YMCA of Greater Moncton

The men plus locker room, showers, hot tub and steam room very dirty. Complain many time nothing change. The showers, hot tub not been clean for the past 3 weeks. I m not the only one who complains, but they don't care.

Three fun pool areas for young children and older adults. A cycling exercise area and large gymnasium and the pool are on the first floor with the exercise and workout area upstairs. They offer open daycare services too.

Twice applied for a discount, the first time they did not call for a month, and then it turned out that they demanded more information. The next time I brought proof of my and wife's income, they called back the next day, but they refused. Three times I was denied information about who can claim the discount. I believe that such information should be available, public. I spent a lot of time to collect evidence of who earns how much, come, etc, you can immediately see whether it is worth doing this if you know who can claim a discount and who cannot. When I called back and expressed my dissatisfaction, I was switched to a robot who told me irrelevant information for a long time in two languages. Then, after I called back again, I was told that the manager would find out and call back, and most importantly, he would be able to provide simple information about who can claim a discount and with what income. Mrs. Bernadette Davidson explained that she could not send me the information by e-mail due to computer security issues. It seems that I called FBI, Mi 5/6 not YMCA. Whether to make discounts or not is their internal policy, but hiding the criteria for who can apply is incompatible with the democracy rating attributed to Canada.

Loving this YMCA (though I wonder why it's not labled as YMWCA).
Always clean here, whether in an exercise room, washrooms, front desk, hallways; it's always clean.
I appreciate this place keeping a supply of soap in the shower rooms (should I ever forget mine). Also appreciate that every fitness room has spray sanitizers with paper towels to wipe down the equipment.
Staff and fellow patrons are always pleasant.
Every instructor I've been guided under has been extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They always walk the talk and set prime examples for each of us.
I never tire of coming to this gym and have the utmost regard for all that work here.

A beautiful place for your whole family and friends! Fun slides and walking tracks available to everyone. Not to mention the fun filled splash pad, gym, FC and everything else it had to offer

If you want to swim and add other sports to your activity list, this is the place. The gym is good but it might seem a bit old. Staff is very friendly and polite, they will help you whenever you need help. They have lockers so you can lock your bags and other gym stuff but make sure you get your own lock. The gym is small so timing is crucial, usually busy from 5 PM to 8 PM and 6: 30 AM to 8: 30 AM. Pool timings can be seen on the brochure.

Went to the y for years go back every once in a while for different workout awesome gym free weight are awesome 100lbs plates great for legs

BE CAREFUL! Once you decide to cancel your membership, it won't be an easy thing, and they will charge you bi-weekly fee anyway, even after cancellation. And we will not return it to you. Cheaters.

I really enjoyed the YMCA especially the therapeutic pool. I was indicated the pool was for adults and really helped issues older people have. It really helped me with issues I had. One day, I noticed approximately 15 children in diapers in the therapeutic pool. I expressed my concerns to the YMCA director. After all, I was indicated by staff the therapeutic pool was an adult pool with great benefit to adults. Children already have access to 2/3 pools. I offered to do test after children in diapers use the pool but my request was denied. To make a long story short over my safety concerns the director took it upon himself to contact other employees to cancel my membership.

Awful. They wouldn't let me in as a guest with my friend, that which I go with on a consistant basis.and all of a sudden I'm not aloud in even tho I went twice last week!

We love it here. Helps Moncton feel like hope. Wish they were open a bit later on weekends but we understand that staff want time off too

The edge of the pools are dirty and if kids/teens go in the deep end the could possibly drown also me my sister and my mom went to open swimming in the evening we HAD TO STAY IN THE KIDDY POOL AND MY MOM COULDN'T EVEN GO IN THE HOT TUB WHICH IA RIGHT NEXT TO THE KIDDY POOL AND NO ONE WAS IN THE BIG POOL

Always heard the song YMCA never knew it was an athletic Center. Amazing space, good pool, great classes! Most importantly good price! For couple and 2 weeks pass is 50$ after tax.that's so good!

I am not sure what Claudio is talking about here, there are plenty of spin classes sometimes 2-3 per day called Cycle Fit and lots of upbeat dance classes with both Zumba and Line Dancing. The YMCA has tons of other classes as well.

The weight and exercise equipment is nice and good and that is about it.
The classes are excruciatingly boring. No music fun energy dance classes or spinning nothing.
Swimming classes for children are hit and miss. The teachers seem to be left on their own without. Had my daughter 2 months in a swim class were the teacher only left the children to play in the pool without teaching anything about swimming.

Disapointed will be looking for a new place
