The manager of this clinic denied my pets access to vet care, to punish me for telling the truth. That woman chose to protect a puppy mill and herself, and deny service to a rescue. I worked at both the clinic, and the puppy mill. I was forced to watch my pet suffer, wither and die in my arms. Because all clinics around me are owned by those responsible (Adele V). Or owned by Vet Strategy.

Trina MacDonald owns her own dairy farm "Misty Hills". She directly benefits from the laws the McCarron's put in place, in this community.

Trina MacDonald, is not fit to manage anything. And acts strictly, in her own self interests.

Shockingly rude reception staff! Called for an appointment and have never been spoken too so rudely by the staff of any business! The vet was lovely but the front end staff are appalling! Be prepared if you call or bring your pet into this practice!

Such wonderful people here. The poor staff had to deal with us many times due to our dog going after a porcupine and our cat being diabetic. They've always been absolutely fantastic.

My son has a 1 year old pup and we call to see if we could get him in as he was very sick we were told to call the next morning and they would see him well we call and they said they couldn't see him as he was not a regular. Not impressed.

Big thanks to the staff of Antigonish Veterinary Clinic. Me and my dog were passing through on holiday from BC when she developed enough pain that she could barely walk. They were able to squeeze us in and get her taken care of getting us back on the road.

Cannot say enough about them! Not our hometown vet, but they were the only emergency on-call available to us when we had to let our girl cross the Rainbow Bridge earlier than we expected to have to. Dr. Andrew was so kind, so compassionate. Days later received a beautiful sympathy card, hand-signed by the entire team. Hoping they have room to take our remaining (and future!) fur babies on as regular clients, as service like this is worth an hour's drive each way!

My 19 year old suffering, dying cat needed euthanasia services desperately last Monday morning. I was asked if she is a patient. I said no and was informed they're not accepting new patients, so they would not help me. Ended up giving her unnecessary stress driving her to the next town 45 minutes away for the service. Not impressed by this place AT ALL. I was even willing to pay extra on the weekend to have them help her, but THEY WERE NOT EVEN OPEN FOR EMERGENCIES! Had to witness extended suffering and subsequent paralysis of my sweet cat. Unnecessary and inhumane if you ask me.

Called to ask for vet care, NON-emergency.i was told theyre not accepting "out of region". So lol here's the thing, I live in the middle of no where, as do many nova scotia residents.so.where do we go? The receptionist who replied "WE aren't taking new patients". Nice job being, NICE? And super informative, great welcome home!

Extremely unprofessional and rude management and front desk staff. The vets and vet techs are amazing, but the way the front management treats clients is unacceptable. The way this clinic has been run lately is appalling.

Our male cat was neutered for $132.15, taxes included. He didn't seem to suffer pain afterward, and it was a same day service.
That said, his intake form had a check box for ear mite cleaning which I marked "no" while remarking to the receptionist that with additional cats needing surgery, there were better ways to budget our money. I was asked to provide an emergency number "in case of complications, such as if the cat ended up needing a spay instead of a neuter. "
Here is where I made the mistake of noting I would be unavailable, but in case of an emergency they could reach my husband. They, of course, called him to tell him ear mite treatment was necessary-which I had already refused. (They didn't mention that fact to him, of course.)
As ear mites are contagious and we had additional cats at home, this cost was nothing more than an excuse to add charges to my bill. Although I had prepaid for the surgery to make pick up a little quicker, the additional $24 bill for topical treatment was waiting for me. They didn't apologize for going against my written instructions and told me to take this up with my husband.
It wasn't my husband's fault. It seems clear to me they pad their bills. This was not an emergency. They made a choice to ignore the intake form. If we do go back, we won't be so trusting.

I brought my lil bunny Penelope to this clinic to get spayed. To no fault of the clinic Penelope had a bad reaction to the anesthetic. Luckily for me the vet was very knowledgable and cautious. Due to their diligent observations of Penelope while administering the drugs, they were able to make the call to not proceed with the operation after noticing she was not reacting ideally. A less diligent clinic may not have noticed and would have ended up very poorly for Penelope! I was very nervous in the first place about her surgery and one of the staff members noticed and pulled me aside to ensure I know she was doing ok, which I really appreciated!

All in all they made Penelope and I very comfortable. They all clearly love animals and only want whats best for your pet!

They also didn't charge me for the anesthetic or anything since the operation wasn't actually done which I appreciated.
