A B&B by the River

I was actually in the area for work and all the usual places booked up. Luckily I found Lydia & Johannes’ place and it was a fantastic stay. Hospitality was spot on and the breakfast was delicious. Very comfortable and spacious room, modern bathroom. Beautify views of the river to wake up to. Will definitely be back!

To describe the wonderful atmosphere and the fantastic hosts you simply have to have been there!
We were now for the second time with Lydia and Johannes.

Our hosts Johannes and Lydia Stroebel were warm and welcoming. Johannes prepared a delicious breakfast with lots of variety. The Bavarian style home was warm and very clean. The light colored wood of the furniture reminded me of places we stayed in Europe. I loved the mattress and slept so well with the fresh air of the woods coming in from open windows. I really appreciated the private bathroom attached to our room.

Lydia and Johannes were wonderful hosts. The room (king) was large with a TV, couch, and the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in. The bathroom had an incredible shower, and we had a semi-private porch with a table & 2 chairs. The view of the river was gorgeous and the garden of flowers close by was lovely and filled with fire flies at night. The breakfast was an experience itself with fresh fruit, delicious homemade jams and spelt bread, yogurt, eggs, juice, meat, cheese, and anything else you would want to eat! It was a great experience and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you!

Lydia and Johannes are very nice landlords, we felt very comfortable. The room was super modern, the breakfast delicious with homemade bread. And the evening talks were very entertaining. The squirrels, deer, rabbits and lynx feel at home in front of the door and the bald eagle flies over the river. Should we fly to Cape Breton again, we would love to come back.

The setting by the river is beautiful and tranquil. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and breakfast excellent.

An overall very peaceful and pleasant stay with a friendly couple that welcomed us to their B&B. The breakfast was true European style! This is a great place for those that want to get away from technology (as there is no cell service)!
