Skipper Jack's Maritime Restaurant

Ordered the skipper clam plate I wanted clams cooked more n they were not I couldn’t eat the fries as they were old n look like burnt or left over from before had to throw out all the fries were not eatable n there was like only maybe 10 fries under the clams, was not impressed at all.

Delicious! Fried clams are the best! Lobster roll is to die for and the seafood chowder is FULL of seafood. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. My husband had a burger and it was awesome as well! We shared carrot cake for dessert and it was also 10/10. Go…. You won’t be disappointed!

The food is awesome, as always. The expanded dining area is seamless in the decore! The servers are, almost universally, plesant and accommodating. The kit hen made a small error and that error was comped, given to us, and fixed in no time. Always a plesant experience here!

I have been told several times how good their fish and chips are so yesterday I decided to go and try for myself. I couldn’t decide between the old English style or crispy style so I got both. I would still have a hard time choosing between them because they were both so good! However if I had to lean towards one it would probably be the old English. I think next time I will just get both again. I highly recommend the food here. My wife had the chicken burger which she said was really good as well.

We went during an incredibly busy time, but the server was friendly, and our fish & chips were as good as they always are.

A great place for seafood. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Taco Tuesday- fish tacos are amazing, and their onion rings are one of the best in town. You can never go wrong with their fish and chips. 2 piece is a large portion. But trust me, you'll eat it all!

Restaurant was very clean, staff that we interacted with were super friendly and I can not say enough about how delicious the food was! Portions were huge.

So as always skipper jacks was always our place to go until today, it’s very unfortunate that I got a good size shell caught in my throat. I panicked, got it out. The waitress came, showed her the shell she brought up the manager Irene took off 2.00 of my seafood chowder, to me that was a slap in the face I was not looking for a discount of any sort was looking for an apology, but couldn’t even get that. She took off immediately, I was given a bill with two dollars taken off my soup and that was that! Thanks Irene I wouldn’t recommend you to manage an out house!

We discovered Skipper Jack’s last year and come back again on our way to PEI this year. Food is amazing, portions are huge! Great place for someone who’s craving for fresh and delicious seafood. There are salad options for sides too, so it’s not only fries which is awesome. There are a lot of deep fried meals served, but you can also go for healthier meals like lobster roll, lobster melt or seafood chowder. Plus many many more: scallops, mussels, salmon you name it!

We did eat at this restaurant and the food was amazingly good!
Even before we had a table.this places was packet at 2.00pm. Me and the wife had a (shared) mix fish platter and each a fish taco.damn was that ever good and tasteful.
Our waitress (from ON) did a fantastic job and knew where she was talking about and had a great sense of humor too.

People, you need to try this place out.and prices are great.you can't go wrong at this place.fish for young and old!

Recommended to us by a friend, not a disappointment, friendly staff and great conversations almost like at home. Food was amazing portions were ample. The carrot cake was the best, definitely home made a yummy decision

Always fresh and amazingly delicious. I am huge on seafood, and this is some of the best around. I have, on more than one occasion, taken the drive from Saint John to Moncton JUST for this meal and then traveled home.

Wow, from when we walked in the gal at the counter (I didn’t get her name) was all over it. We ordered 3 -2 piece fish and chips and a mixed platter. So good so fresh and very reasonable prices.

Fantastic service, large portions, reasonable prices, fast service and courteous friendly staff. I will be purchasing more delicious meals at Skipper Jack's and it will be perfect weather for eating out.

Came for dinner with my husband. He had the seafood chowder and fried clams. They were to die for! I had the shrimp and scallops also amazing! Friendly and fast service from our friend Karen so glad we made the trip.

Maybe it was just the day they were having buy the server was absent most of the time. We asked for extra napkins and just never got them. By the time we had a chance to tell her, we had already finished our meals. Food was good.

Ordered fish n' chips with calamari. The fish was great and the calamari was my favorite, I definitely recommend it but can be very busy at times

This place gets super busy but after having eaten there I understand why. Food was absolutely delicious and the prices were super fair. Definitely recommend!

Scallops were excellent. Shrimp was decent. Good service. Confused why they didn’t let me bring my water bottle in.

Service spot on other than that everything horrible I was there 6 months ago and everything was amazing. I don't know whether it's under new management or what but this time out was just horrible the calamari were soggy the lobster rolls had barely any lobster in it and the clams half of them were empty and everything super over priced. Just horrible avoid ay all cost in my opinion.

I wasn't impressed with their mussels. It had no flavor. And they don't even give you a piece of bread to soak up the sauce.

Went to have supper busy for a Tuesday night waited 25 mins for a seat but then waited 65 mins for are meal that's crazy I ordered scallops and a friend ordered fish after waiting 55 mins I asked the waitress she said they had to make a new batch of fish I said to my friend watch my scallops be cold sure enough she had fresh fish after waiting 65 min but mine was cold not happy

Great selection, delicious food. Wait times for dining in can be a bit long during peak hours but it's worth the wait!

Skipper Jack's is amazing! The food is super delicious and fresh. The service is great, and the staff are so friendly. We went to celebrate my little brother's birthday, and they brought him a strawberry shortcake made especially for him. I would definitely recommend!

The food was so flippin good, and the staff was very friendly. They have an amazing menu. I recommend multiple visits to try as much as possible.

Two pieces halibut and chips was $52 lol so we went with the haddock. Very disappointed and food is over rated. Too much batter which was mushy inside so not properly cooked through. Very little actual fish for $25. Not even the fries or coleslaw were any good!

Came here for a whole lobster but wasn’t available at the time. Settled for lobster roll and fried fish. The lobster roll was very good. The fried fish was good but bit too greasy for my liking. Service was very good. The lady was very nice and attentive.

Prompt and friendly service. DELICIOUS food which is cooked to perfection. Even though much of the food is deep fried, it is not greasy at all. They know how to properly deep fry food and obviously change the oil frequently.

Loved the 1 piece fish that I ordered. It was a very large piece, delicious, and the fries were cooked just right.but. I was very sad to see that the coleslaw had changed and not for the better. You shouldn't try to fix perfection or save money by using inferior products. I know of other people that feel the same. Hope you go back to the old coleslaw recipe cause this one was very disappointing.

Was really craving fish and chips, so me and my boyfriend decided to stop in for supper. I got the 2 piece fish with mash potatoes and my boyfriend got the cheeseburger poutine. Boyfriend really like his food and the fish was cook to perfection. Although I was really disappointed in the mash potatoes, tasted like box instant potatoes and very gritty. If I would of known I would of just went with fries instead. A big miss for them their and most likely won’t be back because of it. Something more fresh would of been nice for the price of the meal we paid. Service was very friendly and fast.

First time ever ordering from skippers and I need to say it's the absolute best fried seafood in Moncton. Ordered a ship's ahoy platter and 3oz of clams, both were hot and cooked perfectly. Definitely will be giving them my money again in the future.

So I’ve just moved from Ontario to New Brunswick and I had asked the realtor where is the best place for Seafood. He told me Skipper Jacks is where most locals go. My father had come with me on the trip here and he loves good seafood. So of course I knew where I was going to take him. #1 If it’s busy, wait, and wait some more. It is worth it! #2 You’re going to love it. #3 I haven’t eaten fish or any meat in almost 5 years. However I figured I’m in the Maritimes now… well I can’t d ok anything but try and tell you how amazing the food was and how happy I was I picked Skipper Jacks to begin having fish again. Nova Scotia Halibut to be exact.
However I just need you all to know, this is the best seafood I’ve ever had. (And no it wasn’t just because well now I’m eating it again) The freshness is real and makes the difference, the Tartar sauce made in house and the coleslaw that I had heard about in the reviews. Well it exceeded any expectations. I know, coleslaw why focus on such a small part? Well because it truly was incredible. So from now on when I want the best this is where I’ll be going to eat in or take out. I should also mention the white haired Gentleman who from other reviewers comments may be Bob? Well he greeted us and assured us that we’d get a table soon and made sure we were well looked after. Our servers were also amazing. Can I say amazing and perfect and delicious and wow more then once in a single review? I will be coming back again and again and bringing every family member and friend that comes to visit here. Truly of your craving great seafood and want to know it’s fresh and local this is where you need to visit.

Really good value for what you get. Generous portions, variety of menu items, and everything was amazing. My kids raved about the chowder and pretzel battered fish. Excellent wait staff, don't forget to tip to support a great restaurant and staff.

Soooo good.it is a must eat.service is fast and friendly and the food is fanomanal.the homemade tartar sauce is some of the best I've ever had and if you go you need to get the seafood chowder! Every bite was filled with lobster, scallops, fish, or shrimp.would recommend 10/10

The best poutine out of Quebec I've ever had, the fish and chips was just as delicious. So much so that I wished I was staying longer near by to try more of the menu.

The menu is one of the better ones I've seen, great selection and value for what you pay. It was packed in there and mostly New Brunswick license plates, so if the locals go it's gotta be good.

Went in for the NS Halibut fish n chips. Man it was good. Nice piece of fish, chips were tasty, and they had traditional malt vinegar. To top it all off, a Newfoundland Black Horse beer!
I'll be back for sure.
