Most friendly staff that go out of their way to make your stay and visit something to remember!

Stopped in Saint John on the way to Fundy, and I got the two-piece fish and chips. It was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised at the generous portion size of the fish!

The only reason I’m rating it only four stars is because the service was a bit impolite. I guess we all have bad days.

The lobster town is amazing.
Just steam with salt but the atmosphere is great & the seafood is fresh!

This place was recommended by our host and although the seafood chowder was OK, it wasn’t really seafood chowder. It was more like a basic clam chowder. However, the scallops were a different story. They were bacon wrapped, but they were deep fried. That’s an insult to scallops. We weren’t told upfront and no where on the menu does it say deep-fried. Disgusting! Service was terrible. There were only three tables in there at the time but service was very slow and because we had questions we felt like we were imposing on the waitress. She quickly grabbed the menus and took off even when we had questions. Won’t recommend this to anyone.

We drove by the place and I remember thinking "what a dump". We parked and started googling places to have some decent seafood. This place was one of them and had just opened for the day. The reviews were great so we gave it a chance. No regrets, the food was great and the service was friendly. Next time we're in town, we'll be hitting this place up again.

Edit: Came back 6 years later since last vacation. Food is still top notch. The fries are remarkable. Seasoned to perfection. The fish and scallops were cooked expertly. Such good food. It's worth the price.
But the service we got. My God was it horrendous. Waitress was giving us attitude, never brought us cutlery, and straight up ignored requests. My dad had asked for beer in a bottle. Waitress pointed to a card on the table and turned it towards him. Said "Bottled beer". He ordered one and she brought a can. She laughed at us when we said our bills would be combined with our partners. She was terrible. Almost ruined the evening if it wasn't for the food.

Leaving a 3 because my friends really liked the seafood platter that they had, and the service was GREAT, but I otherwise probably would have 2 starred it.

I got the Captains Feast, which ran for 75$, which came with a little bit of everything (which Helped a lot bc I am indecisive!)

The scallops were SMALL, although the fish itself was flavourful, the pan seared scallops were lacking any real searing on the outside. The shrimps tasted really good, but again were small for how much they costed.

The salmon was good, decently cooked but nothing to write home about, and the lobster tail was small and pretty bland. Fortunately the butter they served it with tasted quite good! Seemed to have a little garlic butter situation goin on:)

And yeah. For 75$, I was really disappointed. You can get some of the cheaper platters, like the fishermans platter, running for 38$. My friends particularity liked the fried clams!

Probably would not come back here, except maybe to try the mussels, steamed clams (steamers), or the deep fried clams.

Excellent wait staff. Had to return oysters due to shells, they brought out 6 more and had me try them to make sure they were ok. The bacon wrapped scallops were amazing. Little details could be improved in preparation of food such as some corn silk left on corn. The corn itself was very yummy. Very accommodating to dogs on the patio, brought the pup some water and said hello to her. Location is right next to all the action.

My son and his wife first ate here 6 years ago and couldn't wait to share this treasure with us. He's right.the place doesn't look like much when you first come across it. The inside, however, is loaded with character. There's also a place to eat outside but opted to stay in because of the atmosphere.

The family ordered a variety of dishes and appetizers.lobster rolls, mussels, shrimp cocktail, poached salmon, and I had the fish & chips. The fish was lightly battered and turned out the be best best of our 2 week stay in NB, NS, & PEI. Everyone enjoyed the french fries which were perfectly seasoned. All meals were piping hot and fully enjoyed. We'll definitely eat here again. Drinks were equally enjoyable. No room for dessert. Maybe next time.

Unfortunately, our server did not make us feel warm and fuzzy and points were lost there. Trying to make your customers look foolish is not a thing. We should have cutlery without asking. If one asks for beer in a bottle, don't bring a can. Her tone almost cast a dark shadow on our night. We just couldn't believe our ears everytime she spoke. My son and his wife assure us this isn't how it went 6 years ago.

Up side.clean bathrooms and parking out back.

5 stars for food and service!
It was one of the best fish and chips we had in Saint John! Huge quantity and freshness without any doubt! Also, do try their chocolate eruption cheesecake for sweet tooth cravings.

Clamp chowder tasted great until I found what seemed like fishing line in, waitress was prompt to deal with it, the cook came over to apologize and offered another bowl of it (no thanks). Other than that the rest of the dinner was good and tasty

We tried their seafood platter (fried). Honestly, we didn't like it. The taste was bland, and everything tasted the same. Service and ambiance were good!

The seafood chowder tasted amazing but the texture was quite awful. It had a film on the top, I'm guessing it was microwaved

Staff was great. Pet friendly patio. Food was fantastic and if you time it right there is live music across the street.

Server was amazing. She definitely went the extra mile. Lobster, calamari and coconut cheesecake was great.

Fish and chips were not great but the mussels and lobster were amazing.same with the chicken fingers and fries

Food was decent, However service was awful and and the waitress was very condescending and rude. (not explaining menu option/choices properly, not communicating or even know the menu herself) will not be going back due to these issues and a very unwelcoming atmosphere.

Excellent choice we made! Flavorful and fresh seafood with great prices. Great tasting dishes served with the best service. Our server was not only great with her menu but also gave us tips for the things to see in the city and around

Ordered their shore dinner for two, including two cups either clams or seafood chowders, a bucket mussels, and two lobsters. The chowders were about average. The mussels were fresh. The lobsters were very good, full roe and meaty. They sweet and delicious. The service was nice. The place was decorated interesting, we were sitting at the captain's corner.
