Staff were helpful and accommodating regarding food allergies, and made me a special meal which was delicious. I recommend.

We had a fantastic meal, flavourful and perfectly cooked. Service was fun and knowledgeable.

Underated gem in Halifax! Been to both locations over several years and am always impressed. Great food, great service, great environment. Never had a bad meal or experience here.

The chowder is the best I've had. Lobster Mac and cheese, chicken parmesan and crusted cod are all great!

Kyle is a great server. Amazing food. Lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely eat here again.

Our server, John, was fabulous, from greeting and seating, straight through to wishing us goodbye as we left. The food was Incredible! The Buttermilk biscuits with molasses butter was a beautiful appetizer. I had the Kale Caesar salad with chicken and I loved EVERY BITE. Both of these paired well with the Pop shop-inspired mixed drink I had. The dessert - maple creme brûlée - I could have married that. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the music wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t have a simple conversation. 100% recommend, and will return.

The food was good and our server seemed like a nice person. Nice people can still be bad at their jobs and give terrible, slow, forgetful and inattentive service though.this was ultimately a terrible experience. We paid over $200 to sit and wait and cancel things our server was constantly forgetting to bring us. We spent more time looking around to see if our server was ever going to come back than we did actually talking with each other. Truly awful, my wife ended up having a terrible Mother's Day and she deserves so much better than that!

Food was beyond excellent! New menu is fantastic! Haddock dish and Scallop dishes were flawless. The Pork Belly appetizer was amazing! Everthing was absolutely perfect!

First time time in Halifax and enjoyed my time at this restaurant. The burgers are great and fries are good.
The drinks are on average. Little priced higher on the drinks but then again I'm from out of town.

The overall atmosphere is good nothing to complain about. The waiters and waitresses are nice. Would come back in the future!

Great ambience, and the nicest servers I’ve ever met in Halifax! Has a good variety of drinks on offer at pretty reasonable prices too. Extremely clean unlike other bars in the area. Simply the perfect choice for a quiet drink with friends and plenty of conversation!

Went to try this place out with two friends last week. The place is nice inside with a fancy-ish vibe. They had the best onion rings we ever ate, however all 3 of our smokehouse burgers were atleast 50% raw. We didn't complain as we assumed they cooked medium burgers there but I've come to learn that is not the case. Chef must of had a bad night.unfortunately spent over 100$ total for a beer and onion rings each. One friend mentioned the meat wasn't cooked when the waiter asked why she didn't take any bites of it after cutting it in half but the waiter just laughed and said "oh". Sadly it could have been a delicious burger if it was cooked properly and not cold throughout.

Our food took 1 hour and 45 minutes to come, the food was too greasy (practically inedible). The scallops were tasteless and of questionable quality.the prices are too high for the quality, service, and overall experience.our waiter was kind and apologetic but the situation was out of his control.

We visited this place on a late Friday evening and they still accommodate us even closing time was approaching.

Everything was up to the mark, starting from greetings by host, server, taste and portion of food, cleanliness and service.

Highly recommend.

The service is horrific. Uninterested waiters roaming with bored faces. Random dishes arrive at our table with unreasonable intervals. I finished my starter when my husband got his. Nobody bothered to clear the empty dishes. Our boys were left with no food for 1 hour. Never again!

Wow! Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. Great portions. I got the Korean chicken and my husband ordered the porkchop dish. We made reservations and we were happy we did as it seemed quite busy.

Great vibe. Great menu (although I wish there were more ocean fish options other than the fried platter). Great beers. I had the Maratime fish fry. The scallops and shrimp were great. The piece of haddock was on the small side and undercooked so that the batter was doughy. Too bad. The coleslaw was underwhelming too. But, the bacon tartar sauce - fantastic! And the pastas my family ordered were also fantastic. All three desserts were delicious!

The food was great! Tried the famous Smokehouse Burger with fries and Caramelised Scallop Spaghetti. The scallop was cooked to perfection. The pasta is cooked a little too soft. The burger with the caramelised onion and double smoke bacon is just perfect.

Tasty meal for solo traveller.

I had the duck and crème brûlée - both delicious. Nice patio, very chill.

I was so excited to try this restaurant for the first time and wanted to love it, but overall I’m dissatisfied with my visit; made reservations months in advance and made a special note that my group was vegetarian. At that time, then menu had quite a few options.
Upon our visit, we were told that they were currently “sold out” of multiple menu items (although this was the start of dinner time) and they had actually gotten rid of one of their veggie options permanently. Not too sure the point of making specific comments at the time of booking, if they aren’t really taken into consideration as our group had very few options.
The food was terribly bland for the price they charge per plate. Service was fine.

We went there on a Saturday night. Wait times can be really long if you don’t reserve beforehand. We put down our names on the list at 7 pm and got in at 8: 20 pm. Food is really good though so highly recommended and so are the servers.we had some really good burgers and the Sugo gnocchi.very tasty.ambience is good too.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Excellent, excellent food! Small menu but with all the meat and vegetarian and children's options covered. My wife had the pork, I had the beef, and son had the best chicken fingers ever. Staff were great, friendly and fast to seat us. Restaurant was intimate and cozy. Prices very reasonable.

I had the vegetarian noddle bowl with a glass of local wine and it was all very good. Very nice atmosphere.
