Sophia & Spritz

I was very impressed with how it looked. Service was great, but was not happy with the menu or how the food was.was not good. Also, also very expensive.

Service was great. Fast and our server was Chris (black moustache and glasses.)
Food was served hot and tasty.
Pork chop was fantastic.
I would recommend to friends and definitely return.

Each time we visit, the experience worsens. The food is not terrible but consistently sub par for sure. While service is friendly, it is far from attentive with considerable wait times and causes increased frustration to say the least.
Generally the overall experience on this our last visit was far and away the most disappointing. The restaurant was not busy either so save your excuses.

Some of the food was good the other was ok. It was very busy when we went wixh make the place very loud, I had a hard time earing what the person sitting in front of me was saying. The server was nice, but it was so busy that it took a long time before our order was taken and we waited a long time before being served. We stayed a total of 3 hours, that was mostly waiting time. I believe it can be a very nice place on a less busy day or more staffed day. The server was very nice and took good care of us

I wen’t to Sophia & Spritz with a group of around 10 people, food was great, service was great and every single one of us loved our experience. HUGE shout out to our amazing waitress Sarah for being extremely friendly, sweet and patient with our group. This queen deserves a raise!

They have many options for alcohol - wine, cocktails, beers. The food is amazing. The mushroom risotto is the star - very savory. We also ordered the chicken cacciatora and the roasted beef short ribs, both were really good. I’m surprised how juicy the chicken was! Our son also enjoyed his meal and even shared the mussels. Overall, it was great!

It was our anniversary & we were looking for a place to stay & eat. We stayed at the Sheraton 4 Points and dined at Sophia & Spritz. I'm celiac, and finding a place that can cater to my allergy can be difficult. Our server was Christopher & he was knowledgeable in regards to my allegy, the menu & the wines. He went above and beyond what I would consider the norm in this industry. We had the roasted short rib & it was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend & looking forward to our next visit there.

Restaurant is extremely well designed. Classy and elegant. Kitchen exposed (reminds me of Hell's Kitchen without the yelling) The cooks/Chefs are clearly working well together.

Was alone, asked hostess for quiet spot as it was quite loud. People clearly enjoying themselves which was a great ambiance Found a quiet corner booth area.

Waiter (Christian) very comfortable with the menu. Was personable and enthusiastic about the food.

Love the utensils, plates, napkins and overall chairs/tables. Comfortable, high end.

First Act (appetizers) chosen was Scallops. 18$ received 3 of them in a very artistic display of colors. Appetizing to the eye! It took 7 mins from the time of order to receive. It was different from the usual garlicky seafood taste scallops are usually followed by. Puree was delicious. A bit of an earthy taste.like potato/pumpkin mix. Pine nuts gave it texture even more.

Second Act (Entree) I took the Ragu Di Pappardelle 23$ which is essentially a mix of various meats atop homemade pasta with a beefy cream sauce. Reminded me of a "Sipâtes" my family makes every year for the holidays. The dish would have been perfect had it not been rushed. It took 2 mins after I was done with the Appetizer for this to come out. It's as if it was waiting for someone to order it. It looked a bit thrown together in the bowl and the pasta was "mushy" which was overcooked. But for the price, the portion was huge and this was a Filling Meal.

I was too full for Act 3 which was a final entree so I opted for desert instead. The chocolate mousse dome for 12$. Being a big fan of chocolate, my hope was for this desert to impress! AND IT DID! It was delicious! The portion was appropriate for the price. It looked AMAZING and I could tell it wasn't pre-assembled. Now THAT felt gastronomic. I was too full to.finish it off but wowzers!

A Cappuccino or Esspresso would've been nice to top that off but I guess they don't have one. YET. Maybe next time I'm down and bring MY ENTIRE FAMILY they'll surprise us!

Overall I'd give this meal a 4.6/5. It wasn't bad enough to warrant 1 star off! Service and staff is top notch.

Italian is my favorite type of food. I'll be back!

Great dinner last night! It reminds me of La Fresca in Halifax, but even better. Excellent service, food was delicious. So great to have this option in Moncton. My new fav place.

The Sophia&Spritz name embodied class and elegance to me. I was very excited to go and the decor delivered on that front. Guests however did not feel the same as I did (showing up and sweatshirt and tshirts) but that isn't the restaurant's fault. It did however cheapen the experience. On another positive note, I appreciated that I could reserve a table online ahead of time and the service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed our charcuterie board, albeit weird that there was chips and fancy "balogna" on it for such a chic place. Our meals however, ouch. Not a good experience. The carne and polenta I think it's called was edible, but not worth it.just basic food for an exhorbitant price. The second meal we ordered was the prawn linguine with breadcrumb. It was by far the worst meal I have had in a restaurant. Everything tasted good, but unfortunately, breadcrumbs do not belong on pasta, at least not the 1/2cup that was there. It felt like I was eating poprocks with my linguine and the experience was not pleasant. We were so disappointed with our meals that we did not get dessert and got donuts from Superstore for a fraction of the price (and much better taste). We unfortunately will not be going back.

Edit: after seeing picture, the breadcrumbs were burnt and thee was more than what was called for. Whoever was cooking that night messed up bad and made us not want to go back.

The food was amazing! My friends and I split the scallops and tuna tartar as an app and both were delicious! For my main I had the Ragout and it was incredible. We were out celebrating one of our friends and our server Erin went out of her way to make our night memorable! The entire staff seem genuinely happy and excited to be there!

Well the place is beautiful. It's big but still cozy. The drinks are really good. But that's it! We took the burrata witch was good, but not exceptional. And then the tuna tartare, it was boring, no taste, not seasoned at all. The ragu parpadelle was the only really good dish, full of flavour. The gnocchis was terrible, overcooked, no taste except the lemon cream, and that cream tasted like something you'll put on a dessert. Disgusting! I felt like they have no idea about salt and pepper. And please taste your food before you serve them. Also, I felt rushed! We received our appetizers 5 min after we had our cocktail. I was expecting to drink the cocktail before the food. And we received the main course when we where not done with our appetizers! Server came to see if we wanted something else to drink when we where almost done! So we where expecting to spend a good 2h and maybe more there drinking and eating, but 55 min later we where done and out! Where we at St-Hubert? I'll never go again

Great food, excellent service; such a nice thing they even have non-alcohol cocktails that taste like adult drinks.

The place was packed we lucked out on a reservation for 4 on a Saturday night. It was very noisy as a result. The food was very good, the cocktails were interesting.they were a twists on classic versions, appetizers were good. Entrees were Very good.the desserts most excellent. Service however was touch and go. Most staff in the restaurant we’re hustling, I know there’s a challenge with finding sufficient staff in the hospitality in the industry.our server was off to a great start, attentive and friendly but a bit too familiar from the get go, and as the experience progressed-we had to wait repeatedly for the next step, ordering-additional cocktails, requesting a dessert menu twice. Longer waits for food. Forgivable given how busy it was but less forgivable as I watch our server “chatting”with other tables. I will take fast efficient service over chit chat overly familiar anytime. Suffice to say her tip started well but deteriorated as the evening progressed. Dinner out with 2 friends should not take almost 3 hours no matter how busy the restaurant given this rather$$ experience.decor is lovely but atmosphere very difficult to appreciate with a full house. It was very noisy. Fairly certain we won’t be returning.

Loved the atmosphere, gorgeous place! But, the food was extremely mediocre, some at our table couldn’t even finish it. Specifically the tagliatelle (may not be correct spelling). One of the only veg options but extremely dry, tasted days old and had burnt veggies. Menu is extremely unclear on what you’re actually ordering too… Mixed drinks were good!

Great atmosphere. Restaurant is beautiful and staff is incredibly friendly. Food and drinks was delicious. Will definitely be back for another date night.

Heard a review on 91.9 The Bend on my way home from work and decided to check it out that night. Great atmosphere, friendly wait staff, good food, and large wine list. Must try the mozza balls!

Magnifique ambiance feutrée; repas délicieux. J’ai adoré l’aubergine farcie. Le short rib était cuit à la perfection. Ma conjointe a pris le risotto aux champignons et la trouve succulent. Le service était impeccable. Nous avons passé une très belle soirée en famille. Je le recommande.

We had an amazing time tonight at Sophia and Spritz. The atmosphere and experience was the best I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Nicole made amazing suggestions on the menu and takes pride ensuring her guests feel comfortable. She’s knows the menu in great detail and really had a great way of describing the different items. This is definitely our new place to go.

First off id recommend this restaurant to anyone, the food was out of this world and the service provided by Nicole was top notch. Im not sure where in the world they trained the staff but their professionals at everything they do. Will be back!

The cocktails, dessert and service were 5/5, but the appetizer and main course were 3/5. We had a reservation but got place on a tiny table next to the wall, where I personally think there's shouldn't be a table there. My friend took the gnocchi, which she tought were dry, and a small portion. I took the salmon which was good, but the scallopped potatoes were just so dry and kind of an odd pairing. Nothing except the dessert was mind blowing good. I couldve spent this money in a other restaurant and have better food. Not worth the hype for me.

This place is incredible - the atmosphere and cocktails are fantastic but the food is absolutely spectacular. The lamb and short rib were served by the chef himself and were some of the best meals we have ever had. Cannot say enough about this place!

Sophia and Spritz was pretty nice the staff was very kind and our water was great, but I have to say, the food wasn’t there for me. To be honest Is was good food but it wasn’t worth the price. Except for the appetizers those where amazing! All for all it was a good experience but our main courses weren’t quite what we’d expect, especially the fried chicken, do not order it unless you are under the age of twelve because it really looked like a kids meal.

Amazing food, amazing flavors, absolutely delicious cocktails, friendly and attentive staff, and just an overall beautiful evening at this restaurant! The waitress was an absolute pleasure (thanks Rebecca!), and everyone who came by our table was just a pleasure! Thank you for the wonderful evening out!

Best restaurant in Moncton!
The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, cozy and romantic. The service is exceptional, my server was very knowledgeable and polite and checked in many times throughout my meal. The cocktails are extremely well priced in comparison to other restaurants. The bartender clearly had a passion for their craft and it shows.

My dining experience consisted of the scallops to start which were seared to perfection, well seasoned and the portion size is perfect. The halibut dish is a wonderful portion, it’s a beautiful warm fall dish. The desserts are beautifully made and decadent.
Will certainly be back! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
