Would not recommend my friend brought their vehicle in for and mvi and the vehicle was failed for items that clearly pass mvi after having looked at the vehicle myself they are defenetly out to take advantage of people. Me and my friends are both red seal automotive techs and both have a copy of the NB mvi book. Stay clear of these crooks! They even failed a 1 week old wiper blade

I was a client of this place for some years and always appreciated their service. I would always receive estimates and information on what services would be done on my car before it happened. Over the years, trust was built. Until my last service from them. I went in to have my break pads changed and without providing an estimate or getting my consent, they also changed the rotors. The car was in the shop for 2hrs but they charged me for 3.5hrs of labour. At the end of the day, the bill was enormous. My husband looked online to compare the prices and found that they used the most expensive premium break pads and rotors to use from their provider Napa when there were more affordable options $70 less per set that they could have at least told me about, again, providing an estimate and getting my consent before going ahead with the most expensive option. When we went in to discuss our concerns with them, they were adamant that “we never do anything without consent” and “we always provide an estimate” but I have text communications that say otherwise and also found here other reviews from past customers complaining of similar experiences of repairs done without consent. In the end, they took the time to review the bill with us and agreed to refund us the cost of the rotors that were put on without my consent. We made the most out of a stressful situation and I learned what not to do next time. But the biggest disappointment in the end is feeling like I was taken advantage of as a woman for my limited knowledge about car mechanics.

WOW! Thank you so much for the fantastic service I received today I drove in with a flat and drove out 45 mins later! This type of service will bring me back for sure!

I broke down driving through New Brunswick. And Jason from S$S auto got my vehicle in and found the issue within a couple of hours. Unfortunately for me it was my body module which has to be programmed by a gm dealer and a gm only part. However the treatment and professional services were above and beyond and was the best service I have received at any automotive repair shop. He even discounted the rate for me. I would return to this shop anytime I'm in Fredericton. Thank you for all of your help.

I change the tire and all the staffs are so kind and nice to us. They fixed very fast in the busy time. I’m so happy to know about this place and staffs.

I visited this service centre while on vacation as a walk in. Even though they were busy, they accommodated me the same day. Staff were friendly and professional and had me back on the road!

Highly recommend was in need to have 2 tires mounted and they got me all hooked up as no other shop could get me in. Great shop and excellent service. If I could give a higher review I would.

Fantastic local service - totally loyal to regular customers. We regularly have our car serviced there, store our winter tires there, and get repairs done. Every job done well, at a reasonable cost (even free for small stuff). Always courteous and cheerful - they obviously enjoy giving friendly service.

My dad and I are on a road trip through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI - on our first day in New Brunswick we got a flat tire. Not knowing Fredricton, we went to SS Tire and Auto to hopefully get a repair. Despite being booked solid, the amazing staff squeezed us in, inspected and repaired the tire so we could quickly be on our way. Cannot speak high enough of this place - friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Blew a tire on the highway, no one else would put a tire on a rim for me but these guys were more than happy to slide me in. Couldn't be happier and would recommend this shop to anybody.

We had a wheel bearing start buzzing on our way from Ontario to Newfoundland, they fit us in, had excellent customer service and the friendliest office staff. The mechanics were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain any issues. 10/10 would recommend.

After a long drive across Canada, I blew a tire just outside of Fredericton, S/S tire looked after me and managed to find my specialty tire very quickly. They helped arrange a tow truck and had me back on the road faster then I could of hoped for… amazing costumer service and very friendly. Thx S/S

Took my vehicle in for MVI, charged for replacing a filter that wasn't necessary for inspection and without consent. Lacks communication skills. Gave an extremely low estimate before doing the work that was communicated to us that was totally unrealistic and told us it was our misunderstanding. Will not return or recommend. They have great gaslighting skills, however.
