Knowledgeable staff. Great selection from chart toppers to obscure indie books. Always tends to be a sale on something. Great selection of previously loved graphic novels.

Not quite as large or well-stocked as the Halifax location, but they do have a nice variety of books and games if you're looking for a gift for yourself or a friend. Manga and comics are a bit disorganized and volumes are pretty random (don't expect to pick up a full run of vol 1-20 of something).

Staff can be a little quiet, but that's not unexpected at a nerdy shop.

Worth stopping by if you're in the area and on the lookout for something to add to a collection.

Great location, great window display. Aside from one or two employees, the staff can come off as pretentious and sometimes makes me decide to just not bother going in when I’m in town. As others have pointed out in other reviews, staff can be EXTREMELY pushy. My wife, who is not a collector or reader of comics, was nice enough to join me in the shop one day and despite very politely explaining she’s only here because I was looking for something, was hounded to try a comic series that “even women would like” and that comics aren’t all silly super hero stuff. My wife being the kind soul she is thanked them but explained again she’s not really interested in purchasing something but the staff member continued hounding her with recommendations and tried leading her around the store. Another time a member of the staff was irritated because I asked if they had a comic book (roughly valued at $150) in stock and they said no but had a trade paperback. I politely said it was okay and I only collect single issues. The staff member scoffed and gave me a lecture about how comics are meant to be read and not just collected. Bold move from a guy working in a shop that sells…COLLECTIBLES!

Love this place. Filled from floor to ceiling with varied entertaining books, games and figurines.
Spending roughly 3/4's of an hour there, before being called out by my lovely wife, I'd only made it about 1/2 way through. I was easily able to spend $70 or so on a variety of graphic novels.
One set of books only had 2 of 3 sets in store. The attendant even went so far as to check a couple places in store for the missing one. Not finding it, they even offered to get the missing book brought in for me. Since my wife and I are in the midst of relocating, I held off on their offer. Perhaps in future, once we've settled.
Love this place and the care shown by the two people running it while I was in their store.
I will definately be back.

If you have been to Strange adventures in the past (a couple years ago) and found the staff to be rude and almost anoyed have to make a sail, this has changed. The staff is now pleasant helpful and knowledgeable. Great comic and graphic novel selection a small collectable and rpg selection.

Friendly staff always willing to help, only dislike is their lack of parking but that's a city issue not on them.

WONDERFUL selection of books and very helpful staff. Went in with my boyfriend dressed as a fairy and was met with nothing but kindness. 10/10

A great little shop of curiosities. They currently only allow 1 bubble in at a time due to safety concerns. The line can be long, but necessary as the aisles are narrow. That said, the wait was worth it. They have your standard comics, but also a few random collectibles that will pique the curiosity of those who also enjoy the realm of comic/movie collectibles.

I was very disappointed by how I was treated by staff here on the weekend. My boyfriend and I went in to look at a board game and the staff member proceeded to tell me how they don’t have “just superhero nerd stuff here” and began to refer me to the comic section that is based on “classic literature. ”
He then told me that they try to have something for everyone, even “for someone like you. ” Now I don’t know if it’s because generally a lot of women do not shop here, but I felt very prejudged and was hurt by the fact that the staff member only thought I would be interested in classic literature without even asking me what I liked. He then recommended a “quick and simple” game that he and his wife enjoy (again while we were clearly looking at something else and we’re not interested).
I was very upset when I left and I will not be returning.

Great local shop for all comic and game related products. New covid hours 1 customer at a time.

This Little Slice if Fantasy Land Is Amazing, A Comic Book Lovers Dream Come True, Jason Was Very Helpful & Informative. I Will Definitely Be A Regular Visitor At This Fine Home Grown Establishment. Definitely Worth A Visit.

I have loved this shop for years. It's too bad I don't live in Fredericton anymore but I still drop in to Strange every time I come home for a visit.

Spectacular, inclusive, welcoming space. HUGE selection, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I'm not particularly well read in the comic world (mostly GNs by Neil Gaiman or the occasional Lenore or Tank Girl) and they have never, ever, made me feel anything less than welcome and appreciated. They're also SO lbgtqia2s+ welcoming, and women friendly (even a womens comic day for femmes only so the less comfortable of us can shop anxiety free!). Highly reccomend this east coast born and owned small business!

Being new to Fredericton, I am glad to find this awesome comic book store! It indeed was a strange adventurous awesome visit to this store.

Lots of choices! Although they must have alot of theft or have very suspicious employees lol always somebody's eyes on ya and I kinda felt weird about touching anything. Other than that they have a great selection or games, tabletop stuff, comic books and lots of statuettes.
