Scoodic Motel

This was everything we needed for an overnight on our 27 day road trip! Confortable, clean, and cat friendly! The room was small, but we did not need anything more than a bed and a bathroom. We would definately stay again if ever back in the area!

Check in was easy, and the man who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the price was fair. Our only complaint was that the bed was terribly uncomfortable! A big deal for most people.

The perfect solution for on the road to US. Clean as a whistle, affordable, quiet, efficient and friendly service (I think from the owner, who even walked me to the room and reviewed the ammenities). Very close to downtown (where I found a fabulous concert on the bandstand) and the border. A great find.

Lovely overnight stay on our road-trip this week. Clean, tastefully updated rooms with all your basic amenities. Manager was polite, respectful and helped us get settled right away.

Perfectly quiet and peaceful retreat after a hectic day of travel. Decent wifi, hot shower, comfy beds. What else could you ask for:)

The room and bathroom were recently updated so it was clean and modern. The room was small. Bed/pillows were acceptable. Management was polite and courteous.
No coffee maker. Hard to believe really. They do offer coffee but that starts at 8AM so if your an early riser, well…
Biggest complaint was the smell of the water. It was putrid and quite frankly, disgusting and that ruined it for me. I also ran out of water during my morning shower so had to cut it short. Not sure I’d stay again - only because of the water situation.

Great affordable spot. Water has oder but not horrible. Rooms are clean and for the price you can't beat it.

I rarely post public reviews, but I think I ought to. This is the best motel I have ever stayed at. I typically have trouble sleeping, and am very sensitive to my sleeping environment; I expect to have trouble sleeping at any motel. This place didn't have any weird smells, weird noises, or other sleeping distractions! The linens are comfortable and not scratchy or plasticy. The windows were open on arrival, and the air was fresh in the room. There was no vacancy when I stayed, but the evening was so quiet I could barely tell there were other people here. 10/10 would stay again.

We spent 2 nights here when we went to St Andrews, which was about 20mins away. The room we got was newly renovated and a decent size.

Excellent rooms, very nice staff. No breakfast, but that's okay, the room is great value. I highly recommend this quiet gem.

Great price and very close to the border. The gentleman in the office went above and beyond, coordinating with me and going out of his way to accommodate my late arrival. Will stay again

This is a 2 star motel on Rte 170, with great hosts, service and cleanliness. No ice machine, but host was accommodating and brought us ice. Coffee is served in the lobby. Not sure there was food, but I didn't ask. Location is convenient to St. Stephens river. Check out the Picaroon Brewery at the 5 Kings Restaurant downtown. Right next to the Civic Center.

Was a terrible experience. The owner only refunded $60 office closed earlier and did not open until 9am. Septic tank was overful terrible smell, left with headache and nausea. We should have received a full refund not a stun look on the owner's face and played dumb then said yeah it was the septic tank and I guess the guy didn't clean it last year properly.
