I was really surprised. Was invited to a supper as part of a small wedding reception. Since I'm not a seafood fan, I was not looking forward to it. I actually found something on the menu that I could enjoy. It was good. What I liked the best was their live entertainment. What a great concept! You can go out for a meal, watch great local entertainment, have a few dances, and be home by 9 pm. Tina Gautreau, last night is an amazing entertainer! Bravo!

Have eaten here several times. We enjoy the take out. They sell a homemade Turkey dinner for only $13.99. The portion is moderate, not large but it’s fresh and delish and that’s cheaper and much healthier than McDonald’s. Everything we have had there has been excellent and not over priced. Staff have all been lovely.

My only suggestion would be to perhaps get a bell in the takeout area, as when I go in nobody seems to notice that someone is there until I go looking for an employee.

This restaurant definitely is a locals’ haunt —the night we were there it was packed with locals. The service was good, and we highly recommend the lobster roll and seafood chowder.

My husband and I, along with friends, have had the pleasure to dine here several times over the past few months.
Service is impeccable and staff are so friendly and professional! Comfortable seating and the seafood is to die for! I especially must comment on their scallop platter and the number of scallops served! Cooked to perfection and so tasty. We have seafood restaurants in Moncton but driving the extra 15 minutes to Shediac is well worth it, with better service and better prices at this particular eatery. Thank you so much, we will be back soon!

The fish and clams are amazing! I've tried other food and all was very good. My favorites are fish and clams.

The service was excellent. Friendly, fast, and efficient. Had the Seaside platter with sweet potatoes as a side. They managed to crisp the sweet potato fries. That's not something that's an easy accomplishment. They were nicely done. The fried clams were also delicious. And can't forget the bacon wrapped scallops.yummy!

The lobster roll and bacon wrapped scallops were great! Delicious food and plenty in the meal! My server was really good too. I asked for my leftovers to be packed up but I think she misunderstood or didn’t hear me as I had to go and ask for them after paying. I was sent off with my leftovers in a brown paper bag with a little fry tray. That could have been much better but overall the place was very good!

Our order was ruined.
When we tried to contact the reception, a rude female did everything but help us.
Lacks a basic etiquette to be at the reception.

I was there last night with my husband for Valentine a night I will not forget. We had reservation at 6 o’clock we ordered a bottle of wine there was 3 different king on the menu but they only have 1 kind no choice. Server came with the wine put it on the table and didn’t pour us a glass. We ordered our food, the first time our server came to our table was around 7: 30 to tell me the the seafood casserole that I ordered was no more available that I had to choose another meal. So I ordered something else and asked her how long it will take she said another hour. So we ask her to cancel our order and pay for the wine and left. So my husband made us supper we ate at 9. A Valentine we will never forget. We didn’t even had bread or any munchies.very disappointed

This was my first time visiting this place on the advice of my new Fiancé. We just got engaged at the nearby warf point de chenne, and we were excited to celebrate with a Lobster dinner. My Fiancé had the seafood Poutine with Lobster, and I had the bacon lobster club sandwich, both were delicious. I always request a booth, which was very cosy and intimate with the low key lighting. This restaurant is not cheap, but the food is delicious and the portions generous. To top it off we shared a coconut cream cheese cake, which was to die for, and my Fiancé's favorite. We were there at a very slow time so the service was not exactly fast, but we were not in a hurry, and this is not a fast food restaurant. The parking was accessible and easily available. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any seafood fan.

Disappointing, unfortunately. I had the mussels platter with rice. The rice tasted like it came from a box - not good at all. The mussels were supposedly breaded and fried but completely mushy and very bland. The fish of fish and chips also very bland. The fries from another meal looked liked and tasted like frozen fries. Not good at all. The berry salad that accompanied the one piece fish was very good.

Meilleur resto de fruits de mer du coin, vraiment bon, les grosses frites ouf! Meilleures frites que j’ai mangé ever! Et le service les filles sont supers gentilles. Merci merci!

Food was delicious, service was fast as we were a big group, workers were very polite and friendly also good as what that do. Price was fair. The only thing is your reservation is in a big room and there could be an other reservation group in the same room. I still suggest this restaurant for group reservation. Try it out you wouldn't be sorry.

Great place for a meal. Food is good. The only complaint is that the band is too loud, hard to talk to people without yelling.

Such an amazing experience! Our server Remy was absolutely fantastic! We sat at the bar and was greated with smiles, laughs and amazing conversations with holy and Steven as well! You guys made us feel like home! ️ 100% would recommend here to anyone wanting great food, drinks, and top notch service! Thanks to the three of you for making our night out in Shediac a memorable one!

Area’s of Competency:
- Big portions, high quality food, affordable pricing
- Large dining area (Booths & Tables) with ideal lighting. Although busy, we were seated right away.
- Clean washrooms
- Average waiting time for food (Group of 4) was 30 minutes.
- The Cheesecake was delicious!

Area’s for Improvement:
- Needs more selection of imported beer
- Needs coasters on table
- Needs free wifi
- Improve consistency of service. Check up on your tables to ensure all is well. Don’t just deliver the food and disappear.

First time we went and love it nice place, food was awesome we are only 47people were there. Live music, cozy place and very beautiful waitresses serve with smile.

It was busy so we had high hopes.but the food was very bland. Everything needed more seasoning.

Haven't been in town very long, but we've already been to The Fisherman twice. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Their bacon cheddar burger is simple and perfect. Lots of flavor without a ton of grease. Probably one of my favorite burgers I've had at a restaurant. And if you're feeling hungry, for a mere $2 more, you can upgrade your side to a delicious poutine. Not a cheap poutine either - oh no - tons of gravy and proper cheese curds. Will definitely be back many more times!

Complete Fraud! How can a restaurant accept an order for a cheeseburger by itself, when they "don't do that", then blatantly charge you for the whole meal without EVER telling you that they will charge you for the combo, even if you order just the burger. The worst part is that I had ordered a homemade onion ring as well, not knowing I could choose this as my side instead of fries.so I ended up paying the FULL PRICE for the onion ring AND the price of the cheeseburger combo and only got the cheeseburger.

Honest is ALWAYS the best policy!

So, 2 things here:
1. You should ALWAYS let the customer know that you do not sell the burger on its own. That IF the customer chooses to only purchase the burger by itself AFTER this notice then they will be charge the price of the combo.
2. When a customer orders an Onion Ring on its own and then wants to add a burger the PROFESSIONAL and HONEST thing to do would have been to offer the customer to choose the Onion Rings as the side for the combo. Specially since you will notify them of #1 anyways and tell them that onion rings CAN be a substitute to the fries.

Food was good quality and very large portion for the price.

Staff was nice, place was clean and the live music was good too.

The clams are to die for. Perfectly cooked 8n just the right amount of batter. The best I have ever had!

We always have a fabulous experience here! Even when they are busy, staff is super friendly. The food is always a hit! Sometimes we catch live entertainment too. Lovely place to go. Try it!

Pretty awful service. The two hostesses/waitresses didn’t seem to communicate between each other because I had to repeat myself. Took awhile to get served, after ordering she said it would take 10 mins. Waited 30 mins before going up to the bar, where the waitresses were chatting up a guy without masks, to ask about my food. One runs to kitchen to check which of course it was ready. Seems like the waitresses were just hanging out not caring too much about their job.

Food was alright. I will admit the clam chowder was pretty good but the lobster roll was nothing special and for the price I’ve had much better. Fish and chips as well were very mediocre and not worth it. Overall incredibly disappointing. Would not recommend.

Large portions and wonderful staff. Had a lovely conversation with Cindy, our waitress, who was so warm, kind and helpful in sharing information about the area to us newcomers. Very pleasant dining environment and a menu to satisfy various taste preferences.

C est bon mais ça reste assez basique comme plat: des fruits de mer frits. La soupe aux fruits de mer est moyenne: il y a surtout des patates dedans.

Probably one the best fish and chips I've had! Oh and the amount of lobster in the lobster roll was incredible!

Un endroit paradisiaque pour les familles en recherche d'un substitut pour la Casa Grecque. Ma patate était trop cuite mais mon Club sandwich aux homards était délicieux et dithyrambique. Je recommande fortement pour ceux qui aiment la bonne nourriture et les expériences culinaires. #jereviens

Waited almost 30 minutes for a waitress, we were passed by 4 different waitresses. It was a Tuesday and they were not at all busy. After we did get our order taken food took a while but it was good. So half stars for the service but full stars for the food

The restaurant looks very nice however it was packed at 6pm today. We were unable to get a table then I read the reviews and someone recommended Paturel restaurant. I called and they had availability so we ended up here. The view from Paturel is amazing … much better than the fisherman. If it’s busy there don’t think twice … Paturel’s pictures for reference

I dont know about the food but after waiting to be seated for 15 minutes and having 2 waitresses passing by with no indication that they will be there for us; we just left! (Place was almost empty)
Sometimes its just not about the food but the service and we didn’t get it.

The atmosphere was nice. The food came out quickly but there it ends. The seafood platter and seafood poutine were TASTELESS! The poutine had very little seafood and what was there was extremely tiny bits! The platter items tasted as if they were put in oil before it was heated enough!

Sadly when the server finally returned to take our plates and asked, she replied "well you wont be getting it for free! " We never asked! But we did say that 1/2 price would be acceptable. She said ahe didnt think so as we had eaten so much! I left most of the fries and sauce! My friend left 1/2 of the fish, a few clams, a scallop and most of her fries. So she went to check. Much later she returned with the bills - full price! We asked to speak to the manager! She did not appologize or give any sign of listening! She went into a defensive mode of explaining it was a top seller and all the seafood is weighed! Then the waitress piped in saying we had eaten everythkng! We had not! We felt unlistened to and as if we were being acused of lying! Not impressed with ccustomer service AT ALL!

Excellent repas. Même si personnes dans votre groupe ont des allergies aux fruits de mer, ils ont quelques choix sans fruits de mer et ils font attention lors de la préparation.

Wanted to put 0 stars but it made me pick one star couldn't eat here as as they do not have an English an English menu on their website If they want to get business maybe they should learn how to set up a Web page.

Very disappointed with the non service. We were given a menu when we arrived at 6: 10 with reservations for 6: 15. We sat down waiting to be served. After a few attempts to talk to waitress forty minutes passed. We sat completely ignored. We left and went to Paturel restaurant which was full but we were accommodated and were told it would be about 15 minutes before they could serve us. In the mean time they did bring us drinks and bread. The fisherman has seen the last of us. When we were leaving a customer said he did not blame us for leaving.

Nice place to come with family. Guests are friendly and the food is good. I would definitely come back many more times. I’m especially happy to know that Thursday there’s fun live music.

I have never been to a Beautiful and most fantastic Restaurant as The Fisherman in Shediac, NB in my entire life and this includes all the other Countries I've been too. The staff is so loving, kind, and caring and funny also. Any food ordered is very delicious. My favorite place on Earth for sure. I love you all and will see you all again soon. Thank you all for your amazing services.
