The bartender Melvin made a lovely drink that was so tasty and original. Melvin is a very friendly and interesting person, in addition to making delicious original cocktails and mocktails. Bravo Melvin!

Love this place. Crab cakes are profound & the Chow-chow green tomato relish reminds my wife of a condiment from Central America so.yeah, shockingly good stuff with a hint of the exotic. Eastcoast Proud! Great job guys

We had a good lunch there! A nice atmosphere and friendly service. A good local place with nice friendly people.

Met up with some old friends; food and service was good, and the Miramichi-brewed IPA was outstanding.

We made a reservation here for a small gathering after our sons wedding. The atmosphere here is wonderful. Probably one of the older and more unique buildings in Miramichi. The service was very good, fast and courteous. The food was fantastic, this was not our first here and always has been good. Beer on tap was from 13 Barrels and was good. Worth the stop for sure.

I went to O'Donaghue's for a girls night and not only was the food delicious, but the customer service was excellent as well. I really enjoy the atmosphere and will definitely be back soon!

The only Irish thing about this place is the name and a shamrock that is faded in the bar. No Irish fare on the menu and only Guinness on tap. Food (non Irish) is typical of the area and the wait staff is friendly. The old guy behind the bar could use some people skills, lol

I arrived 90 minutes before closing time on a Tuesday. Waited at the "Please wit to be seated" sign on the patio outside for 5 minutes or so, but saw no one, so I ventured into the bar. Server said to take any table on the patio and she'd be right with me. 35 minutes passed during which time the server cleared two tables and took orders from the folks at the table next to mine who arrived about 20 minutes after me. Not sure what happened. Maybe because I was by myself? I was sober, polite, and freshly showered. So what happened? I left hungry but had a very nice meal plus two local beers at an Indian restaurant a couple of blocks away.

Our favourite night in the Maritimes! Great music, friendliest people, awesome food and service! Can’t wait to return ️️️

Ribs were the worst. 3 orders were returned uneaten the manager gave the people who ordered them 50% off. So i guess he thought they were only half bad. Ridiculous. Never again.

I had "the matilda" which is the grilled haddock fillet. Perfect seasoning and very fresh. Good alternative to fish and chips although it looked amazingly delicious. Next time.

Had lunch on several times, its perfect, only been to the bar yeats ago. Im sure from what I hear ots still rockin. Its a must try when in town.

We went on a Saturday drive from Moncton about a month ago.
It was very busy as there was a bday party upstairs but the service was very good. Their long Island ice tea were great and we shared nachos and chicken wings that were delicious!
We will be back!

I LOVED this place, best Irish Pub I have ever been to! Great service, great presentation but most of all great food! This place is a must visit, wish I lived closer!

Wife and I just wanted a light late lunch. Ordered a poutine and savoury lamb turnovers. The food was excellent. The pub is so rich in character, atmosphere, but liveliness was lacking. Maybe it was the time of day, or Covid protocols. I can see O'Donaghue's being a rippin' little pub when Covid is in the rearview mirror.

My wife and I stopped in here while staying in the area. Did not disappoint. Classic Irish pub atmosphere. Food and service were wonderful. Prices were reasonable. Loved it. When a pub is done right, you can't beat it.

We had the Smoked BBQ Chicken Flatbread and Haddock and Scallop platter. Food was good and came out fast (shout out to the kitchen staff). Service was terrible, server acted like she really didn't want to be there. Never were brought water when we first sat down, and never asked if we needed anything before walking away.

Made reservations but were rudely refused a more fitting comfortable seat- with no reason- as they wanted sit 2 larger adults in the tiny corner table with zero view for live music and at tall chairs. We kindly asked if we could sit at the empty lower corner table for 4 which had no reserved sign but the older man.assuming owner or manager just looked at us and shook his head no.when we looked around for alternatives and didnt sit we were ignored so ended up walking out. As we were leaving they sat 2 young girls at a table for 6 alone. Sad -as going there especially for live music has always been a highlight to our wkends visiting Miramichi. Disturbing as we have never been treated so rudely at any restaurant.we WERE returning customers.and were planning on dinner and drinks for the evening! Not to mention losing a large bill in revenue your server also lost a very good tip.not just today but for many future trips! Disappointed and disturbed at the terrible service.

Was excited to try this place because of the reviews, but I was pretty disappointed. My main was good, but the side was sub par and the service was pretty terrible. Our server never looked up from the ipad screen and seemed generally annoyed to be serving us; and a lot of the staff spent most of their time chatting with each other behind the bar. It seemed to me like they didn’t want us there, and there was an unspoken invitation to leave. I’m not sure if it was because we weren’t locals, or maybe cause we were two guys on a date? Either way, wouldn’t go back.

Ordered the fish cakes as it was a special for lunch. It was more a potato cake than anything so my lunch was all potatoes

Also pricey for what you get. This will be a pass for us next time

Love it, great ambiance. Their fries are some of the best I have had. The Don burger is also great.

I love the atmosphere at this pub/restaurant. It has such an authentic old feel to it. It can be a bit chilly in the winter time due to its age and thin walls. I highly recommend wearing a sweater if it is winter or late Fall/early Spring.

The food is always delicious! I would definitely recommend the steak here. Definitely the best steak? On the river. They have a great selection of Irish pub style selections too. Along with a great variety of seafood for those who enjoy it.

While the gluten free options are limited, there are some selections available. Personally, I normally order the steak or the pan fried haddock.

Price range is typical for this style restaurant with main dishes running between $18 - $35. They have a good selection of beer and ciders on tap including local micro-brewery craft beers.

You won't be disappointed if you decide to dine here.

By far my favourite place to eat in Miramichi. The Angus Bacon Cheddar Burger, the Haddock & Scallop Platter and the Spinach & Artichoke Dip are particular highlights for me.

The Irish pub was amazing. The decor was nice and atmosphere was also nice. The food was delicious. The famous fish and chip was exactly as described. The fish was tender and cook to perfection. The batter was nice and crispy. Not soggy and greasy.the fries cooked also to perfection. Nkce and crispy. Wife had a burger. The burger was juicy and not greasy. The pattie was cooked right and had good flavor. The portions was more than enough. I highly recommend going there. You will not be disappointed.

Fishcake with egg and cheese! Unbelievable! Yummm! Super delicious! It's made my day in Miramichi. Great hospitality, nice environment.

Was in Miramichi last month on business. This spot was suggested from some contacts in the area. Great pub, staff was friendly, excellent food and service. Will definitely cone back again.
