Saint John Animal Hospital

SJAH has been my family vet since I was a child, and as an adult I’ve carried on a client (no questions asked). As a cat mom to 4, having a reliable veterinarian I can always call for help is so important to me; knowing I can count on the staff at Saint John Animal Hospital to treat my pets as their own in any situation is a huge relief. The service they provide is always compassionate, caring and professional & I’m so thankful for all of their help over the years. We recently had the unfortunate diagnosis of terminal cancer in our oldest cat, Kermit. (he was 7), and the entire staff were so kind during this difficult ordeal. A special thank you to Dr Demerchant for caring for and doing everything possible to diagnose and treat Kermit, and thank you to Dr Britt for ensuring our last moments with him were exactly how we need them to be. (highly recommend opting to have a ceramic paw print done up).

I also wanted to take a quick moment & send a special thank you to Dr Hannah Buck for going above and beyond for Marilyn Meow after her spay. She is a valuable team member and an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Called for a prescription pet food. Told I couldn't have it because I wasn't a client. Told the secretary the food is sold out everywhere and I have a prescription. Guess the vets here don't care about the animals, just there pockets.

Was able to get my moms cat in at a very busy time, vet very friendly and too great care of chuckie ty

Just called as my dog had went there a few times was concerned as shes now 12 and wasnt eating and women i spoke to quite rude said your not a client anymore we have 1 dr call emerg 658 8387.

They don't care about your fur babies. Just want your money! I have 1 dog & 4 cats & I spent close to $3,000 in less than 2 yrs at that office & when my 19 yr old senior kitty had kidney failure they wanted to make me wait a week to get in? Are you kidding me? Poor service. My fur babies deserve better!

Been going there for years, and will continue going there. They take very good care of my fur babies

Pretty much told me no to a check up cause they were too busy. No time frame nothing said try somewhere else.

The manager of this fine establishment is rude to staff and customers alike. In my opinion the manager also shows a clear bias (I'd go so far as to say discrimination) when hiring. Favoring white females over any other race/gender.

The rest of the staff are always friendly and ready to help.

It's a shame the manager is the living caricature of a stereotypical "boomer. "

I had to take my 8 year old dog in afterhours because it was having a hard time breathing. The vet was vet good and with xray and untrasound found that she had a heart arrhythmia. The vet gave her some medications to help her. After a few days her breathing was much better. The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable.

Everybody here is so caring and so loving. They gave my baby the best care that a fur mommy could ask for.

I thought my dog might have a tick embedded in his paw. The tech took a look for me. Lovely gal, all good, no tick and a no charge for her time

This place does not accept identity theft or fraudulent payments, HALLELUJAH! Firmly set in the scientific method and science backed results, not clown college methodologies. (Doctors Only)

Some of the staff are kind, But I would not recommend this vet to ANYONE. Terrible organization and little compassion for their client's. Multiple poor interactions with these people surrounding my pets passings.

Love the service as well as what the vet is currently doing for my cat. My cat has had bronchitis (or some some of infection) and instead of just assuming it's one thing she asked for extra evidence of the condition because my cats not always having breathing attacks. So far, the moment I started giving the prescribed medicine she gave me my cat barely wheezes and seems to be doing so much better than when the last vet gave medicine. Love this place.

Very happy with the service I received for my fur baby, a tad bit expensive but service was good.

The owner wrote me a threatening message on facebook after I missed an appointment. She insinuated that she was telling the rest of the vets she works with so that I could not get vet care for my pets in Saint John.

Never been there, never met the woman. Will never go.

Dr. DeMerchant is excellent, taking care of our dog and two cats, and making sure we get the best guidance in managing their health.

I've been bringing my FurKids to this location for years. They are compassionate and they truly love animals. All of my pets have picked up on that from them. They are at ease with the Dr's and technicians. I would recommend to anyone.
