Swiss Chalet

You can't go wrong with their chicken poutine! The food is delicious, the music is ~2013 but honestly it's good to have a trip down memory lane to relax a bit.

The food was fantastic. The service - poor. I placed an online order for a 4: 45pm pick up. I didn’t receive my food until 5: 10pm with no explanation or apology from anyone. I was not alone in waiting, and each time someone came out from the back, it was never the same person so it felt like we were starting over everytime we said our names. Very frustrating as most people place their pick up time with the expectation that the order is ready for when we need it to be.

Horrendous customer service. Didn't get a chance to have the food. Ordered from doordash and 2 hours later it was as if the items I ordered didn't exist. Manager acted as if I was lying about what I was talking about and brushed me off, refusing to help. Avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately we were seated next to a large birthday party of 30+ people with children. Despite being told that the server was over-extended, the manager (Carlos) chose to seat us (and others) in the already busy section. It was crowded and very loud. The service understandably was slow, due to one server for this section.

The appetizer was quick to come out but the drinks took 20 minutes. They were out of potatoes and carbonated drinks.

While the server tried in vain to bring out all the meals for the birthday party the manager just sat back and watched as it started to fall apart. Meanwhile the rest of the guests were waiting for their food.

Overall it took a long time to get out food and we spent it feeling bad for the server. She was trying hard to work a section that had been packed with too many guests, too fast. The manager was completely unhelpful, which was noted by other guests in the area.

Edit to add: Big thanks to the GM Michael. He reached out via email the same day and telephone a couple days later to gather information and remedy the situation. He was open to feedback about improving the guest experience. This is much appreciated.

We arrived and the hostess was going to seat us in a different spot because she said her colleague was busy with a birthday party (30+ people). Carlos (manager) said no and put us in the same area as the party. It was very loud.

They didn't know where the orders belonged. They were giving people's orders to the wrong people. Everything was chaotic. Carlos made no attempt to help.

They had no mashed or baked potatoes. They had no carbonated pop. Waited over 20 minutes for an apple juice and an iced tea. I would say whatever machine was broken was near us as we listened to a loud squeal from the back area for the duration of our meal.

While seated I could hear a server say some guests were returning their meals. Carlos was rude with the server and made no attempt to go to the table and see what was wrong.

Carlos had time to chat with staff but no time to take care of guests. When I asked Carlos about the situation when I was leaving, he threw his general manager, Michael, under the bus and blamed him for the situation.

Definitely won't return.

My order was 3 half chickens and 1 quarter chicken. It was cold when the order came I told them to return and change the order and again they came warm and the chickens were just reheated. I did not enjoy.

Walked in there, saw 3 booths I wanted to sit with my wife, but the hostess wanted to stick us in the middle of the room surrounded by everybody. If there was NOT a place available, it would be ok, but was not the case. She couldnt care less as we walked out. Happened Oct-24-2023 at 12: 30pm. Useless hostess like that should get fired!

Warm welcome, varied menu. Service was slow and our server didn’t know what the house dipping sauce was made of or tasted like! Said it wasn’t tomato base but when it arrived it was!
Chicken leg dinner was tasty the chicken tenders overcooked and hard, the fries soggy

My wife and myself enjoyed a great meal and excellent service, especially by our Server, Sienna, who as well as being very friendly, gave us excellent advise on menu choices.

The restaurant was very busy however our waitress, Carly, was very friendly and checked on our table often. She even made recommendations to help me order.

Sienna was super friendly and the service was fast and the food was good. Just what we wanted. Thank you.

Food was awesome and we left full and satisfied. Our sever Carly was fantastic. She was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

We had Jackie as our server, she was amazing!

I haven’t been to a Swiss Chalet in years…. And we had a great meal. The chicken was juicy and tender and our server Sienna was lovely

Excellent service there, my waitresses Jackie was very attentive, Made a fresh pot of coffee, speedy service, made sure I had everything I needed. Definitely will stop there again on my next trip through.

Swiss Chalet is my favorite place to enjoy a meal and today was once again a great meal and wonderful service by Carly. Wonderful way to enjoy my birthday!

Great first-time experience at Swiss Chalet! Sieanna, our server, was so sweet and attentive. Definitely will be coming back.

Just came in for a chicken special. Our waitress Jackie was fabulous and very very diligent. My partner is quite particular, and she accommodated his several dietary restrictions with ease and without judgement

Next time we’re here from Toronto I’ll definitely swing by!
