Very tasty fish and chips. Very nice and attentive service. However, it is so loud that it is difficult to have a conversation at the table.

Enjoyed a lovely evening at Sandbar. My friend and I ordered one seafood platter and it was more than enough food for both of us - we weren’t even able to finish it. It was nice to try a few different things (it came with lobster, mussels, bacon-wrapped scallops, a crab cake, and shrimp). Note that you will have to pay to enter the pier area where the restaurant is located (I think it was around $4).

Food was good, no lobster when we were there which was disappointing. Right on the ocean, inside was nicely done.

I'm torn.we enjoyed our visit today because the location is amazing, and the service was really good and friendly. However, the wings were not good. Just boxed frozen wings with Frank's red hot. The bacon wrapped scallops were severely over cooked/deep fried. But the seafood chowder was really really good!

We've gone here a few times and have always been very happy with the food, service and setting. Parking is at the warf so it's a fee to enter by car. But it's worth it for the experience.

Overall a very disappointed experience. We walked up to a long lineup, but that’s fine we were willing to wait our turn. The frustrating thing was the hostess would go through the lineup asking how many people, then bring people in with the same group size who were behind us, maybe there was a reason but it wasn’t apparent.

We checked the restaurant menu on line and saw lobster dinner on the menu so we were willing to wait, we are from Western Canada and we were excited to try Atlantic lobster. Then when we sat down the “post season” menu was given to us, lobster is apparently no longer available. This was extremely disappointing. This should be changed on line.

I ordered a lobster rolls, my wife ordered a hamburger. Lobster rolls were dry and on a dry hot dog bun, and no nice chunks just shredded brownish claw meat. The burger was dry and over cooked. The food took over and hour from time of order.

The waitress was average, but way too busy we barely saw her.

Setting was nice, sunset was beautiful by the water.

Definitely won’t be back. I needed to post this because our decision to go there was based on the high review rating. Was not a 4.5 star experience.

We actually wanted to go to the cafe next door, but it was closed - so we tried out the Sandbar. It's a pleasant place with great atmosphere and the location on the ocean you can't beat. The service started slow, but we were the first people there that day, so that's fine. Food was really good and so were the drinks. Would go again. 5 stars if the service was a hair better.

The service wasn't as fast or as attentive as I would have expected.

We waited agood 5 minutes after the hostess said she'd be right back before we were seated. It wasn't super busy, and it didn't look like they were under staffed, but it seemed like it one server was working.

As a tourist spot, they really should update their menu for the lobster dinner. Freshly cooked sounds like it is freshly cooked. Ice cold lobster is not freshly cooked. Freshly brewed coffee is piping hot.

Good portion. The lobster, shrimp and bacon wrapped scallops were good. The mussels were small

Went for the seafood and shared the seafood platter. Food was 5 Star. Would definitely go back.

The service was super great, i live in Shediac and it was my first time.will go again for sure.

Bon restaurant. Bon service. On ne nous presse pas pour partir, même si on prend notre temps pour manger. Un peu d'attente avant d'entrer car ils ne prennent pas les réservations.

Prévoir 3$ pour passer la guérite de pointe du chêne si vous y allez en voiture (ils acceptent comptant et crédit).

Recommandations: sandbar deluxe (si vous voulez manger plein de fruits de mer), fish and chips, daiquiri aux fraises.

The only worth while restaurant to vist on the wharf, good lobster, great shrimp, excellent pasta, the chef joined us for a drink after hrs as well.

Special thanks to our waitresses Alex, can't rember the other two girls name but big shout out to the little brunette with the cat who's going to university to become a teacher and the taller waitresses with 13 tattoos. Super fun place to eat and have a drink, ocean view, this restaurant has excellent customer service as well!

You are on the east cost, if you are use to the Hussel and bussel of the big city, this place is a nice break, also, happy hr is from 3-4 as well!

(Captian Dan's has a super cool statue out front, but awfull customer service, 20 + min wait following a 25 min wait to get a drink during happy hr is awful)

Last night in town after an hr wait as a tour bus showed up.the power went out as we were next in line, everyone staryed to leave the sand bar, super nice teacher in training let us come in and have a drink even tho everything was down, the entire staff came together to start writing recipes the old fashion way, was really good to see a bunch of young workers come together and tackle the problem head on. 12/10!
The owner has hired some smart quick thinking staff.bravo!

Food not bad, but not amazing. Service good. Try and get a table with a water view or sit outside. Looking at the wharf itself is not very fulfilling:)

Seafood, seafood, seafood. The absolute yummiest fish tacos, super service, people have learned to smile with their eyes. I LOVE THE PLACE. TACO WARS ARE COMING YUM!

The food was delicious! Prices reasonable! Our Waitress Jolene was friendly and efficient. What more could one ask for! Wonderful 60th Birthday dinner!

Patio is great! The food is mostly deep fried which is disappointing. I was hoping for something different than Captain Dan's but it ended being very similar. I just feel that the menu was very heavy for a summer spot. I had a salad with grilled shrimp and it was a 6/10, which is expected for a deep fried spot.

Great food, beautiful view. Was a bit on the expensive side but the plates are proportioned perfectly. I didn't have any leftover and i was full. I had a classic burger and it was great. I will be returning.

Location: In Shediac, on the wharf. There's plenty of parking though during peak season, I could see this area getting pretty packed!

The place: Average decor - it's got plenty of seating (I think they also have seating outside but not 100% sure.

The goods: I ordered a lobster roll and it came with home made fries. Both items were really good and personally, I had enough lobster meat in my roll. I felt pretty satisfied at the end of the meal.

Service: Good.

Price point: I don't remember but I think it was around $20. A bit expensive but that roll was pretty darn tasty!

Great service the mussels app to start was the best I've had and would suggest that to anyone that sauce was outstanding l, fish and chip was good also and the Cesar go down great.all in all great service from entering to leaving

We showed up 5 people for lunch got attitude from a skinny blond chick, then got seated and had to ask for menus. Then just dropped glasses and 2 pitcher of water on the coroner of the table so we can serve ourself I guess. Then just watched our waitress drink red bull behind the bar. Watched them walk around and take orders all around us but ours. So after a 30 mins waitting we walked out. One of the other waitress came over and tried to bring us back but it was to late at that point. We had such a nice time last time we were their and the food is great but the service need major work.

Great view! Always hard to get in but it's very worth it!

I've had poetically half their menu and you can't really go wrong!

The muscles are particularly good. They come in a delicious thick cream sauce. Not normally my style but really like them anyway!

Great place to eat. I recommend the mussels with the creamy wine sauce.so delicious! Service is quick and food is amazing. The Sandbar offers lots of great views of Shediac Bay too.

My wife and I went. Crab dip for an appetizer and lobster rolls for our main and sangria to wash it all down with.
Everything we had was excellent and would definitely recommend it. Great staff with great food.

We were passing through the area and found the Sandbar for our lunch stop. We were quite pleased. I had the lobster roll and my wife had the haddock sandwich. We were both very pleased with our choices.

Even better was our service. Our waitress was very welcoming and friendly and kept checking back to be sure we were pleased. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good place to grad a bite.

Woooow. This place is a must. Beautiful view from outside and huge restaurant with lots of variety. Great service. They are very kind and the food was delicious

Beauty of a spot, glad we checked out the area but food was bad. Fish tacos were soso and chicken club tasted like the meat was off. We're def not complainers but it was so bad I felt like I had to tell the waitress and she did nothing about it and brought us our $80 bill. Will never go back to this restaurant again.

Food service is a bit slow. Waitress is somehow careless; water pour over on our kids. Food quality is good, $3 for parking. Patio seating is available.

The Sandbar is the perfect place to taste delicious seafood while enjoying a beautiful sunset on the waterfront patio. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are always refreshing. I particularly recommend trying their mussels or fish tacos.

Nice seaside restaurant with great views and awesome fish and chips. They don't seem to serve coffee though, which is both odd and unique.

Awesome seafood chowder! The best I have ever had! Loaded with fresh seafood. Cute atmosphere right on the harbor with views of the boats. Also had hand cut salt and pepper fries with gravy, delicious!

Great stop! Views are awsome from both sides and they have lots of seating options (indoor / outdoor, sun or shade). You have to pay 3 to get onto the island but we'll worth it. Food was good (mussels are a must!) + service was great.
