Sobeys Brookside Mall

The staff are extremely nice but the products in the store are almost always near their expiry date. The worst is the meat section, the butchers never seem to remove the expired meat, sometimes when I buy meat it looks great, but it doesn’t taste that great and should have been thrown out long ago.

The store offers a wide variety of fresh produce and products, easy access to shopping baskets and carts around the store with a good customer service. Wheelchair accessible parking and store entrance.
The produce quality is well above average and is similar to that offered at nearby stores. Unless you are looking for a deal, the price of the products is quite similar as well.
At the end of the day it really comes down to location, personal preference and weekly deals.

A similar experience to the Sobeys of comparable size on the south side in Regent Street.

It has most of the things you would need in the run of a day. The international sections also continue to grow over the years and I was excited to see Lao Gan Ma (老干妈) hot chili oils. Like the Regent Street location, the outside is quite old, but bright inside.

Great place freindly service been shopping here for 15 years. But recently there security guard needs to watch the thieves an bot be harassing the hard working people that are in there spending money.

I was there today spent 281.00 plus for groceries but forgot to tell cashier I wanted the fuel voucher after she totalled it I ask about the voucher she said I was too late. I left the store and called from the parking lot and was told I could get the voucher but only could do it once so I went back in and within seconds had my voucher thank you so much.
I find the staff at this store very friendly and helpful thank you.

I just called there 3 times within the last 45 minutes. There are no options for different depts and only choice was to "stay on the line". The phone rang and rang and rang. No answer anytime I called. I can see someone might step away or be busy but for 45 minutes? The phone line should definitely transfer to another phone or give an option to dial some other number if it rings more than 10 x's because that's how many I counted when I called. With gas prices skyrocking, more and more people like myself are calling to see if the store can take a special cake order or if they have fresh fish in stock or do they carry a specialty item I need? Guess no one will be frequenting this location if no one is working customer service.guess that really means there is NO customer service. Gee wonder how long this location will stay in business.

Kathy one of the front end cashiers made our experience wonderful. She was very talkative, pleasant and knowledgeable on the products in store. One of the nicest customer service interactions I’ve had in a while!
