750$ for breaks. They screwed me hard when I was a kid! Avoid this place at all costs.

Got the job done and there was a cute dog to pet and keep me company while I waited. Not extraordinary, not terrible. Just doesn’t quit have the pop of 5 star (could just be because I hate going to the mechanic and I’m biased).

Don't use this mechanic unless you want to pay over a thousand dollars for them to put parts on that aren't needed. They quoted me $1600 for multiple parts they claimed were siezed, including my alternator that they quoted $700 for even though it costs $200 or less elsewhere. A second opinion confirmed all that was seized was a $40 bearing and the belt that snapped.

Edit: Although the owner has replied to my review, they were rude when I called back to tell them about my second opinion and went back on their words saying they never told me my alternator was seized. Don't use this mechanic.

Overpriced for no reason. Found the exact same part with the exact part number they quoted me at $150, for $30 on parts avatar. Wanted $200 to fit the strut mount (2 hours worth of labour), took it to a friend of mine who replaced it in 20 minutes no joke, charged me $40. Not to mention their alignment is $110 while you can get it done at other places for $80.

Took a car here for a broken belt and they appraised me 1600 to fix it lol! Went to another garage and it costed 200$. This place is a joke. Go elsewhere!

I went in to replace a damaged coil in cylinder #1 but they replaced the coil in cylinder #4 instead. This “mistake” costed me hundreds in dollars trying to find the cause of my misfire. I went to another mechanic that told me that Midas had replaced the wrong coil, and when I called Midas for a refund or store credit they denied my request. I would not recommend this place as their mechanics are incompetent, inconsistent and are unable to diagnose, and fix a simple misfire. In my opinion it seems like the place is a scam, and will bleed you dry in the name of “good customer service”.

Was told we need a ball joint replaced to pass inspection by Mites. We went to get a second opinion and turns out our ball joints were fine. Place is a scam, go somewhere else.

I am so impressed with the service, they are life savers. I had an urgent repair in the wheel bearing and brakes and they didn't hesitate a minute to book me in asap. Got my car repaired in no time, highly recommend this auto repair workshop.

Very friendly. Got my tires patched for a reasonable price. Will be going back if I need my tires patched again and I suggest doing the same!

I needed someone to do the front brakes on my car in a hurry. The dealer and other garages I called were not able to get me in. Midas could get me in next day and the price was competitive. As a bonus the brake pads have a lifetime warranty.

My partner and I have taken our vehicles to this location several times. They are extremely helpful, well priced, and have always done quality work on our vehicles. On my most recent visit they were short staffed and still completed our repair in a timely manner. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for service in the Fredericton area. An added bonus is that they have an absolutely adorable dog that hangs out in the waiting area.

I was a Bit skeptical about these brand name shops, got a hole in my muffler leak on a trans Atlantic route and stopped in for a Quote. They were fully booked but the were able to Squeeze me in for a new muffler.

Excellent service, dealership informed me my air filter needed replacement and said at the most I could go till my next oilchange, when I booked an oilchange here I requested they change the filter. The staff showed me my air filter and it was basically new, they recommended I wait. This saved me money and showed that this location values and has integrity. I will absolutely return and would recommend to anyone!

Unbelievable customer service. I called there this morning with a major issue with my Elantra. They told me they`d squeeze me in. I arrived within 10 mins of our phone conversation, they took me right in. Gave me a quote right away, VERY reasonably priced. Repairs were done and i was buying a coffee 45 mins later. THANKS GUYS!

Great spot for a quick fix. I have used them on multiple occassions and find them to be very honest.

Not a great experience at the Fredericton Midas location. Initial appointment made for 10 a.m. On a Friday for a 4 wheel alignment. Car not taken in until 10: 45 a.m. After 10 minutes on hoist, I am informed that left rear upper control arm needs to be replaced. New appointment made for 10 a.m. Following Monday. Called by Midas early Monday morning to change the appointment to 3: 00 p.m. I watched the entire time the car was being worked on and with a very slow moving mechanic, the control arm was on, and the wheel put back on in 33 minutes. Midas was going to charge me for. 75 hrs, however, after being informed of my noted time, it was changed to. 5 hrs. The car then goes into another bay for the alignment. When done, I am informed that the battery had died due to the brake lights having to remain on. All the electrical setting had to be re-set with no assistance from Midas. First time I have ever experienced this happen, and I have had a lot of alignments done. When I asked for the alignment diagnosis report, I was told the printer did not work. I was told the same thing 2 yrs.prior to this when I had an alignment done on another car. My other car will be booked for an alignment within the next couple of weeks. It won't be at Midas.

I went to Midas for an MVIas my regular shop is far away and couldn't get me in in time - they said I needed new rear bushings and tried to get me to pay them money to remove legal window tint. I had also asked them to check my fluids, they said my power steering was a bit low but nothing to worry about.

I took my car to my regular shop for the repairs and they said that I did not need bushings, my car passed MVI with flying colours.

What my regular shop did tell me though was that whoever did my last oil change did not replace my filter properly and that my car was leaking oil - they replaced 2L of it. Midas had done my last oil change - they could have wrecked my engine and then didn't bother to double check even when I brough the leak to their attention.

They are always so friendly and make every experience as positive as possible. Great knowledgable staff. Ever since the car dealership cost me hundreds of dollars only to end up still left with the issue. I was at a loss and thought what the hell and took my vehicle to them. They were able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes. I was overjoyed that they found it and they were able to get me in for repair that same week. Also when they say you're appointment is at a certain time you can be sure it will be within 15 minutes of said time, every time.the people here give you that tight community feel and go above and beyond even the midas standard.

Great service, honest on what is required, fair prices and appointments are efficient - car gets worked on right at your appointment time unlike the dealership where my car was there 5 hours in queue for an oil change.have had minor and major work done here and it has all been great.also, there is a cute golden retriever in the back! Highly recommend this place.

Don't ever take your car here for an inspection! You will get vastly inflated prices on any needed 'repairs' and they will pressure you into having it done immediately rather than take it elsewhere and save hundreds of dollars. Creepy experience!

Do not go for car inspections, their prices are incredibly high for any work on your vehicle! Save your time and money!

Very happy with the service I received. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. They didn't try to sell me on any BS that i didn't need. I am consistantly happy with the service I have received at Midas locations across Canada, this location is no different. Also as a bonus there is a 10% military discount which is nice.

Horrible customer service, went in for an initial complaint of a noise in the back, they didn’t even look at it went straight to my engine/ wheel bearings and fixed one wheel bearing for 300$.
Told the girl on the phone to fix what needed to be done and that’s all they did. Drove it off the lot on Friday evening and the noise was still there, let it be until today (did not drive it) brought it in around 8: 30 for my tire appointment, was never told a time for my appointment and then was told it was at 8am and the girl tried to argue with me and tell me she told me 8am, I’ve never been given a time I just always have dropped it off between 8-9 and leave it there all day. And complained about the initial noise complaint never being fixed.
They then tried to blame someone in my family who never spoke to them on Thursday or Friday about it and said they told them not to complete anymore service on my car which was not true the only person they spoke to was me. I was never told what the noise was or how it could be fixed.
I left and was talking to my dad and he then decided to go in and get my keys because this was outrageous.
He went inside and the lady in there was so rude and told him to “ watch it” after he told them this was all outrageous.
This type of customer service is so unacceptable I will NEVER take my car back and I highly suggest not to bring any cars there.

Got our company out of an awful situation in record time and came in thousands of dollars cheaper than our previous quotes at competitors. The staff was so friendly and helpful, there was coffee, drinks and free candy available AND there was a sweet puppy that I got to say hello to while I waited in the waiting room. Awesome experience.

I have been to quite a few repair shops in the city over the past few years and I have never had such a great experience as I had with Midas. Matt the owner was friendly and approachable. He explained exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and then took me out and showed me what I needed to replace, I was very impressed with the service. They didn’t try to sell me parts I didn’t need and they were very timely! I am so glad I chose Midas, they exceeded my expectations!

Had a muffler emergency while traveling through New Brunswick. F'ton Midas welded things back together to get us to our destination and didn't even charge us. (only took 10 min.) Explained and gave options as well. Very helpful and kind for some frightened tourists!

TL;DR one of the guys who works here tried to swindle me more than once and their mechanics are clearly incompetent at their job so I highly recommend you take your car somewhere they can properly fix your car without “potentially” further breaking it. What a joke.

I brought my car into Midas this week to get my tire rods replaced. About an hour after dropping off my car they called me to say that there was “a potential that their mechanics would break my brand new wheel bearings in the process of fixing my rods and if they did break them in the process, it would cost me $150-$200 plus labour to fix”. Then they asked if that was okay and should they proceed? Ummm no. After leaving Midas I drove across the street to Canadian Tire where they successfully replaced my rods WITHOUT breaking my wheel bearings, and they did it for cheaper than what Midas was going to charge me, too. I highly recommend you bring your car elsewhere, somewhere they don’t further break your car when you’ve brought it there to get fixed. I understand things can happen, but to call me and literally tell me your mechanics are so bad at their job they can’t fix my car without potentially making it worse is really something else.

Honestly, as a business, if your mechanic messes up that badly he breaks brand new wheel bearings while fixing something else on the car - mechanic should pay for it.

I genuinely believe the guy working there was just trying to get extra money out of us. If we had said yes it’s fine fix my car, and then my wheel bearings “happened to accidentally break” well I agreed so i would be on the hook to pay for it. The same dude also tried to tell me that I would need to pay an extra $25 every single time I changed my tires to have them reset my TPMS light at the same time.when I asked Caden, the very nice young man who also works at Midas, he tried to let us know it wasn’t necessary to pay that each time, and there would be ways around it; the same dude who called me about my wheel bearings swooped in and made Caden stop talking to tell me nope I absolutely had to reset my light each time and they would be charging me $25 extra dollars each time, as well.when I asked around at other mechanics, every other shop agreed that resetting my light should be included in the changing the tires service.

Save yourself the trouble and go to a mechanic that knows what they’re doing!

Awful customer service. Had my vehicle inspected there and they found some faults with my vehicle and gave me the orange tag. I called around to get the required body work done and found out that I was unable to get the work done before my orange tag expired.
They told me I COULD (not must or should) get an extension on my orange sticker, but since I was going on vacation and whatnot decided to let my car sit until I was able to get / afford an appointment.

Today I got the car back from the body shop and took it back to Midas for the approval sticker (the body was the last failed thing needing repair) they told me that I would need to pay and have another full inspection done because it was "over two weeks" that I had gotten my inspection sticker. Instead of apologizing for failing to tell me that I NEEDED to get an extension and getting my car inspected they say that they can't help me cause they are closed.

Now I am left taking my car somewhere else to have another inspection done today so that I can use the car I just sank $2,200 into and my spouse and I can get to work.

Avoid this place at all costs.
