Rodd Miramichi River

Love staying here at the Rodd always stay here my first mistake here we reserved it for the weekend but the woman misheard me or something we were supposed to be in a suite for the weekend but due to its busy weekend we got bumped down but mistakes happen because we still got to stay and enjoyed our weekend

First impression was waiting in line for almost 15 minutes behind 1 other person who was already at the front desk when I came in. 2 employees, but the other was on the phone with people constantly calling. Not sure if it was just bad timing, but they looked overworked.

Once I got to the front desk to the one that was on the phone, not much was said and it was extremely transactional. Not a smile, or even a look. Didn't even say bye or your welcome. I guess they were extremely busy, but some small kindness or courtesy would have been appreciated.

Arriving to the room, I was really impressed! Everything was quite modern and new. The first thing I did was unpack and plug my phone in to charge. There are USB ports for charging, but I quickly found out they didn't work at all, so that was my first disappointment. The second disappointment was that the TV is not centered with the bed, and you can't swivel or angle it on the wall, which was annoying.

The biggest issue, and the main reason I am only giving 3/5 stars and would not recommend staying here is the lack of sound isolation. I heard every single conversation in the hallway, and every bowel movement in the pipes from the room above me. I was woken up at 6am due to the conversations and people in the hallway. This was really shocking considering the room was so modern and renovated, but it seems zero attention was paid to sound deadening. I would personally not stay here again for this reason alone, as the entire point of paying for a place to sleep is so that you can actually sleep. Maybe I just got a bad room, but I would stay elsewhere next time I am in town for business.

The good new is that the bed was extremely comfortable.

We had a 1st floor room on the river side. There was a sliding door that opened up to a path. The river was right there. It was lovely. Restaurant food was great. Pool was warm and very clean. Highly recommended

After a pretty poor Romance Package stay a few years ago the Rodd Miramichi made it right.

The room was very well laid out with a nice view of the river. There was a bottle of champagne, chocolates and flowers. The room was quiet and just pleasant.

We started off our stay with a soak in the hot tub. After we returned to the room and relaxed till the evening. We had a wonderful supper at the restaurant and some amazing desert, it was probably the best meal my wife and I have had in years.

We returned to the room and cracked our champagne and just enjoyed the night away from responsibilities. The next morning we had a great breakfast then we checked out. Bravo and I would definitely recommend their romance package!

Fabulous stay at the Rodd in Miramichi. We were on a road trip to PEI and needed a day to refresh. The people are amazing, room comfortable and clean. Staff were exceptional. We were traveling with a small dog and they were so welcoming: our room was set up with a dog bed, water bowl and treats! We had room service and the food was excellent. Thanks for the stay, we loved it! Next time you aren't a stop but a destination!

The General Manager needs retraining on customer service, how to be a decent human being, and also how to accommodate large groups spending thousands of dollars at your establishment. In all my years of traveling I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully. I’ll never spend another $ with the Rodd chain, and I’m going to make sure our association and others know to never book this hotel. 10 years of hockey travel, and this was the absolute worst treatment we’ve ever experienced. Ever.

Never have I ever posted a public review like this. I hope your general manager re-thinks his approach to dealing with customers, and visitors to your city.

The girls working in restaurants have treated me great and I eat there 3 or more days of the week Best eggs Benedict in all of Miramichi

Not sure what harm 10 minutes on a treadmill would do to upset the balance of other hotel guests but thank you for confirming you don't appreciate my business.

I kindly asked Emily if i could stay an extra 10 minutes as i was on the midst of my workout.and she demonstrated 0 leniency.

Not sure why a fitness facility closes at 10 pm but giving me the reason "if I let one person be on here after 10 o'clock then i have to bend the rules for everyone ". Doesn't quite tell me we welcome your stay as a business traveler.

Shout out to Emily.your demeanor was spot on and matched the "policy ". Not very understanding to guest needs.

This hotel has updated rooms, bathrooms and facilities. It has a hot tub and big pool overlooking the Miramichi River. Their restaurant is open from breakfast to late dinner with a nice selection.

Plenty of parking, accessible rooms, and friendly staff. Among the best and friendliest is Vanessa. She’s efficient, kind and accommodating.

If you stay here, say “hi! ” To her. She works the evening shift.

Extremely disappointed. Went here with two others for a birthday celebration supper, the waitress brought a filthy glass to the table, the food, from the seafood chowder starter to the sirloin steak dinner was completely cold! I asked for a slice of cake for the birthday person and she never brought it? Then when she brought the debit machine for us to pay she literally dropped it on the table and left without saying anything! We will not go back to this establishment unfortunately

Stayed at Rodd Miramichi for my child's hockey tournament. I needed an accessible room and the room that they assigned was a great fit. There was a snow storm during our stay so we ended up spending a lot of extra time at the hotel. The staff were all AMAZING! We had stellar service from the front desk, room staff and restaurant staff. By far, the best hotel stay that we've ever had (and we've had a lot if hotel stays with hockey). Will definitely go back! Thanks Rodd Miramichi for taking phenomenal care of us and the rest of the team!

We stayed four days while visiting our granddaughter, her husband and great grandson. We found the hotel very clean, the staff friendly and very helpful. Our room was very clean and we liked the extras.night light, walk in shower, the dog bed, dog bowl, the dog tag and treats. Our dog loved her bed. The restaurant food was good. We did not use the pool or hot tub as it was close for repairs, but the pool area was very nice with tables and chairs. The locker room was spacious with towels. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We went for supper, the food was well priced, served piping hot, and the waitress Tiffany was amazing, very good experience
