Nothing works - the tv, half the lights and outlets, drink machine.the room smelled of stale paint from the ongoing renovations. It's basically a motel with more floors.

We needed a hotel not far from the ferry terminal, so we booked a room at this hotel. There are renovation being done at the time of our stay, but nothing that was bothersome. The room was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. I will stay there again.

The room was very comfortable with a big TV, microwave, coffee maker and fridge. It is right besides many stores restaurants. There is no parking fee like in the city. Very affordable yet ticks off all the boxes. I will definitely return.

Location is okay as there are a few restaurants around and the room was clean but I was given a smoking room when I booked non-smoking. I had to argue with them to get it corrected.

Room was ok but unusual. Curtains were too long and badly frayed on the bottom. Room was very bright overnight. Bright security lights in back parking lot.

This was our third stay here and our last. While we enjoy having the drive up rooms especially when travelling with a child, the cigarette smell was so strong in the room I couldn’t sleep. There was clearly a no smoking sign in the room but the place reeked. Not a pleasant experience and the hotel should consider properly cleaning the rooms to get rid of the stench.

Hotel is a dump compared to the pictures online. We booked ahead through Expedia because the reviews were 8/10 and the pictures looked decent. Hotel is run down on the outside, parking lot a mess of pavement. Inside, garbage on the floor in the lobby, and a distinct odor in the air. I accidentally booked a smoking room (I didn't even know that was a thing anymore!), but they kindly switched it to a non smoking. Let me tell you, the entire hotel still stinks like cigarettes. The bed is very soft, almost like the mattress is overused. We tried to get our money back but they refused. We left without a refund, and would not recommend you stay here unless you like a dirty hotel that smells of smoke.

I mean. Plus for there BEING a smoking room. I don't smoke cigarettes, but the room smelt like 5 guys were playing poker and chainsmoking for 12 hours immediately before I entered the room. AC didn't work a lick however it was replaced promptly while I was working and works like a charm afterwards.

Staff was friendly when checking in & out and provided all necessary information. Breakfast was basic continental. However, the smell of the hotel and room was very musty. Not to mention the carpets felt damp. We had booked and paid for 2 nights (non refundable) and left after the first night for another hotel. I would not recommended.

We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were not impressed. This is an instance of photos not being an accurate representation of what you are getting. I don't normally write negative reviews but thought it was important to let people know what to expect when staying here. I will go through the pros and cons as to provide a balanced review. Pros: Good location, towels and bedding were clean, and the room was clean. Cons: We did not get the room we paid for when we booked online and could not change as the hotel was fully booked, the hotel is more run down then the photos show and the room we got had a really musty and moldy smell to it. Also the service we received was less than adequate. I personally would not stay here again.

Very nice ladies at reception, but wow what’s that smell in the hallway and in the room? Damp and dank, we won’t be staying there again.

Amazing staff! These two ladies helped us with directions, gave direct instructions on where to park (professional employee all the way!) Poor woman took a verbal from an irate customer because she couldn't park. Outstanding work to these two!

Our room was super damp and smelled. The air conditioner didn’t do much at all and the floor had a huge wet spot beside it. Bathroom baseboards were clearly showing dirt so I ran a facecloth along and it was disgusting and we saw several ants.
Really disappointed especially for what we paid.

It was very convenient to have a front and back door when traveling with our pet. Unfortunately, neither of the door locks work and we were told by the staff that we would just have to leave the doors open and unlocked whenever we came and went.

We are on our way to Halifax and stop by this hotel for an overnight stay. I was warmly greeted by Carrie at the front desk. She is really nice and friendly. It was really nice to be greeted in such manner after a long drive. We were given a room on the ground floor with a door leading to our car which was fantastic.

The room is clean, modern, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is airy, bright and clean. It is quite surprising to find that place to be 2 stars when it could compared to 3-stars. It is a comfort to know that we will be staying on the way back from Halifax.

This place is strategucally located within walking distance from many stores and fast food joint - with Papa John's and Pita Pit literally beside the building. There are Walmart nearby with Starbucks and A&W.

Once again, I cannot thank Carrie at the front desk enough for being so friendly and accomodating! Woot!

Great place, staff was very nice and welcoming, had an issue with our room and got upgraded for free. Perfect for a short stay.

A very dated, dirty hotel with a parking lot riddled with potholes.
Laundry room has vintage commercial washer and dryer from the 1980's.both in need of replacement.
Breakfast offerings are meager, with pre-packaged sandwiches.
Luggage cart is also an antique, and grungy.
Our shower head was full of scale.
Heater/air conditioner filter hadn't been cleaned in ages.
Best bet.tear down and rebuild.better yet: go somewhere else.

Lovely Hotel a little on the expensive side but definitely worth it just wish it had a better view though.

My visit here was work related, but seems like a nice spot. Not sure about service as the room is prepaid, I didn't have to interact with staff at all.

Very helpful staff and on point. I rolled in for a late check in on both visits and never had an issue with the girls working the night shift. They had this tired traveler booked in and sleeping within 15 minutes without a reservation. Love this location. Will recommend to freinds and family as well as other staff from Clipper Ship Supply who visit the port for a delivery.

Stayed here 4 times now and will continue to stay on my way to US. Staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and they welcome pets!

Staff were hit and miss, most were very pleasant with one not so much. Rooms are very dated.

The service and location were both good but unfortunately we booked a smoking room which I didn't even know still existed.they need to get rid of these and renovate these rooms as they are in serious need if an update and get that smell out
