Great place for pretty views of ministers island and the salt marsh on the other side of Katies Cove. Also a nice location for swimming in Katies Cove away from the crowds, or at high tide an ocean dip in the incoming current into the Salt Marsh. Careful the current could be strong.

A great spot to hike to along the many trails in St Andrews. Curiously the trail ends after crossing the tidal break, while Google seems to indicate you can walk all the way to Ministers Island the trail ends, and there are no tresspassing signs. Perhaps if the tide is out you can continue along the shore but we were here at medium to high tide. Some decent views and photo ops, and the trail is mostly paved.
