A & K Lick-A-Chick

Rating so low because the chicken is overcooked, dry and the oil hasn't changed for long time. Unfortunately you cannot like this chic!

When I went to Skyline last time, I stopped by to eat their ice cream;

This time I went to their house specifically because I wanted to eat ice cream, and then I had fried chicken by the way

Banana Split is the third ice cream I bought. It has three big ice cream balls, plus three dollops of cream. It also adds caramel and jam on top. It is paired with fried chicken. It is really delicious [Blow Kiss R]

I ordered fried chicken legs and French fries as standard. The fried chicken legs are very tender, and more importantly, the fried chicken skin is not salty, which is rare among fried chicken varieties and is more in line with my taste [laughing R]

The store is not big, with a maximum of three tables, but it is full of people waiting for food, and the parking lot outside is also full of cars. Most of them take food home for themselves. When ordering, you will be given a slip number and wait. When the meal was served, the horn sounded in the parking lot. The entire outdoor parking lot kept echoing with the horn. This was also the first time I saw it in Canada [Shameful R]

We've heard so many good things from people taking the ferry to NL so my husband finally stopped there today. Excited he bought 5 pieces of chicken. Fries and gravy were ok. THE CHICKEN, the worst he has ever seen or eaten AND he is not a picky eater. He had to throw the whole box away. The pictures say everything.and so busy. I guess you don't have to care.so salty and old oil.the strongest stomach can not handle this

Chicken burger was so salty it was disappointing. I will try the chicken pieces before I write them off altogether.

Why am I paying for this chicken again?
It's delicious, that's why.

Peak season lines are fairly long, for a reason.

This was an outing I remember as a kid. Had not eaten here in years and was very disappointed this time. Ordered 4 chicken burgers and they were way too salty. A&K Salt Lick a Chick. All 4 who ate them said the same thing. Will try again to see if the chicken pieces happen to have a different recipe, but would expect the same. If they are the same, I wouldn't go back as the salt overpowered any other spice.

Great 7 piece chicken meal! Service was friendly and efficient. Food was fresh and prepared well.

Was here a week ago and the chicken was terrible, same as today, the chicken was gross, salty as hell. I had 3 bites and in the garbage it went. The fries are the regular run of the mill frozen fries. I definitely will not be back. Now if you want really good chicken go to Membertou, delicious, great value for the money and you won't have to drink a bucket of water after eating it.

Did not like that the chicken we ordered was double deep fried until it was hard as a rock and the fries reminded me of McCains. Sorry, tried to like it but couldn't eat it.

The chicken is good if not a tad greasy, coleslaw was spot on but the fries are not worth it. If going just get chicken and salad.

The chicken burger was very good, the fries are crinkle cut which I love. The coleslaw was delicious and they have fountain pepsi which is my #1 choice for fountain pop. Overall a delicious meal snd was very satisfied

Been stopping here with my family for many years! A trip to Cape Breton isn't really complete without it. However as of recently, I have not liked the chicken quite as much as I used to. I don't know if it is just me, or if it is saltier than it used to be? So maybe they could lighten up on the salt a little bit. I used to like it better than I do now. Their fries are still very very good and always have been. They also make good milkshakes. Overall a very good place
