Balmoral Grist Mill

Three delightful ladies divided the tour among themselves. Husband's father was a farmer so it brought back memories for him of the old water wheel and farming practices. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

We didn't know what to expect but it was great. Quiet place, great scenery, lovely tour by staff that care. They sell oats and flour if you can keep it in a cooler. Recommend this stop if you are in the area.

My wife and I were here and what an AMAZING place out in the country and into the woods! Such history and amazing skilled work by amazing skilled people back in the late 1800s. Very interesting history of the area and all the ways they worked to make what they needed. Would be wonderful to visit on a drying day, but we got to explore all over the mill and the guide was absolutely excellent!
