Rothesay Route 1 Big Stop Restaurant

The food is amazingly fresh, and serving size is awesome! I got a Hungryman Poutine and the serving size wad worth it! Service was awesome and would go back agian. 10/10 would recommend to attend this place that will treat you like a friend. Don't pretend this review isn't convincing you to extend your schedule for this.

The food used to be good but the last two times I've been there it's been awful. I will say the staff are all nice

I haven't been in for quite awhile but went with a friend recently and had a club sandwich platter and it was absolutely delicious! Fast friendly service also! Ya I won't be as long going back next time!

Love it! We go at least once a week. Clean, bright and plenty of parking. Friendly, efficient staff. Great menu, great prices good food and senior options. They also make arrangements for wheelchairs without any hassles.

Always a great basic meal. Almost always busy in there but the service is usually pretty quick.

Given a choice on the road our choice, hands down, is a stop at any Irving Big Stop. Route 1 Big Stop always serves up great food with ample portions at a great price. Our server was great and made us feel at home even though she was extremely busy. Good job.

Love the Cheesecake made by the restaurant, sold in the big stop. There's also a pretty hiking trail that goes from the Baseball diamond to the big stop.

A big beaver dam can be spotted in the lake behind the gas station!

Always great portions and prices. Service was good wish we had been asked booth or table as we had our newborn with us but other than that great as always!

I don't like you because you et all the people wear a mask even people that have health thing and you are not aload to do that ok my mom can't wear a mask and they said she can't come in if she don't got a mask ok and was in there before and you let her in now she can't now ok the pub said she don't have to wear a mask you can't make them to wear one if she don't want to ok.i call you and you said no she can't come in that why you don't get to many people in there now ok.

Newly renovated and gorgeous inside. Comfortable and relaxed dining, great for sipping on a coffee. Clean and friendly environment as well as staff.

Always enjoy our dinners here. Nice staff! Can't wait till covid is over so the interaction will be back to a fun level again.

Food was good. Had fish n chips dinner n left the restaurant filled. Portions are smaller n prices are higher now. Treated to a birthday supper courtesy of my best friend & her daughter.thanks for the great service n food

Food-on-the-run or table service, there are lots of hot or cold choices here, like many of the Irving Big Stops.
The personable and friendly staff in the restaurant here raise this location above many of the others.
I love the lightly breaded fish'n chips, but it's all good, and generous portions.
Quick service.
Clean bathrooms.
Large parking lot.
Easy in and out access to the highway eastbound.

This is a classic place to eat for breakfast. Fantastic food, great prices and friendly staff. I've eaten here many of mornings after a long night out on the town. Their pies are also fantastic.

Very hit or miss for food quality and staff friendliness. Sometimes everything is great while other times not so much. Good place to take a picky eater as they have something for everyone.

Very busy place for lunch, staff were very friendly, food was pretty good too
We had our 2 babies with us, they accommodated us and replaced 2 chairs with high chairs. Went pretty smoothly.

It was good. Food was hot, and cooked well great batter for seafood batter, service was ok maybe not as informed as should be when pop runs out of syrup.

Friendly staff and delicious food. Reasonably priced and the restaurant is comfortable.

It can get busy though and a little loud. I still love this place regardless of that!

The good is always great, the crinkle cut fries guarantee happiness. The servers are too! Samantha laughed with us and was sweet and genuine, fast and offered help with our choices.

Have eaten here many times, ordered breakfast recently, ordered unfrozen, fresh potatoes deep fried for breakfast, was told Tina the manager said we couldn't have them, yet we had had them before, no problem. Who is the customer? Who pays the wages Tina?

Lesson learned, go elsewhere.

Ordered the seafood bake - tremendous! The shrimp was some of the best I've had and alfredo sauce was a palatable delight!

Ordered Poutine for take out with extra cheese cause it is never enough. Cost $15. Had to wait 30 minutes, got home barely any cheese and the fries weren't cooked all the way. I should have known better, this will be the last time.

The big stop offers a variety of food offerings and for a truck stop the food is good. Occasionally they do have some awesome cakes which are a local treasure

Prices are going up and food was not hot. In their defense it was really busy. Smaller portions and better prices would be Fantastic.
