PUMP HOUSE

Not our first time at the Shediac location. The hostess was clueless! She grabbed the menus and just started walking. Were we supposed to follow her? When we asked if a booth was available, she said no. I could see people leaving one of the booths and asked if we could have that one. She said “well you’ll have to wait until I clean it. ” Obviously! We did and passed two additional empty booths along the way.
The food is so so. They have fish and chips on the menu, but when my husband asked for vinegar for his fries he was told they only have one, and it was being used by someone else! The wings are rather pricey for the portion and served with a flaccid carrot stick. No dipping sauce provided - requested blue cheese, which is not available but they did provide ranch. The music was so incredibly loud, not only could we not converse amongst ourselves, our waiter had a terrible time trying to take our order and communicate. It was also very cold in the dining room and the ladies room was out of soap and paper towels and quite dirty. There appears to be a lot of stuff standing around chitchatting and using their cell phones. Such a shame that there’s such lack of attention to detail and customer’s overall experience. There are not a lot of choices, and Shediac, particularly during the off-season. This could be a gold mine, if only the owners focused.

My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza and a chicken nacho for lunch. The pizza was good.and the only reason it's a 2 star and not a 1. The nachos looked like something a 10 year old would make. They were cold (cheese not even melted) and that was after the 2nd trip to the oven. (We sent them back once already) Definitely not something "pump house worthy" Sent them back and left after sharing a 9" pizza
The waitress has the personality of a rock. Won't be back to this location.

Definitely a favorite restaurant! Food is fabulous, most everything is made fresh & inhouse. Service is excellent, fast & friendly and of course I love the beer!

We went for lunch today the sign said open but the door was locked. The young man who opened the door wasn't sure if they were open his response was. "Kind of" my husband asked if the kitchen was open his response was no not really they are doing prep but they will make you something I'm sure. He looked stoned his eyes were half closed
We were seated in the farthest corner of an empty restaurant. We waited for a waiter/ waitress No one came they were all standing at the front desk talking we looked over twice made eye contact Still no one came over so we left. As we were leaving the girl says. Sorry. "

Amazing food, beer and service! Lots of space inside and free parking. Will go again for sure. Closer from home than the Moncton location.

This is NOT the Pumphouse Moncton. I love the wood fired pizza at Pumphouse - however at this location It was borderline horrible.even after sending a luke warm pizza back - it just came back again slightly warmer - cheese not even melted. And significantly smaller than the Moncton pumphouse pizzas as well. Sorry folks, Pumphouse has a reputation to uphold in my opinion and this iteration is not up to the standard - yet. Will try again in a month or so. Server was pleasant enough, on the up side.

UPDATE: Well it appears they figured it out at Pumphouse Shediac. Been back a couple more times and in addition to the still smiling servers, the pizzas were great and all was as expected as per pumphouse's stellar reputation. Phew! Carry in and pumphouse with confidence in Shediac.

I've been to this location 3 times. A second, and third chance if you will. Very disappointing customer service, with disappointing food to match. The lack of music pairs well with the bland food, and unenthusiastic waitresses.

If you must go to Pumphouse, the moncton location is better. Otherwise, I would recommend Mcdonalds - conveniently located slightly down the street from the Shediac Pumphouse.

No intentions of returning

Not ready for service onMonday 31st. Short of staff. Out of a lot of food. Got the order wrong X 2. Pop was flat. Server was polite.

I called for a pickup order of a messed up poutine and a nacho. I got a messed up poutine there once and it was a nice big portion. Actually really tasty. This time around they gave me half the size. I made a comment and they added fries and cheese on top. There was barely any meat and the taste was nowhere near the same. The nacho has barely any ingredients on it for 15$! They also charged more than what the menu says online. The food quality was quite poor. I don't usually like to complain but as it is a newly opened restaurant they definitely need to get this stuffed straightened out. I will be reluctant to eat here again after this.

I hope the owners read these reviews. The acoustics here really need sorting out. It is WAY TOO LOUD in this restaurant. I’m not referring to music - I mean the way everyone’s voices sound. The sound is unbearable when this place has a lot of people in the restaurant. It is such a shame because I’d like to enjoy this place (and the food is good). But we won’t be going back until the owners do something to soften the noise (add acoustic panels, add soft furnishings, please do SOMETHING to soften the currently extremely loud atmosphere). It’s not just me, others have written in their reviews about this too.

We stopped in yesterday while out on the bikes. We had an awesome experience. The beers were good (scotch ale and raddlers), my Sammy brisket was exceptional, appetizers were good. All in all we all had a great dinner! One note, whatever you do don't ask Terri for a baked potato.

Drinks weren't the best food was served quick but not completely right. Hope they have a take out option

My sever was fantastic! Very friendly and attentive. However the food was not as good. Had an appetizer and two mains. The appetizer was ok. The mains were extremely disappointing. As this is a new location they may still be getting used to the menu. However it was a very bland overall. Might be awhile before I try them again.

This is a courtesy 5-Star. I know that pump house is a great restaurant. This place is new and have couple growing pain. If i wouldn't know better i would of rated 4 star.

Waiter was great but they were out of a lot beers and only one choice for dessert as they were out of peanut butter cheesecake.

Food was average and service was great. The BBQ pizza just wasn't as good as the location in Moncton. All I could taste was BBQ sauce and bitter pizza sauce. Be prepared to scream at whoever you are with. This is the LOUDEST restaurant I've been in and trying to carry on a conversation in a normal speaking voice is impossible. If you are going for a great atmosphere this place isn't it. Also be prepared to wait more than 30 minutes to get a table. Secondly the owners may want to put some lighting in their back and side parking lot. It's pitch black and I'm sure people would like to feel safe getting in their cars and seeing what's around them. I won't be going back again.

We’ve been here a few times now but last night will be our last visit until things improve. Each time we’ve been, there’s been a bit of a wait to get a table. That’s not so bad but the food isn’t worth the wait. The pizza we have had twice now is pretty much mediocre, and the burger I had last night was crusty, dry, and barely warm by the time it arrived. I would have said something but we waited so long for our food, I decided to go ahead and eat it, and besides, our server was extremely busy, just doing her best. She was quite good under the circumstances. Another reviewer mentions how loud this location is, and this is true. They need to look at putting up some acoustic treatment.

The location in Moncton is quite good but this one has some serious kinks to iron out. Pretty disappointing.

Terrible food, lengthy wait times, and not to mention there was a hair in my order, and they completely messed it up. Would give this place negative stars if I could.

Will never go back. Place was empty except one table. Waited to be seated, Finally got seated. Two waitress working. Waited 10 minutes and no service. Got up and walked out, still no one even acknowledged we were leaving
