Benoit Electric

Hired Benoit to install outdoor light fixtures. After receiving an outrageous bill I never used them again. Then recently a contractor removed 2 of these lights to repair a wall and discovered they were not installed properly or even to code! No electrical box and not grounded. I had another electrician I've used since them to come and properly install these lights.

I emailed Benoit to inform them of their error but never received a reply! Called to follow up and still no reply. So I opened a BBB file against them and they still refused to refund me for work I was charged for but was not even completed.

Very unprofessional! Take no accountability for illegal work they completed. I will be contacting local inspectors next to inform them of these issues.

Benoit is an excellent business on all counts except for time of delivery. They are honest, efficient, helpful, provide a good product, and are conscientious. However, they are understaffed bc of no workers available in this day & age. Not their fault but they can’t provide the services needed on an acceptable timeframe.

First it took multiple try’s to get them to call me back. Finally booked them in for a quote, the electrician was super negative and never completed a quote or wrote us back on emails.
Then the booked us in for asbestos testing, never showed up and then sent a email after the booking saying - by the way we can’t staff or complete your job it’s to big for us. We are only asking for pot lights, electrical panel update and they recommend asbestos testing.
Super disappointed with there work ethic and professionalism

We did not have a good experience. We had scheduled an asbestos inspection and went to the house the morning of the appointment but no one showed up. We checked out email and a half hour after our scheduled time they said that they couldn’t do the work. We were not called or given any heads up.
