Avon River Motel

Stayed there for 2 years, had to go back after the hurricane, took out our electrical mast. Week and a half. No issues

Inexpensive spot in the area. Great location and close to downtown. Rooms are nothing to rave about, room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Didn’t want to sleep under the covers, also specks of blood in the bathroom. Although not ideal, they gave us a place to stay with WiFi that was a fourth of the price of hotels in the area. Recommend if you’re in a pinch, kind owners.

Rooms are disgusting, literally holes in the wall from someone punching it and it not repaired, hole in the wall covered by dustpan to keep mice out, screen in bathroom completely gone, door didn’t lock and at 4am and then again 5: 30 the room next to me started blaring music. I’d rather sleep in my car then ever stay here again
