I had 4 winter tires installed on brand new rims for my 2020 Chev, Silverado, 2500HD. I purchased the tires next door at another shop that just sells tires and does not install them. I thought the convenience of having this shop install the tires would help me. They quickly installed the tires, installed 4 new tpms, balanced the wheels, and loaded the wheels on my truck. When I arrived home in Halifax I found a large deep scratch on one of the new rims with many small scratches. The large deep scratch looks like a tool slipped from the edge down the rim from installing the tire. Furthermore, I found one of the new balancing weights on the ground where I unloaded the wheels. After inspecting all of the wheels I found all of the balancing weights not securely attached to the wheels. This is from either not cleaning the surface of the inner rim properly or from not firmly pressing the weight on the rim to adhere sufficiently to the surface or both. I have emailed the shop to see what they will do for me. I will like to get the rim repaired and I will need to get all wheels rebalanced. I thought by having this done at this shop would be convenient and save me time-now I need to visit another tire shop to get more work done from it not being done properly the first time. I await a reply from the tire shop and will update this post accordingly.

Update (Oct 16) :

The shop refunded most of my cost. They recognized the problem and said they are working on quality control. I also recognize the problems in operating a tire shop and hope they are able to mitigate problems like this from happening. The deep scratch on the rim may not be easily repaired and I'll need to take all 4 wheels into another tire shop in Halifax to have them rebalanced. This was a stop for service out of convince to save time; however, it has caused me more work. Although, I do give credit to the tire shop for recognizing the problem and making an effort to make things right.

We were in a serious pickle, 2 busted tires on the highway. Steve’s tires was there for us, couldn’t thank them and their staff enough. They were polite and quick. Very helpful. We will be recommending them to everyone.

Super friendly and down to earth staff! Awesome prices and service! My daughter and I were there yesterday and it was more kid friendly and interactive than any kids places I’ve ever taken my daughter to! Personal tour with tons of engagement for the little one to participate in and my personal fav- the old school Ms. Pac-Man arcade game with all the classics on it! Such a cool experience! My daughter asked if we could go back just for a visit lol

Great service, managed to get me in quickly when I had bad tires and prices were quite reasonable with install and taxes included.

Called steve's tire in the morning because I hit a pothole yesterday and got a flat. The lady ordered a full set of new tires, got them in around 12pm and told me to be there for 1pm. I arrived, tires were already there and Billy got right at it. Clean and fast job, as always. I called around and no one could beat the price they offered me. Best place to buy tires and get them installed.

Very fairly priced, good work done at a reasonable pace. Very friendly workers and if you bring your kids they'll show then around the yard and tell them how everything works. Real great place and I can't see myself going anywhere else for my tires.
