Very good service. The proof is in the always booked tables. Love the host who are passionate to host.

We dropped in for a take away order and the bar tender took our order.he was great and super helpful. He served us drinks as we waited.which was only a few mins. We were shocked how fast they made order.

Dropped in (party of 2) around 7: 30 on a Wednesday evening and were seated right away. Ordered the Nan Nachos for a starter and Butter Chicken and Vindaloo (Lamb) for our entree. Nachos came out right away and were super good and plentiul (we couldn't eat them all if we wanted to save room for our entrees). The Butter Chicken was reported to be very good, but the Vindaloo was outstanding, and as feared, I couldn't finish it all. Our server (Bob) was also excellent. Would go back anytime I'm in St John.

Great food and atmosphere, fast service. The Indian Platter for 2 was amazing, and so was the Lamb Vindaloo & Matar Paneer

Excellent tasting food - spicy pad thai special and butter chicken with brilliant service. Clearly passionate about their food with a fascinating back story.

Food was great and flavorful, portions were large. The waiter gave us a lunch menu but we came in for an item off the dinner menu and he allowed us to order from the dinner menu with no issue. It was clean and the service was quick. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend.

Food was alright. I ordered the spicy pad thai which really didn't taste much like pad thai. Other people in my party enjoyed their stuff a lot, not really for me. Not bad, but not great either.

Really delicious! Many choices of dishes are offered beyond Indian specialties, which can appeal to a group with varied tastes.

Food is good but the drinks are horrible the bartender girl with red hair.her drinks are no good and they are not consistent at all.if they get a new bartender with more fancy drinks this place would be a nicer atmosphere

After one year, the food just as delicious:) I took the Wonton soup with Lemon grass and ginger BROTH! One of the best soup i ever tasted. After that i took a delicious steak salad with blue cheese dressing:) Amazing!

I was in town for a week and decided to check out Thandi based on the rave reviews. It did not disappoint! I got chicken tikka masala and it was phenomenal: the sauce was flavorful and just a little spicy, the chicken was tender, and the naan bread was the best I’ve ever had. Service and ambience were great too. I came back a second time this week because I enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend!

You could find a amazing experience at a better fare within stones throw of this establishment. As a host in the hospitality industry, as well as a person who is family-oriented, I have heard many opinions on Thandi’s that are parallel with my own experiences at this restaurant.

I regret to say that in recent years I have chosen to stop sending clients, friends, and family to Thandi as people frequently return disappointed. Clearly a lot has changed since they opened their doors 10+ years ago. I would love to revisit someday, but I have yet to find a reason.

Great atmosphere, good menu, but the level of customer service (or lack thereof) leaves much to be desired. “Your money is no good to us” can go one of two ways. For the price, you’d think they would try to encourage your patronage. I have found the demeanour and general behaviour of staff members to be rather deplorable.

An amazing experience with food and services. I recommend people to eat at this restaurant and enjoy the taste of great food. Ask the server and recommendations works best.a great memory and meal to cherish

What happened to Thandis? 100% felt like a foreigner in my own country. Waiter did not speak english hardly and was quite rude. The kitchen had non english canadians who were hitting each other and throwing food around at each other. Will not be a place my family and I will return to again. Saint John that i knew and loved has gone, Sad

I love the atmosphere and vibe in this restaurant! But most of all, their dishes are sooo authentic! Must try would be the chicken tikka masala with raita and spicy chicken noodles!

One word. EXCEPTIONAL! Wow, the food and service were amazing. Keith our server was wonderful. And as for the food.the chicken vindaloo was incredible: so much meat, fresh, very little potato padding, and a great sauce. I asked for extra spicy and oh boy it was exactly as requested: super spicy but it still had all the flavours.
Note that every meal comes with rice and naan included, so on that basis it's great value. One criticism: the naans appeared to be shop-bought, not authentic, maybe they don't have a tandoor oven to make naans in house.
BTW the wine is very reasonably priced!
I cannot speak highly enough of the food and ambience (this place is in a gorgeous old brick building).

The Bombay Curry with Lamb, Naan Nachos and Butter Chicken are so delicious! Also loved that the restaurant was open on Monday Evening which is wonderful in summer especially

Great place, food is a bit inconsistent but the atmosphere is great and the drinks are better!

Very impressed. The tandoori chicken salad wasn’t what I expected, but was delicious and loaded with chicken and veggies. Food came super quickly and service was friendly. Will be back next time I’m in town!
