Admiral Digby Inn and Cottages

I stayed for a night at the end of September. I had car troubles and the woman working the desk in the evening helped me figure it out, and even left a note for me in the morning with additional details! They were able to lend us some cards, and provided extra towels for the teenagers who were travelling with me. The room was clean and fairly quiet; the shower had great water pressure. I just can’t reiterate how nice all the staff were and they definitely made our stay an exceptionally positive one. Thank you!

Here for the wharf rat rally. Great cottage, good service, great breakfast. Very clean and tidy. Phenomenal view.

I would recommend staying here out of anywhere! Amazing staff, clean and beautiful room, and the view! My mum and I wish we could’ve stayed another night as we enjoyed it so much, it just wasn’t in our travel plans! Definitely a next time stay!

Cancelled our booking because of sunscreen on the floor at 11am the day of. They then said they had a room, then when I called to confirm fully cancelled as they had given that room to someone else.
Needless to say, I am disappointed and completely unsatisfied with their horrific service.

Lovely welcome and goodbye from reception staff (2). Spacious room, clean and tidy with an absolutely beautiful view. Car parking at the door. As cyclists we appreciated there storage in secure weatherproof room.

The room was really clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful view of the Bay. It was just what we needed!

It was basic, clean, friendly and comfy. I thought we had a balcony from photos posted but it is a shared lookout view out front. Get out early for the sunrise, bet they're all spectacular. Close to more than the ferry. Can be at the forts in no time.

Comfortable accommodations with excellent, tasty restaurant - worth the stay just to have breakfast here!

Motel was outdated; our room smelled like mildew and was not clean. The bathroom floor was stained linoleum and The beds were uncomfortable.

The view was awesome and the service and staff were great.j

Cons.we only found out that the pool was broken after we checked in (nothing written on booking and on there sit) and it was a rainy day so the kids were disappointed and no credit was given or offered.
Pros. Room was a good size and clean with a big shower and a great view.staff are very friendly

Don't let the Motel style building fool you! This is a well maintained Inn. Comfortable beds, nice service and good breakfast food. I suggest the Salmon Eggs Benny.

The fastest WiFi I’ve ever seen at a motel by a mile. Basically as good as at home which you never see in a motel. My room was fairly comfortable and clean, although quite outdated. The view was great. Overall it’s a pretty good spot

The definition of a 3 star hotel. The inn was advertised as clean and friendly - and it was. What it didn't mention was that it was outdated and just weird. Carpet and wallpaper is fine, outdated, but fine. The door to the balcony in our water view room was very stiff and hard to open and close, which again isn't a huge deal but is annoying and questionable.

What's weird though, are the carpeted boxes on the floor - sort of makes you wonder what they're covering up. Again, odd but not a deal breaker. What was for me was something that, in my opinion, should NEVER be in a hotel room: a locked door inaccessible to guests. Is it just a utility closet or access for maintenance? Probably, but having a locked room in the room your staying in is uncomfortable and unnerving.

If these sorts of things don't bother you, the inn is otherwise fine. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. View was nice and there's lots of parking. But I'll be steering clear of the weird locked room without a door handle thanks.

We spent 5 nights at the Admiral We had a wonderful time, the staff was wonderful and always helpful. Room was cleaned to my high standards and the view from our private balcony was simply breathtaking! We were slightly disappointed that the dining room wasn’t open for dinner, but the breakfast service more than made up for it, the scallop and bacon omelette is divine and addictive! We will definitely be back for another visit.

Older building, but clean and beds are great. Breakfast was excellent.

Even though it was just reopening and the pool was unavailable, the room made up for it! The supreme "cottage" like stay was beautiful and KID FRIENDLY. The staff is very friendly and helpful, all linens and beds were CLEAN. Waking up to look across an endless ocean view cannot be compromised. I love it!

The 2 bedroom cottage was great, hired staff was fantastic but the owner, Carol is a the reason I gave a poor rating. Underhanded and fraudulently over charged my Credit Card after they realized the new staff member gave us breakfast coupon that we had not booked as part of our whalewatching package. My card was pre Auth for the full amount on check in but the next morning as I was in the restaurant Was asked to stop by the desk which I did and the same clerk said she needed my card again because for some reason the numbers did not transpose right. I gave her the card and did not think anymore about it. When I returned home and check the amount owing on the card I saw the second amount of 77.62 charged. I was not told nor did I use my pin. This wrong and I have tried to get the extra money refunded. No response from Carol.

We originally booked 1 night but ended up staying for 3. The rooms are clean, ours had a walk in shower, staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the water is amazing, you can watch the sunrise over the bay!
