Motel & Chalet L'Acadien

Booked a month ago, got a call today saying the price went up and no one was going to be there tomorrow when we arrive. I spoke to the owner and he hung up on me and told the receptionist that they won't let me stay now. Literally tried to charge an extra $40 and explained they weren't making money off us. I have stayed here multiple times in the past booking for a whole week several times in the off season for years. This put a terrible taste in my mouth and now have no where to stay tomorrow because of the greedy owner. Would highly recommend supporting other businesses in the area before this place.

I contacted this place to book for a family reunion. We wanted to book all 10 cottages for a weekend in August 2024. The staff member told me there was no problem to book and no minimum nights were required. I then contacted all family members and they started calling to book. Another lady (staff member) then said it might not work because they are losing money on long term stay when we book for a weekend. Drove there again the next business day to see what was going on. The staff member presented herself as the boss’ daughter and said they will not approve our weekend stay because they won’t be able to book long term for that week. Nothing says minimum nights are required anywhere. Not even on their price list. Very disappointed, all that work in organizing for nothing. They should’ve accepted the reservation as this was their mistake. Very poor customer service

Les façades extérieures laissent à désirer. Mais l'endroit vaut le détour. Notre chambre était douillet et accueillante. Et le prix plus que raisonnables. Sans parler de la vue.

Ce motel a besoin de beaucoup d'amour. Il y avait dans ma chambre une forte odeur d'humidité, on voyait le jour dans le bas de la porte d'entrée. J'ai dû demander par 2 fois pour venir déboucher le bain, qui ne se vidait pas (la personne qui fait le ménage, en lavant la douche, ne voit pas que le bain ne se vide pas?). Le robinet du bain dégoutait. Le matelas était tellement mou on aurait dit un lit d'eau.
