Tide & Boar

Normally we really enjoy T&B thoroughly. Unfortunately we went to the T&B for NYE and it just seems that the kitchen was overwhelmed trying to feed too many people too quickly so as to facilitate the NYE celebrations. Most of the food arrived very cold and if you ordered a steak.basically uncooked. That is really more on us than T&B. But the price was exhorbitant as well. 75 bucks a head for entrees that were effectively inedible. We gotta be smarter about picking table d'hotes for that many people on a crunched timeline. Live and learn. On the upside the staff worked their butts off given the situation.

85$ for 2 overpriced.buns on chicken sandwich is terrible.fries are 0 out of 10.mostly burnt scraps.soups are usually great.water is awful.old pipes taste.

Be careful, they put ketchup on their poutines, not very fitting for purists. Korean chicken was a huge portion and the chicken was a little dry. The beer selection is on point.

Delicious and always accurate! Try the Flight it won’t disappoint! The frozé is my go to and the parm crusted haddock is my favorite

This has been on our list for a while. Was there on a Saturday evening about 530. Was still not to busy. Was seated fast and ordered a couple of there lager on tap, quite good. Ordered supper, food was fairly fast, not huge portions but did not leave hungry. Enjoyed our supper, my wife was suprised with the pouting she really thought it could have been better, more gravy would have helped. This said we would go back.

Excellent meal and service. Our table enjoyed smoked wings, all-dressed chips, panko-crusted fish & chips along with chowder accompanied by their Early Retirement brew!

I’ve been there twice and I’ve been disappointed with the food. While the salad was very good, the boar poutine was the worst poutine I ever had. The gravy and cheese were inedible. I’ve found fried items to taste bland at my last visit too.

Excellent overall experience, with attentive and accommodating staff. The restaurant has an outside terrace as well as two floors on the inside. We arrived at 6 p.m, and the restaurant was already full. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. The oysters were succulent and meaty. The tiramisu is a must-order.

This place has cool ambiance, nice patio, lots of drink options, but overrated on the food unfortunately. The Boar Board charcuterie is terrible, do not get it! Chowder is above average as was the boar salad. However, everything else downhill from there.

Fish and chips, steak frites and poke bowl were all average

Service vraiment mauvais, le crabcake de l'entrée est arrivé froid. Toujours besoin de courir ou surveiller le passage de la serveuse, elle ne revenait jamais nous voir pour nous demander si c'était à notre goût. Quand la facture est arrivée, au prix qu'elle était, nous n'avions clairement pas eu un service à la hauteur et les propositions de pourboire sur la facture (entre 18 et 23%) paraissaient vraiment comme une bonne blague. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant malgré leur superbe terrasse.

Offsales available. Many many IPAs.loved the rye stout. Food was good and plentiful portions. Sad no Pilsner the day we dined. Server was excellent good sense of humour too. Beers drank were a combo of take out and dine in.

Great spot for any beer lover, or really anyone with an appetite. I tried two of their sours (raspberry and peach) and both were phenomenal. Our server was great and the food came out fast and piping hot. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was a generous size and seasoned well. My partner had the Shrimp Po Boy which looked great.

Fun atmosphere. We had charcuterie which was delicious. And the service was great, everyone was extremely professional and friendly. I feel it's a place that can be casual, or you can dress up a bit for a nice evening out.

My most favorite spot in town for fresh local nom-noms and craft brew. Daily features are often served and rotating house taps plus guest taps.top quality everything in a casual atmosphere.also occasional live music.

What a lovely restaurant in the heart of Moncton.

I was visiting from out of province and made the right choice to visit Tide & Boar Gastropub for dinner.
There was a slight wait to get seated outside and after tasting their food I know why!
I had their burger with blue cheese and bacon, it was amazing!

I highly recommend Tide & Boar Gastropub and will be back again hopefully sooner than later:)

Food was very flavorful, and came quickly for such a full place. Brisket was perfect, only thing I would prefer is maybe a less acidic BBQ sauce, so there was a sweet element, the pickles, and slaw were also vinegar forward, but delicious. Mac and cheese, and the biscuit were great.

Ordered the Nashville hot chicken burger was about a total of 3lbs of chicken with cheese and macaroni on the side for the price it was great and the taste started out sweet but had a good kick to it if you can handle spice

Si vous êtes Français ou que vous aimez le bon café, c'est l'endroit idéal. Ayant fait le tour des cafés de Moncton, le duo reste de ce qu'il y a de plus proche de ce que l'on connait en Europe.
De plus le service est génial et l'accueil chaleureux. Sans parler de l'ambiance, une musique toujours au top.

I've been there three times, the food is not bad but not outstanding. If you want to experiment poutine for the first time, it's a good place to try. The beers are also OK, I don't remember drinking anything that would make me go there again.

Overpriced beers that come in tiny sample size glasses and extremely uncomfortable tables and chairs. The overall atmosphere is nice, but do not come here if you are not ready to overpay for both your food and drink.

Would not come again.

Great service, delicious food. The beer taps were a little repetitive. Lots of IPAs and not much else. Portion size at lunch was large!

One of the best hangouts in Moncton. Great food, service. Friendly atmosphere, and often great entertainment.

Awhile back my friends and I made the road trip to Moncton from Boston. We still talk about Tide & Boar as being the highlight of our trip. The menu options were fantastic and diverse, I recall trying the taquitos, chicken & waffles, and wild boar poutine, all of which was amazing. To this day they also have served me the best mojito I have ever had. Super fresh, not oversweetend, just perfect. Moncton in general was a much better food city then I was expecting and you are doing s disservice to yourself if you're ever in the area and do not pay a visit.

Nice menu and a nice beer list as well. Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions to our order, which were right on.

Seafood chowder should have showcased seafood and not small potatoes cut in half. Hamburger was very tasty, but the fries were mostly small crunchy bits.service was friendly and prompt.

We had the tide charcuterie board.and it was amaziballs. There was smoked salmon, haddock mousse, pickled ramps and fiddled heads, turmeric onions, dulse spread, and fresh oysters along with homemade crackers. You need to try this board! The chicken was great as well, crunchy and flavorful, big portion and had the t and b salad with it. I wanted to go back there for lunch but we have to leave for PEI.

Excellent food and service. I had the Suicide spicy Nashville fried chicken and it was delicious. The blend they use is really tasty and you can get the actual flavour of the peppers used. Highly recommended for people looking for spicy and tasty.
