Not going to lie, I was a little bit worried booking here, given some of the other reviews. My worries were quickly gone though, as staying here was an incredible experience. We arrived at 4: 30Am, after a long day of driving, and wanted to book a room. The guy at the front desk was very accommodating, even dropping the (already low) price even lower, and giving us a free late checkout. The rooms themselves are definitely a bit dated (mainly the bathrooms) but that's not an issue when I just need sleep. As for the positives of the room, it was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. All and all, a great experience.

Very clean room with all required amenities, including a small fridge. Great hot breakfast included. Perfect stop for trip from Ontario to Nova Scotia.

Not happy really didn't get what we booked so we we're not impressed basic motel nothing great

First time, did not get a ground room floor as booked. Moved to second floor but I have mobility issues. Room was spotless.
After discussion with management decided to try another visit. Ordered room with requests.
Get there and the room was not made up. Alternative Room was clean but carpet heavy stained.
Front desk mentioned issues with cleaning staff.
Discussed this with the front desk in the morning. No attempt to right the issue then. Got the feeling I was the one being judged.
What ever comment from management I feel will will not reflect the situation.

Very poor experience. Advertised a pull out double bed and it was a “pull out chair” a single bed. Didn’t have enough food for everyone at breakfast. My bathroom light was flickering and the photos do not hold up.

It's OK, it's pretty decent prices and rooms are OK, the bathrooms need some work. Breakfast, unfortunately, was empty when we got there at 9 am, absolutely empty, but the young lady in the kitchen was extremely pleasant and was rushing around to get the food back out. We did book a room that specifically said it came with a pull out couch, and when we arrived at 11pm with two kids too, there was no couch at all, let alone a pull out. I didn't call to complain cause I just drove 13 hours.

My family stayed here for 1 night on our way to PEI. I booked this hotel because they have a pool for my kids to enjoy. When we got there I asked if it was open, they said yes. We went down to check it out and it was so green and murky you could not even see the bottom. It was disgusting. I told the girls at the front and soon after they closed it. The hot tub was also out of service. I was very disappointed. The hotel was not the cleanest. The floors in the entry were pretty dirty. The room was relatively clean though. I was going to give it 1 star, but the beds were comfortable (except you only get one pillow each), the hot breakfast was really good, and the girls at the front desk provided great customer service. I requested a discount because of the pool which they were happy to give, and the A/C in our original room did not work and the girls at the front desk were able to move us to a room that had one that worked. The hotel definitely needs some major improvements, but for $105 a night after my discount it was okay.

Nice hotel. Rooms were average but clean and updated. On this trip we stayed at 3 hotels. This one was pricey for what it is in comparison to the other 2 we stayed at.
Loved the full breakfast. Everything was hot and they replenished the food right away.

My husband and I stayed there for a night on our way to Halifax last October and we enjoyed our stay very much. So much so that when we go back to Halifax in July we will stay here again

The hotel is decent at best. The Wi-Fi is soooo bad here and basically unusable.

My husband and I stayed one night. We were really comfortable and rested in the morning. We had breakfast which was really good. I would stay there again!

Stayed in a dog friendly cabin. It was perfect. Lots of area and trails to walk your dog and they even had free doggie poop bags located outside. Would recommend especially for those travelling with pets

Bed was so comfy! A/C was very loud. Staff were great even with our room not being ready twice. Theu were down a maid. That gave us time to go explore. Loved walking around the pond:)

Out of my expectations. The sheets are clean and white, the door opened to the yard is convenient, the view is beautiful. Not tomention the free awesome breakfast!

We decided to call the motel while on our way as we had a king bed + sofa bed and wanted to make sure we would have sheets for the sofa bed as it was getting late and we prevously had some bad experiences eith that kind of motels. The lady on the phone reassured us and told us they were waiting for us. We arrived 2 hours later as planned and then the nightmare started. First we had to wait 30-45 min in the hall (with 7 other people) as there was nobody at the reception. When someone finally arrived, she looked at our reservation and told us that the room we had rented was not clean (at 9pm). We responded that it was weird as we had just call, and she told us that we were liars and never have called (? !). We showed her the calling history in our phone and she just repeated« No you didn’t call ». She then also added « anyway your credit card is declined so I have to cancel your reservation » (? !) Our credit card worked perfectly finr and she was obvioulsy just trying to make excuses for the fact that they didnt have a room for us instead of owning their mistake. It was such a insulting and unprofessional experience. We also saw her treating other persons in line the same way, telling them she cannot do anything for them if they don’t have hot water.

Nice room. Good brealfast. Only complaint was we ended up on the second floor and no offer to help with our luggage to get it up stairs.

For this price - excellent. Big clean room, park in front of it. Breakfast on real plates and real cups (not the plastic and carton you get elsewhere).
Sound isolation not great but quiet atmosphere makes it work.

Place is older but has a great relaxing feel. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is great. Addressing some of the negative reviews, I did not smell smoke or musty any where. We stayed from 4pm Saturday to 7am Sunday and heard 1 train around 7pm. Hot tub was working and pool was not cold. Beds in cabins are doubles though not queens, but rooms are not small.

Avoid the cabins! Don’t know what’s the experience with the rooms but the cabins should be demolished and built again. It stinks of smoke which is puzzling since smoking is prohibited. Had to buy an air freshener to survive the night. The A/C was extremely loud and honestly didn’t dare to shower there. Too expensive for such an awful place. On a positive note they did offer earplugs for the trains noise.

UNSAFE PLACE
BEWARE of dirty brown water and disappointing staff. Stayed here August 9th. The room was clean, the evening staff member was lovely. When I told her that brown water was coming out of all the taps in our room, she wrote a note to the manager and apologized. That’s really all I needed. The next morning however was very disappointing. I spoke to the morning female staff member on August 10. She said the brown water was from a recent storm. I told her it was unsafe and I was concerned that people would be drinking it at breakfast. She initially offered me.a $25 refund (really? !) and then when I told her that I’d booked through Expedia, I’d need to go through them. Thank God I booked through Expedia because they’ve given me an $80 voucher and they apologized! I left a phone message with the assistant manager at Rodeway Inn who has yet to call me back. Very unprofessional. I don’t normally write bad reviews but this is an unsafe motel and I feel like I need to warn people about it.

Loved this place, the rooms are spacious and clean, the indoor swimming pool is a bonus, breakfast was fantastic, there is another hotel nearby, but spend the extra $25 and treat yourself to a much better experience.

Love this place. For a motel it's got everything you need and then some. Superb service and one of the best complimentary breakfasts I've ever had! Not to mention they have a pool! TVs have dodgy reception though

The rooms were outdated, and smelled heavily like cigarette smoke. Found it strange that the government rate was far more expensive than regular rate. Moving across country with the family and we had been on the road for 6 days already so we just wanted a fast place to sleep and leave in the AM.

L'hôtel est vieux et à besoin de rénovation. Pas d'ascenseur. Les corridors pas accueillant et n'inspire pas confiance. Il est tard et nous sommes fatigués, sinon nous aurions changé d'hôtel. Trop cher payé pour cet endroit.

Le matin du 20 juin, pas d'eau chaude. En plus, même s'il y en avait eu, le loquet pour activer la douche était brisée.

Nous avons fait une plainte à la réception de l'hôtel. La jeune femme a pris en note sur papier, les problèmes et le numéro de la chambre. Rien d'autre. Nous avons demandé un crédit. La réceptionniste ne savait pas si elle pouvait. Elle demandera à sa patronne et nous reviendra. Après le déjeuner nous retournons à la réception. La patronne ne répond pas, elle est occupée. Pas de crédit! Nous avons communiqué avec Expedia et nous recevrons un crédit par Expedia. Merci Expedia.

The staff were extremely friendly when we arrived, but once we got to our room and called the front desk due to a few problems there was no answer, I am disabled and found it too far to walk from our room back to the desk. I contacted airmiles.ca and the hotel and so far have had NO SUCCESS, found hair in the shower, on the bathroom floor, God Only knows about the bed as I didn't check it we were so tired, and I regret that one, no one will reply from CHOICE HOTELS who are supposed representatives of Rodeway Inn.the air conditioning unit was in the wall almost to the ceiling and couldn't be reached to turn on, was the old type in the wall.nothing to stand on and the bed was too far from the wall to use to stand on.so no air conditioning and it was 33 celcius out that day and the evening wasn't much cooler, unbelievably with luck I carried a table fan with me as we were going on a vacation and thought I might need it. A premonition. The pictures on air miles are not at all what our room was like.don't know where they got them from but not room 117.the only good thing besides the check in lady was the breakfast the following morning.and the staff that made it. STILL waiting on a reply from hotel whom I have now contacted at least twice and air miles several times.
UPDATE July 26th/22 - AIR MILES SUCKS, they won't refund points to my account and CHOICE HOTELS which Rodeway Inn I imagine must be ran by said they would contact me and NEVER HAVE, not even thru email, and that is the best way that I would get my messages. It's disgraceful that you can find hair in your shower and it is not yours or your husbands, it was a longer black hair and I have white hair and hubby doesn't have any, there was also one of the floor. The air conditioner and it was hot out that day 30-33 c (you could not reach it or WE could not reach it), I called the front desk and there was no answer and I let it ring incase they were busy. Disgraceful service from Air Miles as far as I am concerned not standing behind what they advertise, because the pictures on site are nothing like the rooms were. Like I said previously I think the only thing that looks the same as the picture was the front entrance and the Wooden Structure, looks like an old post office.

The Rodeway Inn is definitely a hidden gem. The rooms are not the most modern, but are clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and great service from the staff. We stayed here two times during a road trip and had a good experience both times.

Cute layout, cabins weren't super clean, very dated and needs a major upgrade. Free breakfast was amazing lots of food and well prepared. Pool was good and kids enjoyed it, the entire place screams of a motel from the 80's. There is lots of parking and expect to hear a train go by every so often not even 30 feet from the cabins.

This is such a happily situated gem operated by genuine people that care. Great location, scenic picnic area, clean rooms, ample parking (Motorhome parking friendly as well), and the best breakfast offering of any hotel. We’ve traveled across Canada 3 times and this hotel is always the highlight of the trip. Great place run by great people.

This hotel has some high points and some low points. On our trip out East my husband and I stayed at six different hotels and this one had the best breakfast! Bacon, eggs, muffins, yogurt, sausage, cereal, cheese, breads the whole works. It was nice to be able to pull up to the main floor room we had like a motel. We were travelling with our four month old and had alot of stuff to bring into the room. The rooms themselves were alright. Beds comfortable, linens clean, in room coffee and fridge. But the bathroom in our room definitely needed some work. It's location was nice. Just 10 minutes from the Grand Falls which are definitely a sight to see. I would stay here again.

After driving for hours decided to stay here based on reviews and their website. There is no restaurant here, the sauna isn’t working, the hot tub isn’t working, electrical cord was laying plugged in beside the pool and a train passesd through behind the place about every three hours. The lady at the desk was nice and the room not too bad

The perfect spot to stay when traveling with your pets! The service I received from a lady I forgot her name sorry was amazing! So friendly and kind! Amazing customer service! The cabins are the perfect size and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The front porch is a nice feature to have a coffee/beer:) and watch the ducks in the pond. Plenty of space for the dogs to roam and do there business. Your own little driveway for your vehicle. Feels like home away from home.

Maybe a place to stop late at night while on your way to your vacation, but certainly not a place to vacation at. Took a room for us and one for our son and girlfriend, they decided to go swim, well they were disappointed. Water was frigid, the hot tub was not working, it was even empty and the sauna was not working. No ways to get themselves warm after being in the very cold pool. We were stuck in a cabin, floors might be updated, but still have a damp smell. They told us the bed was a Queen size, it was more like a double since it was very small compare to our Queen bed at home. On top of it, the cabins must be really close to the rail track because it felt like the train was going through it. Have to say it was my first time and last time there.

L'hôtel, très bien, chambres rénovées et très bon déjeuner chaud avec grand choix. Piscine et hotel situé un peu à l'écart du village. Si vous voulez encourager l'économie locale c'est l'endroit où arrêter pour 1-2 nuit. Si vous voulez plus de confort, demandez une suite, très confortable et moderne. Un must pour un arrêt sur la route à bon prix, bon il ne faut pas s’attendre au hilton bien sur mais le motel dans son ensemble est propre, le lit confortable, bien pratique d’etre au rez de chaussez pour accéder a la voiture. L’espace de la piscine est bien aussi, l’eau est bonne et avec un buffet chaud pour dejeuner en plus! Staff très gentil!

Stayed there twice, good hotel, good price could be little lower for the value, rooms are clean, unlike other motels has good laundry very friendly staff, great parking spots, near to city good location.rooms could be more cleaner.

Rooms were dated but clean and had pretty much everything you need for an overnight stay. A/C was noisy but manageable. No hot water in the morning though. You might want to have that shower early. Breakfast was fine. Staff was friendly.

Outdated hotel and trucks in the parking lot woke us up at 5: 30. A/C is too noisy to keep on at night. We paid way too much for this level of quality.

It was great, srayed in a cabin as we have a dog. Pond was full of ducks, a badger too. Breakfast was fine.

This place slaps I love going for swims in the pond I get this really weird chemical rash when I swim through the green parts of the pond but other than that I only get about 7-8 leeches on my legs after taking my initial jump and it's a really great place to get drunk and forget I'm on night shift for the summer

I loved it here, I stayed in the trailers on the side of the hotel and it was perfect everything one needed to quarantine and then some - great service, great price and very well done set up!

OK, so it isn't the most lavish and up to date hotel in New Brunswick but it's clean the beds are comfy and the staff are both friendly and helpful and it actually is a free breakfast, not a bagel jam and a coffee like most. Bacon, eggs Sausages, beans with toast coffee or tea and fruit juices. Not a rant but they could do a little better separating the traveler from the early rising clod hopper feet of the construction worker guys that stay. Is it as nice as the Best Western? No, but it's about fifty bucks a night cheaper with a proper breakfast and I slept just as well in both.

Nous sommes rester 3 nuits. Nous avons choisi celui ci qui est un peu plus éloignés mais avait l'air mieux a cause de la piscine, spa, jacuzzi et dejeuner inclus. La piscine, supposé être chauffé, était froide, j'ai avisé l'acceuil et le message a été fait a la maintenance. Le lendemain, pas de maintenance sur place. 2 jours plus tard la maintenance a allumer le chauffage, heureusement le matin, ce qui nous a permis d'en profiter un peu.un peu, car l'eau n'avais pas encore atteint sa temperature en une seule journée.

Salle de bain, Ouch. Poils, traces noir au fond du bain, mais surtout.jai du essuyer les traces jaunâtres du siege de toilette que je croyais tacher, mais non, avec un peu d'eau et une lingettes, 2 grosses taches jaunes ont disparu.j'ai failli vomir.

L'admin nous a choisi une chambre en pleins milieux des autres chambres louer par des travailleurs alors que nous étions touristes.pas le fun du tout de se faire réveiller a 5: 30 en vacances. Tout le reste du motel était vide (covid) alors pourquoi nous installer avec les autres.
A chaque jour j'ai du retourner a l'acceuil refaire nos cartes magnétiques car l'Admin nous checkait out chaque matins.

Sensible au bruit de train? Il passe directement derriere le motel

Avec l'étang, les jeux et le pont couvert le plus court au monde, c'est clairement une place la famille en plein été.

À refaire a condition que tout soit fonctionnel.

Older but renovated and very clean. For the first floor, you can park at the outside door, and have access to the hallway via the internal door. During my second stay, the indoor pool and the weekday hot breakfast were available since closure due to Covid. The hot breakfast served safely by staff and includes fresh waffles, toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and juice. Even bagels and cream cheese. Recommended.

Good continental breakfast each day. We stayed in one of the cabins and there was lots of room. The bathtub could have been a little cleaner.

I gave this hotel a rating if three only for the fact that it is dated. Its an older hotel. There is no elevator. The air conditioning was not usable (mind you it is the winter months). The bathroom was not well ventilated and all bathroom appliances were visibly old and stained.
Customer service was excellent however. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the cost of our room. Overall no problems to speak of.

Took a stop after a long drive from Toronto on our way to Charlottetown and was truly impressed. For a small hotel I wasn't expecting much, but from the large room (with all amenities), amazing breakfast I am glad I took the stop here.
I'm sure the outdoor views are great in the summer here.

Arrived at 6: 45 pm after a long drive from Toronto. My room wasn't ready. The manager told me go have supper in the restaurant, which took 1 hour to get our food. Finally the room was ready. The hotel smelt like paint from all the renovation being done. I can't believe check in time was 3pm when really the room is ready at 7pm.

Where to begin. While on vacation we stayed at 3 different choice hotels. At the last stay we received an email giving us 20% off our next stay. We found a choice hotel in Grand falls and when i clicked in the link the name changed to Rodeway inn. Confusssed as to why i called the link before i booked spoke to a fellow and explained i wanted to stay there and i have 20% off my next stay please confirm this is a choice hotel. He confirmed it was and said he would be happy to book me in. He asked who would be in the room with me and i told him my husband and my son, i asked for 2 queen beds because we are all over 6 foot tall. At the end of the booking i was given my rate and i asked if that was with my 20% off. The man told me to simply show the email at time if check in and the clerk will apply it. I gave my credit card info and we were booked.
Arrived to check in and presented my phone to the clerk showing the email with 20%, and I was prompltly told that i to book on line to get this rebate. I explained that i tried to but the name Quality inn changed to Rodeway so i called to make sure it was a choice hotel and the man on the line said he could take care of the booking for me. I mentioned again that i have a 20% discount to book online and he told me its fine. The girl at the counter told.me in 3 yrs she has never had a problem i was the first. (i asked if she was calling me a liar and she smiled and shrugged) I asked if she could check with the manger and he promptly drove up 2 mins later. After his girl explained the situation he asked me if he could help. I explained again the situation and he said it had to be booked online. I mentioned that i would be calling head office and report it because its not right. He then told me he would honor the 20% and then asked who was in the room, i pointed at my son and husband and he said he is not a child the rate is $20.00 more. Then he looked at me and said enjoy Your FREE HOT BREAKFAST tomorrow.
I smiled and said i will not be eating i am a bariatric patient, to which he replied those 2 will be eating (my husband and my son)
And smirked.
Off to our room we went.
Beds were ok except for the silver fish and black beetles on the floor.
The shower stall had black hairs on the wall.
Woke up and went to get a coffee
My husband made 2 slices of toast
And my son made a plate and threw most of it away because he said the eggs were soggy And sausage was raw.

Avoid this place

This was a pleasant surprise, the room was nicer than I expected as was the breakfast, great place to stop for a traveller.

We were given a smokers cabin as there were no non smoking rooms available for us and our kids and small pug. Upon opening that entrance door, it smelled like there were ten people smoking in the room. It was disgusting smelling and was difficult to take a deep breath in the room. It was obvious that nobody has ever cleaned the walls or air conditioner in this room. The air conditioning machine was dirty on the front. The bathroom itself was also disgusting. The toilet had a disgusting rim of black around it that could have been easily removed with a brush. When my kids started washing their hands, there was a black residue on the taps that got all over them.

We would never recommend this place to anyone. $150 for a room should have been a $40 room

Nice place to stay. I had one of the little cottages. It was a little expensive for what you get, but otherwise I liked it. Breakfast is included - eggs and bacon.

Best free breakfast of any hotel. Very clean but rooms slightly dated. Unexpected room with view of indoor pool. I will visit again and recommend it to friends. Easy access to TCH

Overall we were pretty happy with our stay. Staff was very friendly, the hot breakfast was great and we enjoyed the pool as well! We got the room with a window to the indoor pool though, which was a little unlucky.

I was lucky to get a room here we were traveling the East Coast on our way back to Ontario was so hot and it was perfect they had a pool, hot tub and a sauna and a great view of a pond in front of our room and free breakfast made my day!

We were looking for a place clean place to stay overnight and it was. The breakfast was included and it has an indoor pool.

An absolute gem, lovely staff always smiling, wonderful room the bed is like a cloud. The pool and is great the hot tub needs a little cleaning but that's just me being a crazy person haha. The breakfast is outstanding and I would recommend everyone stay here. Thanks for the wonderful service hopefully I have the opportunity to stay here again

Nice hotel. Forgot my windows open and they have put a plastic over it to prevent water coming inside my car. Little things like that make me appreciate the trip and made my day

My father and I stayed here last night and both felt like it was one of the best night sleeps we had in a while. The building is obviously constructed well, it's very quiet, staff is great and it was a third less cost than the Best Western 5 minutes away. I hope to stay here again soon. Oh yeah, the breakfast was great too!

Shower didnt work. Cable was disconnected. Only 2 small pillows. Blankets were paper thin. We will never stay here again.

When we arrived they did not have our booking, we had to wait around and then redo it. They charged us twice and will not fix it as it was their mistake. The staff was rude and unfriendly to our children. The weekend we stayed there was a hockey team staying as well they were loud, rude and not asked to quite down or settle down, our rooms were dirty, smelled old and musty, beds were hard, T. V did not work, charged more then they quoted us, charged us extra for a cot as we could not get two queen size beds cause of their under qualified staff and all of the mix up. Breakfast was okay but not great, ceiling in the pool room leaks, so if your not swimming and just relaxing watching your kids you will still get wet. I will never recommend.

Nous sommes restés à cet hôtel 2 nuits en allant à Montréal et une autre nuit en revenant de vacances. C'était une très belle expérience! Un personnel très chaleureux et attentif à tous nos besoins, et très gentil avec les enfants. Une connection Internet à haute-vitesse, très efficace. Une grande piscine intérieure chauffée, un jaccuzi, un sauna. Un petit déjeuner toujours frais et délicieux qui n'a rien de "petit" du tout: oeufs, bacon, saucisses, gauffres, céréales, patates, pain, bagels, muffins, café, jus, chocolat chaud et plus encore. Les chambres sont grandes, propres et très bien entretenues. L'hôtel est à proximité de tout: à 2 minutes du centre-ville où il y a Wal-Mart, Shoppers, Dollarama et plus encore ainsi que près des restaurants comme Pizza Boy, Restaurant Le Grand-Sault, Pizza Delight/Scores et d'autres. À 5 minutes des chutes de Grand-Sault et du Zip Zag. Le Rodeway Inn est une expérience authentique. On y retournera c'est sûr. Hautement recommandé. Prix imbattables. Visitez le Rodeway Inn quand vous êtes à Grand-Sault, c'est le choix #1!

Nice place with convenient acess off the highway, clean with friendly staff. Great potatoes in the hot breakfast!
