Angie's Family Restaurant

This is one of, if not THE most underrated restaurant in the valley. We did our annual atv ride on Saturday, October 6, and we arranged for a party of 16 for lunch. We had some mechanical trouble and showed up 30 minutes late. They had our spot reserved, and were extremely efficient in getting our drinks and food. The food was amazing for all of us, and it came out incredibly quick, very respectful of our time and our ride. The servers were very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Just a very well run business, and it has been this way every time we visit. Well done!

Our Turkey and Chicken was dry, the stuffing was gross, the vegetables tasted old and were unappetizing, I ordered full portions and received half portions, and two of the 5 turkey dinners had slices of bread instead of stuffing, when I called about the food I was directed to an employee named Sarah, who insisted that she has "sold over 100 turkey dinners today and that nobody else complained, she was extremely rude and condescending. Overall the food and service was terrible and its not worth the money (It was $105 total, all are the same as the meal in the photo below, three with the stuffing were we supposed to receive in all of the meals, they also include some gross coleslaw, cranberries and gravy) or the terrible experience.

It was the best family restaurant we have been to since moving here to Nova Scotia, I highly recommend it

Classic family restaurant with a large menu of items to pick from. The mushroom Swiss burger special was delicious!

The food is outstanding. Montreal chicken sandwich is a unique take on a burger and it's so good and prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. We'll absolutely be a repeat customer.

Great food. Well definitely be back. Servers were definitely busy and had a hard time getting back to us after our food came. Minor issue with the fish due to issues with the fryers (they explained it wasn't a normal issue). Overall, the entire table enjoyed our meal.

I went to the restaurant at 5: 30 yesterday (Thursday). I was seated at 5: 40. At 6: 00 after not having anyone come to take an order, I left. I waited to speak with someone about my experience but nobody showed up. I understand it is a popular restaurant. I’ve never eaten there and wanted to give it a go. I acknowledge that maybe they were short staffed. I don’t know. A table for 4 was seated after me and got served before me. Very frustrating restaurant experience.

We ate here on Sunday, September 3rd. Busy holiday weekend. We were a group of 4 (60+ year olds) on motorcycles. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We were seated quickly by a nice young woman. Within 4 minutes we were served drinks and had our main order taken. The food was delicious and the portions were lovely. The turkey dinner was wonderful. Two of us had the gingerbread with butterscotch sauce and it was one of the best I have ever had. I noted that it was a busy weekend and that the restaurant was busy because we had backtracked a little bit from another local restaurant that treated us very poorly.
We all loved Angie’s restaurant and I have already told friends that they need to try it. We will probably be down that way a few more times during the Fall season and that is where we will be eating.

It's ok. Nothing to write home about. Just another spot trying to make it in the world.
When we went, the service was insanely slow for an almost empty restaurant.
The kids menu is seriously overpriced. Our food was mediocre and overpriced.
I do not foresee us ever going back.

Lunch time. My wife ordered a seniors meal, and I ordered a sandwich @$11.95. Taking my order, I was asked "fries" sure, thinking that all sandwiches and burgers usually come with a "side. " When our bill arrived, I was shocked to see that my side of fries cost $4.50 extra.

This is a gem of a place. I had delicious pan fried haddock and bread pudding for dessert. Their menu offers many options. The service was exceptional and it was nice to sit outside on their patio.

Stopped by for lunch on our vacation, no complaints about the food, but $3 for a cup of coffee is insane. Everything is an add on, Denver sandwich should come with fries, nope, these are extra, so is coleslaw, so lunch was over $40 all said & done. Don't assume your meal has anything included with it.

***thanks for the follow up, we have learned our lesson, just had lunch for 2 in Kentville, cost $25, that's more like it. Don't assume when the server asks "fries, mashed, rice? " that she means they are included, she's upselling, we made the mistake of assuming, not anymore

Ordered clams and chips. Clams are essentially naked, no coating to speak of. Not what I was looking for.

Friendly staff, good family eating. Went here after my nieces radiation and they were busy right from open. I would go back for sure.

Craving a home-cooked meal? Angie's is my go-to restaurant whenever I'm craving a turkey dinner or hot hamburger dinner. They offer good-sized meals, so you get your money's worth, which is an incentive in today's world. They offer a great variety on their menu, including gluten-free. Their apple crisp is another favorite of mine. Lots of parking, unique octagon building, outside seating, take out, and the service is exceptional; very friendly and kind.

Stop by with an appetite. Great food and great prices. You leave feeling full and satisfied. So glad we stopped here. Thank you for the great service and atmosphere.

We find the food portions and quality have decreased greatly over the last year. Really enjoyed Angie’s in the past years but not so much lately. Although staff are the best and very professional…. Just the amount and quality of food has changed for the not so good.

My Mother in law and I ate at Angie’s it was fantastic, the service was good and we both got soup. The best clam chowder I have ever had! Full of chunks of fish! And a warm roll right out of the oven! The ice tea was great and when we told someone it was our first time there he said we should not leave without a dessert, I was so glad we had coconut cream pie, I felt like I was in Florida! So tropical! Wonderful day out, we will be back… thank you

Our fireettes group met there for our 53rd Anniversary dinner.excellent food and service.and our waiter Steve made us the best Irish coffee.it was done just right.cheers to Steve.
