Alderney Landing

Attended Rock the Harbour. Fantastic concert. Well organized and great crowd. There are plenty of port-a-potties so no long lines. More food trucks would be welcome. It's all around great venue

Have used the ferry many times. Recently took a return trip just to enjoy the nice weather and city views. Toddler really liked the "boat ride", adults liked the price of the exciting trip! We visited the market at the landing and there were many vendors including art, crafts, jewelry, baked goods, clothing, and holiday decorations.

One of the most beautiful places in Halifax. Lots of shops and pubs close at hand. Convenient to get to.

Convenient location, beautiful views, tourist information, local food, theatre, library, art gallery, NSLC, playground, ferry to Halifax, and the list goes on.

Amazing oysters 5 stars for sure if I am only rating them but the crab roll wounding get more than 3 stars couldn’t taste the crab a lot of sauce but I will be coming back for the oysters for sure

Depends on when you go. Weekends are too crowded.farmers market is weak in that the items being sold are not diverse enough.

A gem in the Dartmouth waterfront from the farmers market to the cultural events and the lovely park with views of Halifax. Fun to visit

Place is really enjoyable as it is on the shore and it gets even better with a few restraunts and a library at the place also be sure you visit in the evening the sunset is phenomenal and you don't have to worry about kids there is a kids parks besides all the other things and a wharf for fishing

Checked out the Saturday Farmers Market for the first time since March 2020. Parking suffers due to new outdoor vendor stalls.great spot if you're able to walk to it.

Some dude was wearing his mask hilariously wrong and he looked like a bird Overall fine. Ferry was on time, service was quick and fees are reasonable for public transit. I also like boats so that was a plus getting to go on the water for the first time in a while.

Nice place.but need more things like food carts and things food the kids.some of the people that hang out are kinda rough

Evan's Seafood Restaurant, directly on the Dartmouth side of the harbor, (point where ferries arrive & depart) where my companion and I had THE BEST seafood chowder.lobster, scallops, haddock and mussels.with only a bit of potato.the most amazing broth!
Seriously, you've got to try it.

Beautiful view of the harbour and Halifax but moderately busy. Lots of parking outdoor and indoor on location.

Parking is hard to find at times especially during the week. Not many stores but the public library is there. There is a great park on the other side of the buildings where the children can play or adults can sit and watch the harbour. It's only a ten/fifteen minute walk to Sullivan's pond along the new open canal waterway.

A great place to spend part of your day. Looking forward to the Saturday Market in full swing after this Covid19 Lockdown.

The parking lot requires serious attention. Ground is so uneven. Most vendors are not there. I heard at the Halifax Market that some are outside.
I have no idea where they were hiding because all I saw was a pick up stall for plants.

I love to go to the market and Noggins! BUT! Their is an enormous amount of garbage all around Alderney Landing. Please clean up the mess! - Im from here.its embarrasing! And looks terrible.

Nice play to go for a coffee and local produce and not to mention Delicious seafood. Very nice to go to on the weekends with the family followed by hoping on to the ferry into Halifax.

Albany Landing Saturday Farmers Market every Saturday has reopened, 8 until 1 drop by Artisans window handcrafted products you will find some beautiful bars of handcrafted soap, Handcrafted stained glass unique creations and more

Honestly downtown Dartmouth Alden Landing is one of those little hidden secrets. On the weekends it is bustling with events such as farmers markets and craft markets. You can even get some cool shows that happened on time to time that I absolutely free. Also a great place to get the ferry to Halifax

Great place to go, especially on the weekends when the market is open. Has great views of the bay and a nice area to sit inside on the 3rd level.

It's Burger Week in the Halifax area. I saw that Evan's Seafood had a fish burger offering. I had never been to Evan's and I wasn't aware that they were a vendor at the Alderney Farmer's Market, hence they have limited hours. I arrived at 4: 40pm (they close at 5 pm). Happily I was able to get my fish burger, and it was delivered to my table with a smile! It was DELICIOUS.

An inexpensive way to entertain people, Kids using the Hfx/ Dartmouth ferry. $5.25 for two Kids and one adult, with FREE return pass. There is a kids library and I think an adult library downstairs at Alderney Landing.
There are restaurants there also. Plus downtown shopping both in Hfx and Dartmouth. (in door or outside seating)
Great way to see Hfx HARBOUR. And Bridges.

My beef with places like this is washroom availability, as a diabetic, washrooms need to be obtainable, when most are locked up. That is not fair. The only reason being there will be the ferry terminal for me.

From the farmers market, the library, restaurants in the area, the ferry to Halifax and more this place is central to Darmouth and basically has it all!

Alderney Landing is a place packed with things to do. Grab some delicious food at Evan's, check out the library facilities, walk along the water and enjoy the free WiFi, hop on the ferry to Halifax, or attend the weekly farmers market!

I am sure that it was very good! We enjoyed everything we saw landscape seascape and places that we went to restaurants museums parks.

The newly renovated areas are wonderful, great place to plug in and relax, the ferry terminal seating could use an update but other then that just a really great place for traveling food and sometimes concerts. Great place.

Beautiful indoor and outdoor facility. Great staff always ready to help, even on off days). Next to beautiful Water view and board walk.next to ferry and Dartmouth Downtown!
