The Picaroons Roundhouse

Met a friend here, biked over on the trail, ordered some food only to be told bikes aren't allowed near the picnic tables. I didn't have a lock so I had to leave, got my super dry wings to go. At the very least post visible signs saying bikes aren't allowed, not exactly what I expected from a trailside spot.

On a adoré leur superbe terrasse, leur serveur hyper sympathique et leur palettes de dégustation. Vraiment plaisant cet après-midi ensoleillée, tout près d'un joli pont pour piétons.

My walk to Picaroons was perfect, as I was able to use the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge. I am so glad I was mistaken because I had a chance to order Vegetarian Chili. And for my drink the Red River North Cider hit the spot and was refreshing! My Chili was out of this world. The place is pretty cool with toddlers and dogs, who are welcomed.

Even the staff is super friendly, where they even called a cab for me! This is a place worth a visit, you will not be disappointed!

In the late spring, summer, and early fall the outdoor seating, drinking, eating area is top notch. Located close to the main city walking trails and provides a very scenic view of the Saint John River and downtown Fredericton.

The Roundhouse on the North Side of the Wolastook is a wonderful place to grab a pint, fill a Growler, or spend an evening with friends.
The food at 540 North is amazing and well priced.
Having both great beer and food, this is a place everyone needs to visit.

This is the place where leaders meet to discuss a better future. Such a great take on the classic warering hole! Beautiful location with some of the finest beer the province has to offer. Having left the province for years and returning to NB, it was evident picaroons is still on top compared to the rest. If you visit this spot, make sure to visit Bowie's Island for a great view of the river!

Went here for drinks for the first time. Lots of outside seating for NB day there was a lot of people. We got a seat inside. What a beautiful setup they have on the drink side, will be coming for supper next time.

My favorite place in the city; fantastic views, beautiful park, and the melon head goes down smooth!

The food tastes great, however the last 2 times we've eaten here the next day our stomachs have been paining and we weren't able to do much. Not sure if it's us or something changed there.

Nice place for a beer and a quick bite, lacks costumer service, maybe the day I was there but they could use an smile and better attitude.

The penne with goat cheese was unreal incredible! Great service and atmosphere. It was so great to see all the dogs there. It was terrible to hear that someone complained and now the dogs can't be around.

My first visit was 26-Feb-2021 which i was very impressed with everything. Great atmosphere, relaxing, good food, open and spacious, polite professional staff. It draws a nice group of people in. Looking forward to going again soon! Also, the uniqueness makes it stand out above all others of its kind. Makes me thankful it is right here in my neighborhood.

The new Reno's are great! A great menu and fantastic beer offerings. Bring your dog so they can enjoy the atmosphere. Great hidden gem on the Northside! Walking distance from most hotels.

Great beer! Comfortable indoor area where you can consume fresh beer on tap. Its nice to go out, get out of the house. Before stopping in for a pint went for a walk across a bridge which crosses the saint John river. Quite beautiful.

Great experience and friendly staff. I have tried the North burger and the 540 forty burger both are good; however the 540 burger is really good. Hugh outdoor seating area which makes it a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the sites. The menu is basic pub style fair with an upscale twist. If I was a beer drinker I would most likely have to give it a five star rating.

Beautiful patio with a great atmosphere. A really nice place to hang out with friends and have a few beers.

Great beer. Great place to share time with friends. And we were able to bring our dog with us which is a great bonus.

This was my first visit. Nice, big place and lots of outdoor space if you choose to sit outside. Very friendly staff, and the restaurant is very COVID-19 conscious. I had the fish and chips for lunch and it was delicious. I will definitely go back again.

Good place, it's technically a brewery so you can order delivery from other establishments right to the grounds. Many people use the walking path in the bridge that is very close by. There are also truck vendors right on the grounds, and Picaroons can make food as well. You can bring animals like dogs right inside, because on the wa weather the doors are wide open.

Picaroons is an experience in Fredericton everyone can enjoy from visitor to locals!

It's amazing to see the transformation of this building and the surrounding property! Even since I was last there a short time ago, the place was vibrate on a sunny summer afternoon!

Great spot to go and relax. Don't need to have an alcoholic beverage. They serve coffee also. The patio is very inviting after a walk on The Green.

Brought in some growlers from out of town and they were kind enough to fill them up. Staff were easy going and friendly. Food was a little lacking. Typical pub fair.

Very fun space to spend a few hours having drinks in either a large or small group setting. There is plenty of outdoor seating for nicer days and there is enough indoor seating for those less than pleasant days too. Having the food trucks outside really helps make this place quite enjoyable.

The parking lot and the disabled access was awful. The curb cut was fine but then I was in the dark on gravel! I got to the door but there was an inch and a half rise to go over!

This place is great I had a long bike ride beforehand and I was very parched because it was a hot day and the gracious employees of this establishment left out a bowl of luke warm water for me.
I refreshed myself from the stainless steel bowl and then had a roughly 45 year old woman approach me and offer to buy me an IPA.
Good times!

Great food and a kids menu, outside patio is gorgeous and allows dogs. They also carry local non alcoholic drinks.

Large historical venue perfect for large events, fundraisers, or even just a night out. The outdoor space is delightful, across the walking bridge from downtown a great walking destination!

One of my favorite Brew pubs in fredericton, the only one to offer the full service. Meal, out door order window and a massive seating area.

Had an amazing lunch with some awesome drinks. Thanks to Julia and the rest of the staff for making our visit a great. Can't wait to visit again.

Best option to enjoy a good weather day and amazing sunsets. One of my favorite spots in Fredericton without a doubt.

Probably the coolest patio around. Beautiful location and a great place for a drink with friends.

Fun local hangout in Fredericton, across the river from downtown on a repurposed railroad bridge that's now a pedestrian walkway. In addition to drinks, there are often a couple of food trucks there, and a big open area.

Amazing venue with spaciois indoor/outdoor seating along the river front and a great beer selection (16x taps avail on 06 Aug 2019). $8 for flights of 4x 5oz tasters is fantastic. Small food menu provides great varied options for eats, but the most popular items (burger, pulled pork) run out quick.

The best place to chill out with a cold one and delicious food. Bring a crowd with you, or just take a moment by yourself and watch the river. Great location, great people, the best beer!

Nice stop in Fredericton. The outdoor patio is awesome. Lots of space. We got food from a nearby food truck which was great. The beers were good. There was no sign detailing specifics of the beers and the names weren’t that helpful, but the staff working there was really nice and chose for us!
