Acropole Pizza & Donair

They offer a good portion for the big donair, great taste at a good price. The sauce is not too sweet.the Donair meat is not too thin, spicy, I loved it.

Definitely one of my go to's. Pizza is very good. Chicken quesadilla is one of the best in town

They never let me down! Also, the lady who delivers for them is honestly THE BEST! She is super friendly, always on time and brings treats for my doggos. I've never had a bad experience with the food. I had an incident with a new card that kept saying my pin was incorrect and they were very great about it, just told me to send an etransfer.

Not a place to linger as they don't have a large dining area but the pizza is one of the top in Truro, careful it's a sight spicy but delicious; the slices are large and the price is decent. One slice is usually plenty for one person, my wife finds it too big, what? Located on Esplanade in Truro, there's easy parking close by, if you're lucky you can park right at the door.

Absolutely disgusting. Didn't check the box after delivery. Opened a couple minutes later to find 1/2 of the pizza had all of the toppings. Obviously it was carried on it's side. Called the shop and was told they were sorry. No offered of a replacement or anything. The veggie pizza had a handful of shrimp on it! First taste reminded us of mashed potatoes with gravy. Will never order from here again. Should have taken a photo.

New to outside of Truro area.
Sadly 3 out of 6 visits our orders have been wrong. Tonight no effort was made to quickly rectify this. Instead of requesting the pizza we ordered, we asked for two small donairs thinking it would quicker. No luck had to wait another 40 mins in the parking lot. Note the second attempt was still wrong.
Poor customer service. We will not be back.

Usually enjoy their slices and still do but why are the donair slices when you buy them by the slice have donair sauce in the pizza baked in, then you order a whole donair pizza and i get pizza with donair slices tomatoes and onions with donair sauce on the side? 2 different pizzas and completely threw me off but other than that their lunch slices are good

THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN! I was a Acropole lover from living in the Pictou County area. When it moved to Truro I was elated. Never ever had a pizza that wasn’t exquisite. Golden and delicious! This is our only pizza of choice. To us there is no other and we’ve had many different ones but Acropole, well bar none, the King of the Pizza’s. Thanks guys!

Best Pizza & Donair Shop in Nova. Scotia and very well maybe the world. The over the top friendly staff and great donairs and pizza's. I highly recommend them! Especially if all you ever had for pizza's were Domino's or PapaJohns or Little Caesar's etc.

Good customer service is hard to beat! Great food, hilarious staff, and now they're close to home. I'm a happy regular customer.

I placed an order and was given a window of 45mins to 1 hour. After and four and 15 minutes passed I called and was told by a gentleman who answered the phone that it was "heading out the door". Another 25 minutes passed and I called back to be told that my order was never written down. This came as a surprise to me because the girl who took my order double le checked it before giving me a time estimate. This isnt the first time this happened.ed. Unacceptable.

Different, but fantastic pizza.
The sauce is not your standard pizza sauce, but it's not terribly different either. It reminds me of the pizza we use to eat in Ontario and New England but could not find in Nova Scotia.
Lots of cheese (yay!) but they are a little light with the toppings (in fairness, I like a ridiculous amount of toppings).
Staff is laidback and super friendly.
Also, regardless of the hour, there has always been a fresh pizza-by-the-slice available. Invaluable when your visiting a town where everything seems to close by 9pm.
Seating is available but limited, standard takeout pizza place ambiance.

First time trying this pizza Oct 30,2019. Good tasting pizza. Make sure you have napkins though as the sauce makes it messy to eat. Still not sure however if it's better than tomato sauce pizzas, but it is just as good and has a unique taste of its own. Made my own homemade pizza using Sam's pizza sauce and it turned out good also.

My wife and I have been going to acropole in new glasgow for over 20 years.we love Acro and were excited when the truro location opened. Our only issue is that they use hot pepperoni on their slices.my wife is unable to eat spicy food the way she had in the past. She had a heart attack and a stroke after her stroke she has been unable to eat spicy food as it causes her to choke.the owner refuses to make her slices with mild pepperoni.as a result we buy our slices else where when we want a slice.we feel the owner is trying to force us to buy a whole pizza to get the mild pepperoni.

First time getting a veggie pizza here. Definitely was not a fan. There was literally a brick of cheese on the pizza and I found the rest of the pizza was meh. It also seemed watery. Unfortunately this is not for me so I'll never go back. But if you like your pizza loaded with cheese this might be the place for you.

I really enjoy the pizza slice here with their famous sauce. It's different, but in a good way. I feel like the slice is a bit more filling than what you get in a normal place. Also a stand up Donair.

First time here for my boyfriends first time in NS. The staff was amazing! Even let him experience his first "brown sauce" pizza! Needless to say we cannot wait to stop again in 2 years!

A1 service from the staff at Acropole. They went out of their way to accommodate my requests. I was traveling through here and staying the night in Truro. I wanted some "road food" for the next couple days of travel. I had a regular sized cooler and asked them if they could put my pizza in boxes that could fit inside. They gave me some to try and finally found a box that would fit. The girl put my pizza in the box, them wrapped the rest for me to have that night. The pizza was amazing. Something that I can't find in my area, both service and quality. I will definitely be recommending them to family and friends who pass through Truro!

Possibly the most the most delicious pizza I've had in my entire life. Their brown sauce is phenomenal. Definitely a stop when I'm paying Truro now.

OK experience with this pizza shop; food was good but the delivery was slow and the driver insisted on a tip.

I've had pizza in places like Chicago, Newark, Mexico City and many more in between. Acropole's thin crust cheese pizza (extra sauce) is easily one of the top three of the best pies I've tried.
