They are the best. The girls are exceptional. Always so willing to help and listen to my questions. Lisa is amazing. All the staff are very kind. Thank you from Maggie and myself

I had a scary experience at the vet today. Me and my girlfriend are young and this was our first time taking any pet to the vet. As our pets are like our children, we were very nervous to take her and have to leave her there for a few hours. Our cat went in to get spayed and microchipped. We dropped her off early this morning and were told she would be ready to be picked up around 12 or 1pm. While waiting we received a call saying that the vet accidentally cut our cats arm open and it had to be glued closed. Terrified, we went to pick her up and pay for our services. The vet tech was very knowledgeable, kind, and answered all of our questions. While paying, we asked for a detailed receipt (as the appointment was pricey) just so we knew exactly what we were paying for, and to make sure we weren’t paying anything extra for the cut arm or the cone that she now needs for the next few weeks. The receptionist was very cold, rude and judgmental. She made a few snarky comments and was not welcoming. Having a scary day already, her confrontational demeanour wasn’t helping the situation. We took our cat home as soon as possible and we’re glad the situation wasn’t worse. Also, the medication they gave us was expired in 2018.10/10 don’t recommend.

I went there 2 months ago, my cat had a large hole she had somehow gotten in the middle of her chest. I drove to the office, there was a young girl working, I didnt bring my cat, (I was on a motorbike), so i just asked should i bring her in? Or what should I do? She said it doesnt look serious enough to bring her in, and that i should go home and put Polysporin on her wound, and it will heal. I have been putting Polysporin on my cat for over 2 months, and a friend seen me doing it, and said u cant give cats polysporin, i said ya, the veterinarian told me to do it. So he got me to Google it, and it says under no circumstances to use polysporin on a cat. This is what Google says. (And i checked multiple sites to make sure the info was correct). It says.
"Used on cats, on the other hand, it can be deadly! Numerous kinds of polysporin and similar triple antibiotic ointments can cause anaphylactic reactions that can be fatal. There are numerous documented cases of these reactions leading to kidney failure and heart damage in cats". I gave this to my 19 year old cat for 2 months. Had she died as a result of this.we'll just say, it wouldnt have been good, for anyone. I will never trust this place again. If u want to take your family member there, feel free, but i wont ever do it again, even if it's the only place, id do without a vet. I should have checked right away, but i figured she knew what she was talking about.next time ill know better. Awful place.

I can say that this place cares. We had a sick pet, and they treated our animal and our family with great care.

When I first saw that the price of a basic visit was almost TWICE that of other clinics, I was taken aback. However, after our visit, I really appreciated how the extra money went towards really exquisite items, such as gold-plated paper towel, a full-time washroom attendant, a string quartet in the waiting area, a valet in the parking lot, diamond-encrusted needles, free massages while you wait, and a seafood buffet.

If ever you find yourself thinking "Man, my current vet is so cheap, I wish there was a way to spend more money for the exact same service", then look no further than Mountain Road Animal Hospital.

From the basic check-up fee for three cats that could have paid for an all-inclusive week in the Dominican Republic, to the quote for dental surgery that was more than twice what we ended up paying at another, much more budget-friendly and compassionate vet in town, this place is what you are looking for if that money is burning a hole in your pocket.

(The vet techs were fantastic and clearly cared about the animals. This isn't about them, it's about the ridiculous prices.)

Great experience from Receptionists to the Veterinary Technicians. Dr. Malone was excellent with straightforward information and honesty. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

Two times, they have figured out what's going on with my cat (serious things). They don't assume they do the tests, the research, ask questions, listen to the answers, and care about our fur baby.

Horrible service. Very confusing directions provided by staff. Extremely expensive, and not getting what was requested.

Great vet but the girl at the front desk is cold and very unfriendly, terrible customer service - not welcoming at all

Nice place but the front desk staff could be more talkative to the customers to make this place feel a little at ease
It felt like a cold environment
But the vet is very nice and welcoming

Our cat isn’t the friendliest Calico but we received very good and professional service for her throughout her angry antics of being picked and probed. Highly recommend this clinic

Unfortunately taking your pet to the vet has become unaffordable; after 1600$ in vet bills since September of 2022, all I can say is the next time my cat needs medical attention I'll probably end up surrendering him to a shelter

Updating my review to reflect how poor the service has become at this vet. They only care about money.

Took our 2 trusting dogs in for their shot updates. Poor little Jack and Shyla, shortly after being in this building, they realized what kind of place this was and both scrambled for the door.
I was able to calm them down and guide them, one by one, to have their weights taken while the attendant wrote the results in her book.
I sat in a chair while waiting to see the veterinarian. Once she came out we were instructed to come into this nice room. The couch inside was quite inviting.
We stood as the vet asked various questions about each dog. I then lifted them one at a time, onto the inspection table, so she could check their vitals.
Both Jack and Shyla seemed to warm-up to this wonderful vet.
Once this part of the procedure was complete she first took Jack into another room for his shot.
I sat on the coach with Shyla while we waited for Jack to return. I almost fell asleep within the comfort of this couch (would have if I'd put my feet up).
With a knock at the door another attendant came back with Jack and took sweet Shyla to this other room for her dreaded shot.
Once all were complete we went out to pay for their service. Since the dogs were starting to get overly anxious I'd asked if I could take them out to our car so I could pay up without their creating a commotion. Attendant, while on the phone, nodded that it was okay.
It was comforting knowing our dogs are so well cared for at a place which appears to have genuine concern for their patients (and their clients).

We recently brought our dog in because she had been having gi issues. Our girl tends to be nervous around new people. She was seen by Dr. Fralic who was incredibly patient, calm, kind, and understanding when handling our girl. Dr. Fralic took the time to listen to and consider all of our concerns. Overall, Dr. Fralic made the whole experience much less stressful for both my dog and myself. All if our experiences with the rest of the staff were also fantastic. I spoke to Sam on the phone several times and she was always friendly, patient, and helpful. Our dogs have been patients of Mountain Road Animal Hospital for years and I'm sure we will continue to bring them here for years to come.
