A real, hometown diner feel in the city. The food is excellent. They do not deep fry any items on the menu. The bread is homemade, the pancakes are massive, and the coffee is hot, fresh, and delicious. OH and the baked beans! Tastes just like Grandmas! Delicious. The ladies here are so sweet and know what they’re doing! Not much of an ambiance, the layout and decor have been the exact same since I was a child. It’s not fancy at all, so if you’re looking for upscale, this isn’t it. This is just a solid, home cooked feed cooked and served by the sweetest ‘ol gals!
An absolutely gorgeous little mom and pop place. The server was very friendly, kind, and attentive. No candlelight, but a 60s dinner vibe that is authentic
Standard diner. It seemed a bit chaotic today which lead to slow. Standard breakfast although having some turkey or chicken sausages would be a nice change.
Stuck in time. It's that old Mom and Pop place where Mom and Pop still work there. Hand written bills, grab a pop yourself if you can't decide. Prices are stuck in time too.
Let me be clear, food is good, service good, portions small, as is the prices.
If you want a massive plate of food that you can't finish for three times the price, This is not your place.
My eggs were half cooked half not, the bacon was good but my fiancés pancakes were burnt, then my home fries were burnt and not cooked in some places, not the best place for breakfast but it’s alright!
This clean and busy diner is busy with locals. But there were still seats available at 9: 30 on a week day. The special was ample portion to feed anyone. Service was quick and food was hot and tasty! We like the vibes here. Big group or small they do it all!
Very disappointed with the speed of service. I will give some credit with only having 4 staff working on busy Sunday but they over crowded the restaurant before people even gotten thier food we have wait 40-60 mins after we had ordered.also our oder was wrong was never asked how we wanted our eggs.not guarantee we won't be back.as brought it up to cashier but she came back with "well no one perfect". We didn't not stay to eat our order as said would be a bit before correction of the orders.sunshine diner Stars are falling
Homemade bread and home fries, King Cole tea, friendly staff. This place is a gem. Skip the hotel breakfast and have the real deal right across the street and less than half the price. Best breakfast I have had in a long time. We will be back!
Very good special, very tasty, simple and healthy. « No fry » zone. The staff is really really amazing. A lot of regular clients which is also an excellent sign. The coffee is free with special and bottomless. There is free parking also. Highly recommended.
A tucked away spot with great breakfast, Its an enjoyable place where the staff remember you and are quick on there feet. Always busy but not crowded. A favourite for going out with larger groups.
They were really homely and the food was downright delicious. Love that you can just pour your own coffee anytime and the people working there had great humour and friendly attitudes.
I love coming to eat at the Sunshine Diner the staff is very friendly. For me it felt like home dishes and a very good environment that feels more like not a restaurant but home.
The food was poor in quality; the staff was unfriendly, and service was very poor. I didn’t like that you poured you own beverages! I’m not sure how the health department would view this practice. We won’t be going there again.
First time here one of the last Traditional dinners left in Fredericton. Great prices good portions. Had the breakfast special; scrambled eggs with ham sausage or bacon toast, home fries or baked beans. For 8.99 includes Coffee, btea or Glass of juice. It's serve your own bottomless coffee and water. Nice atmosphere with groups of people chatting about the world. Definitely will be coming back the next time I want a home style meal.
If you are looking for luxury, this isn’t your place. But if you want a great breakfast for a great price, I highly recommend this place. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. Food portions were good. There was also a high turnover in patrons which made it appear to be popular with the locals (a good sign). Will definitely return if I’m in the area.
Sunshine diner lives up to its name! Friendly staff, home cooked meals and fresh coffee! My 3-egg veggie omelette looked so good when it came to the table I didnt have time to take a photo! I always love a good breakfast joint that has flavorful, authentic, and local foods and this place has it all.
Homecooking, casual dining, and friendly, warm service. Sunshine is a traditional greasy spoon and a favorite breakfast and brunch spot for locals who keep it simple. Personal favorite menu item: The Really Big Breakfast!
Myself I found the prices to be high for what you get. I had a BOB it was 8$ plus. Way to expensive for a hamburger bun and a egg and a couple small pieces of ham. Way better value on breakfast sandwiches. From Tim's. A&W. McDs. Now I know.
